I stared up at the beast.

I stared up deeply into the beast's terrifying eyes. His eyebrows furrowed vertically as he let out a low growl.

"You don't scare me!" I glared deeply into the soul of the beast.

"You should be." He reached out towards me, "now get out of my way." His voice boomed causing nearby windows to shatter as he attempted to push me out of his way.

"No!" I pushed him back. "I won't let you hurt her!" I glanced back at the small, frail, shivering child that sat curled up in a ball behind me.
