because when I look in the mirror

I see her.

You're the parent

you're supposed to be the one who cares about them

you're supposed to have strong shoulders 

without tumors

because I shouldn't have to be the one feeding myself to her

I'm supposed to have me

no one else should get to steal my safety

I wish I wasn't the one who has to care about them

because if I wasn't,

I would do a much better job of it.
