AMBER BROWN.

William's stare was unassuming. Almost smug. It had been an agonizing four days after accepting Dr. Shepherd's request. The night before Amber hadn't gone home till late. She spent hours trying to figure out what her next step would be.

He had threatened to bring her past back to life. She feared nothing more than that but she had come to see him one last time. To get as much for Lee as she could.

She carried all the blame for what happened to Olman. William somehow had a way to reach people in the outside world and she needed to find out how. Was it foolish?

"How did you do it?" He just looked at her. Same smug look. He was winning on all the levels that mattered to him.

"Don't tell me you're scared doctor." his battered pink lips let out.

"You know, when you told me that all those doctors had seen you and somehow quit, I thought you were a genius. I thought you were finding a way into their minds and destroying them from within. Clearly you're just a coward. Resulting to threats. Did Harris even kill herself?" She had lost her cool. But she didn't care.

He just stared at her. That verile intensity burning her deep within. Raising surges of guilty pleasure. She hated to enjoy it. To enjoy the throught of being with a man like him. Clearly, erasing the past did nothing to what it birthed.

"You know what I wanted since the first moment I say you?"

William began to growl. His slow bounding words gave a rhythm to Amber's heart. Had she pushed the leopard too far? She didn't reply. She just looked sternly at him in his acrobatic position. He continued calmly.

"I've wanted to see you wet."

Before she could react, the sprinklers went off. She stood up fast. The cold water fell plentifully on her head. Her chest emptied it's wind and she could hardly breathe.

"How did you?"

A shocked expression helped convey her heart's blood. He just sat there, a predatory look in his eyes. She stumbled back. If he somehow got it to rain down, what else could he do? She turned and ran for the door.

She pushed the white button. Nothing! She pushed it again and again, assaulting the white plastic. Nothing!

"That won't help." he said.

She turned fast and leaned her back on the wall. He was there. One foot away. The water poured down his face and brought his light long locks snaking down his face.

She pushed him aside and dove for her bag. She took out her pepper spray and backed up towards the wall. She had gotten it after her last ordeal. This time, she was prepared. Or so she thought.

"Stay back!" she hissed bitterly,
whipping her head to clear her face of wet hair. He smiled and walked towards her. "Stay back!"

She yelled again, backing up till there was no more room. He moved forward, holding that demonic smile.

She pressed her finger hard on the button. A persistent stream of spay found it's short way to his face. He yelled and reeled back. Only slightly coming short of the grey steel table.

She knew the water from the emrgency sprinklers would alleviate some of the sting within no time. She ran to the white button, almost slipping on the now pooling water.

She pushed the button repeatedly. "Why is no one coming?" She cried to herself.

She could hear William somewhere behind her, struggling to breathe. Seeing no one was coming to open the door, she turned to assess the room.

To the right corner near the table, William was on his knees washing his face in the pooling water. He was uttering curses but they fell on deaf ears. To his right was his metal chair fallen in the shallow pool. Between the gray table and her stood her chair.

Crouching next to it was her bag. She had nothing left in there that could help ... except one thing. As she began to aproach her bag, she saw her worst fear come to life.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Wow! That was a crazy one. Is William just toying with his food? I wonder if Lee knows this is where Amber is.
