Chapter 3 - Parafiliac.
Whatever little thoughts made their way into her mind were bleak. What would John say? She was so divorced. She pushed William back with all her might. She was trembling. Her exposed legs were pale as all surface blood had found it's way deeper into her flesh.
She did little with the time she had bought, he lunged forward again and came crashing into her. She cried in pain.
That was more than enough information for one day. All she needed was to get out of there alive. The white button was so far. She had no doubt in her mind that William would end her. 'Free hands'.
A final burst of energy, she afforded herself, and sent her leg swinging. Contact! It landed squarely on the abuser's groin. William let ot a yell and he went cowing down. She pushed past him and dove for the button.

Soon enough she had been tended to and settled in Dr. Brey Shepherd's office. Her bloody hair was now washed back to blonde. The right ear that William almost bit off fully stitched, seven stitches.
"Damn bastard!" she said out of her thoughts.
"That's no way for a doctor to talk. "
The comment came from a person she had never seen before. He was tall and garbed in a leather jacket which only highlighted his slender frame. He looked half asian.
"Dr. Brown, this is agent Lee Norton. " Dr Shepherd walked in after Lee.
"Agent? "
"Yes. He's heading the FBI taskforce that's looking for all the missing people. "
"Nice to meet you. " he gave a side smile which she did not return. "So what the hell happened in there? "
"Yeah are you okay? " Shepherd asked, handing her a coffee.
"I think I got something useful."
"What?! " Dr. Shepherd almost fell over his own words.
"Most serial killers don't just kill or....rape," she hesitated on that word. "for the sake of it. They have reasons. Something they're looking for. "
"Like justice or a message they need to pass. Or healing past trauma. " Dr. Shepherd offered. She let him finish before continuing.
"As soon as he walked in, I knew he was a preditory type. Confident and unperturbed. But I got an inkling that he was hiding something. "
"Mmh. He has a very good shield. Even I couldn't read him. "
"That's true doctor Shepherd, but I have something you don't. "
"And what is that? "
"Breasts," agent Lee chocked on his coffee. "I needed to see him in his preditory state, so I seduced him."
"What?!!!" both men let out.
"I took off my coat and began taunting him."
"Are you mad?! " Dr. Shepherd burst out. "He could've killed you?"
"Maybe, but I got what I needed. It's not much but it's something. When I had him thoroughly aroused, his first reaction was to assault me."
"But almost all rapists do that Dr. " Dr. Shepherd reasoned.
"No. This was different. I could feel it.
It's like the voice of my cries, the smell of my blood..... sent him over the edge. "
"So he likes the rough stuff, " agent Lee said sitting down on Shepherd's chair. He put his feet up. "What does that have to do with my case? "
"He's a Parafiliac. " agent Lee just gave a blank stare and she sighed into her coffee.
"It means he only gets to his peak when causing his partners, his victims harm. " Dr. Shepherd spoke.
"Some BDSM shit? "
"Not really, " she took charge of the conversation once more. "Parafiliacs love causing emotional damage too. They torture the mind... Maybe even more than the body. "
"So that explains it. " Lee thought.
"What? "
"All of the past survivors who I tried to get to testify against him were too scared to talk. Just a mention of his name and they totally freaked. "
"I'd like to interview some of them if you don't mind. " she said looking from one man to another. Dr. Shepherd shrugged and Lee just looked down.
"There's no point. It failed then, it will fail now. "
"But.... "
"Just focus on William. After all, you're the only one who has given me concrete results."
One thing still remained hanging above her like a rope at the gallows. She didn't like the fact that she was next in an unsuccessful line of psycho analysts and psychologists.
"So why so many psychologists? What number am I to you? "
"Only three have seen him before you. "
"And you? " she turned to Shepherd. "Why did you stop analyzing him? What were your findings? "
"Don't mind yourself with that. Just focus on your job. " agent Lee said passively.
"Well inorder to do my job, I need to know everything."
"I'm the only one who is allowed to know everything. " Lee slurred.
"You're just making this harder..... "
The familiar sharp pain tore through her brain in a skull splitting ail. She bent over to fall, causing both gentlemen to give her a hand.
"Are you alright?" Shepherd asked as he helped her up.
"No it's just a migrane. "
"I can get someone to drive you home......" Lee offered but she took her bag and barely rightly walked out.
"I'm alright, thank you. "
She was lying. Just as soon as she came to a corner the pain came fully and she cried in pain. It tore through her frontal lobe. It went as soon as it had come. Lasting a little longer this time. ELEVEN.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Sorry, I know Dr. Shepherd looks like he's just there to dump info but it's a character trait so don't worry.
But let me know what you think. Is Dr. Brown on the right track? Will William give up valuable information that easily? What is he really playing at? And what's up with Lee? What is he hiding? I guess we'll find out at the next post.
Press that little star to vote for the chapter.
