Chapter 4 - Globes.

Amber settled down on the bed and lay back on the head rest. Having decided it was best to keep that morning's events to herself, she had swept her hair over the sewn ear.

"So, " John spoke from the bathroom "why did you stand me up?"

"Yesterday?" she wondered why he had brought it up then. "I had a surprise meeting."

"A surprise?"

"A real shocker. "

"Sounds awful, what about?"

"You know, just the usual stuff. "

She assumed he was currently applying shaving cream. You couldn't feel a stubble on that man's chin.

"Hope your meeting didn't have anything to do with the asylum. We had an understanding. "

He had always been more than against her going to the Asylum. She couldn't afford to let him know. Who knows what he'd do if he saw her ear.

"Mace said he tried to call you. "

"Oh yeah? " she absently replied amid reading her book. "I'll see him tomorrow. "

"So? " he said appearing with a killer smile.

She had chosen wisely, he was a gorgeous man. He stood there tall and bulky, dominating the doorway to the ensuit bathroom. His muscles were carefully sculpted, thrice each week.

On a thick neck hung prominent shoulders. From those proceeded two limbs with bulging muscles.

His pecs seemed to try their best to escape his frame, pulling outward. In their shadow rose little hill lets in the name of abs. From his towel that chocked his trim waist, protruded the globes of his derier.

Looking at the two of them in that dim light, you would have fancied them the first of God's creation. Matching each other in beauty.

She slowly took off her robe, revealing the lace she had underneath. Her figure was beyond spectacular. The hardly there bra let her mummaries fall so effortlessly and controlledly. Her blonde hair, recently blown dry and bounding.

She had the abdomen of an athlete with nuanced abs and a waist that could easily rival that of a wasp.
Her porcelain skin that usually looked too white now had glowing yellow light dancing upon it.

The skimpy undies left nothing for Mr. Brown's imagination. She knew she turned him on.

"What was that about making it up to me? " he asked slyly.

They were intertwined for less than a few moments before he fell back in utter satisfaction. She on the other hand, was so and so.

"That was amazing wasn't it? "

"Mmmh. " she took her book from the night stand. "Goodnight."

He had already passed out from his toil. Looking at him sleeping like an angel, she couldn't help but shiver at how perfect he was.

Maybe that was it, he was too perfect. She loved that man, she really did but he could never give her what she wanted. He could never satiate her hunger, but she knew where to get her fix.

She knew him like the back of her hand but he knew nothing at all. She had never fully unraveled herself to him and wasn't willing to. She was more than happy to leave the past where it was. At whatever cost.

The pain tore her skull once again. This was the first time it had done so twice in one day. She bent as the pain persisted. If a neurologist were there, he would tell her that her brain tissue was tearing apart. She fell from the bed and onto the wood floor. EIGHTEEN.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Short filler chapter but very important to the plot.
I can't wait to hear from you, this chapter raises so many questions. For example: Why can't John 'satisfy' her? Is it a bad idea to keep William's case from her huaband?
Hmmm, there's that pain again...

See you at the next one. 😘
