I tapped my pen on the desk in boredom. "Romeo and Juliet was one of  Shakespeare's most famous..." 'Yes, I know. I've already read this professor... At least the next essay will be easy.' I thought as I looked at Calem sitting two rows up and taking notes. "I guess my lecture is too boring for some of you" the professor looked at me with an annoyed look. "I'm sorry, what was the question again?" I asked nervously aware of the other students staring at me. The professor sighed "Why does Juliet drink the potion?" he asked "So she won't have to marry Paris and can be with her love, Romeo" I replied "Very good, now fate is a big part of the play..." he continued I gazed over and saw Calem smirking at me. I sighed 'that was embarrassing' I thought.

-After Class-

"Hey!" I turn around and see Calem walking toward me "you sure were in la-la land in there!" he snickered. My cheeks flushed a flaming red color "Yeah..erm... I was thinking of a poem I've been writing and I just tuned out" I said "Well you better pay attention next time or you'll have to share it with me when your done" he winked and smiled "Sure" I replied. I nervously dropped my book on the floor. "Let me get that" Calem said as he grabbed the book off of the floor and handed it to me he smiled as his hand brushed my hand.

I blushed again I decided to change the subject "Thanks, So you have a big game Friday, right?" I asked "Yeah were facing a tough team, but I think we got a shot" he replied "I'll have to go to bring you good luck" I giggled "I'm counting on it!" he winked I felt butterfly's fluttering in my stomach. "So hows Astrid doing? I haven't seen you together lately" I asked "Umm... Well we broke up last week" he replied "I'm sorry how come?" I asked curious. His face turned red and he looked away nervously before replying "We just wanted different things. I'm looking for someone not so.... Well, rude and stuck up" he looked at me in the eyes "Do what makes you happy. That's what matters most" I replied "that's the plan" he smiled we looked into each other's​ eyes again I felt as if I was melting into a puddle in the middle of the hall. "Are you tutoring tomorrow afternoon? I need some help with the next English essay that's due" he asked "Yep! Meet at the library around 3:00 okay?" I said "sounds good I'll be there" he smiled "I'm heading to the cafeteria for lunch. Wanna come?" I asked him "I would, but I gotta get to my study group for history. Big exam coming up! maybe later?" he asked I smiled "I'm counting on it! See you tomorrow!" Calem waved goodbye as I headed for lunch. 'I've known Calem since we were kids. We lived next door to each other and played together when we were growing up... But, we grew apart as we got older. He started playing sports and became popular and I enjoyed my books and writing' I thought

BUZZ BUZZ

My phone interrupted my thoughts. I pulled the black phone out of my pocket and looked at the text.

Ash- Plz say u r coming to lunch today. I am starving and only May is here, SAVE ME!!!

My heart skipped a beat and I broke out in a huge grin.

Serena- On my way now. Grab me a sandwich and meet me outside. U owe me!!

Ash- No prob. Hurry May is talking about her cat again.

Serena- B right there in 2mins

'Lunch with Ash! I think my day just turned around' I thought

-FlashBack-
I was walking to the local café and got a coffee I sat at one of the tables to study in peace away from my loud roommate. There was a live band playing a nice, deep romantic song I couldn't look at the stage because I didn't want to ruin the moment.

When I was leaving I bumped into the guitarist with his piercing hazel eyes, messy raven black hair, and guitar case swung over his shoulder I was almost too shy to talk. "Are you okay? Sorry I bumped into you" he apologized "i-its okay, I'm Serena" I said "Names Ash" he gave a toothy grin and shook my hand. Now every day that I saw him at the café we talked and now we hang out at school.
