Chapter 16:Abby's Point of View
I curl up in my corner of the library. It's wedged behind a bookshelf and a small, but tall love seat. I climbed over it to get into my corner. There aren't any windows in my corner, and the nearest light is at least 5 feet away. It's perfect. I try to draw a picture. But I can't focus on it. I try writing lyrics. But I can't put my heart in them. I try to read a book. I can't I just can't. So I plug in my earbuds. The memory by mayday parade comes on. A hazy memory starts to make its way into my mind. It's when I was in middle school. There was a foreign exchange program at my school. Me and Gracie were always hoping to be put in it- but let's face it. We weren't at the top of our classes and they were the only ones put in the program. One day 4 Australian kids came into our grade. After 2 months they went back. But it was an eventful 2 months. I got really close to one, Gracie to another. I even noticed Cheyenne warming up to one. The 4th one just got along with everyone. He ended up hanging out with Sebastian and Josh a lot. His name was Calum, Cheyenne's friend was Luke... Gracie's friend was Michael..... and my friend was Ashton. I can't believe I forgot what he looked like. Gracie probably forgot too, but who knows until I ask around? I leave my corner, only a little disappointed that no one came after me.
