Flight
Flight
'I'll wing it',
said you.
Flew
like Icarus
toward the Sun.
On feckless, makeshift wings.
More than lust for flight
was needed.
Wisdoms went unheeded.
The waxing of desire
brought a melting fire
that plunged you into sea.
Drowned.
I found your eyes
drifting on the tides.
