The sun dipped beneath the hills; painting the sky a dazzling mix of orange and pink. Quite a show. The deserted highway to my right kept me company as I walked. The buildings of civilization are coming to an end, being replaced with open countryside. Even the pang in my feet couldn't stop the restlessness that had made it's way into my heart. I just needed to walk. To leave my broken life. Before anyone else did. The empty path which I had followed for sometime now, still looked wide and untouched. The feeling of it never ending fueled my need. This path would go on forever just as my need to get away would be. I won't look back. Why would I need to be reminded of the wreckage that is my life? I have become a restless traveler, and a restless traveler I will stay. I can't be saved. I shake my head as if to shake away the negative thoughts. Just keep walking.
