Learning To Rumba (Polllardii)

I would like to thank the lovely Mrs. Polllardii for accepting to collaborate with me. I had so much fun writing this poem with her. She's such a wonderful person who has a great sense of humor.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :D

*****

I'd love to learn to Rumba

But I have two large left feet

I'm thinking, perhaps you'd help me

When can we arrange to meet?

*

Oh, I'd love to teach you to Rumba

But I dance as well as a tree

They say it takes two to Tango

In this case it might take three

*

You are trying to wriggle out of it

Please do not tell me 'no’

By telling me you are not fit,

I insist that we give it a go.

*

But what if I stumble and fall?

What if I squash your toes?

I'm afraid I'm a dangerous dancer

I don't want to break your nose

*

In my mind I can see us dancing

And it doesn't look good, I admit

So perhaps we had better forget it

And instead I will teach YOU to knit
