What better way to start a book about top tens than with a list about the author? I don't want to come off as some mysterious entity, because I'm not; I'm just a (partially) normal guy who happens to be somewhat known on a social media site. So, without further ado, let's go!

10. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm from the United States. I've lived in the same area in Illinois my whole life, which is about an hour away from Chicago (fun fact: that's why I reference the city a lot in my works!).

9. I have a small family in my household. There's both of my parents, me, and my younger brother. I also have a pet cat named Willie; I seem to be the only one who loves him.

8. I may be the oldest child in the household, but I'm not my parents' first child; they had another son before me in 1992, but he passed away from a brain tumor in 1994. Then, in 1997, they had me! Even though I never knew him, I often wonder how my life would be different if he was still here...

7. I'm 6 feet, 1 inch tall; I hit a growth spurt around the end of middle school that I sort of wish continued. Oh, well; I'm just glad I'm tall! XD

6. My favorite color is light blue. I'm not entirely sure why, though. Maybe it's because blue is a creative color (unlike green) and I'm a creative guy!

5. I'm a Christian who takes his religion seriously. No, I don't mean that I force God's word onto people or that I avoid anything "fun", but I do mean that I put God first, I willingly go to church every Sunday (when I can), and I come to Him whenever I need help. My biggest pet peeve is when people claim to be Christians, yet do the exact opposite of His word.

4. I plan to go to college to become a filmmaker. It's been a dream of mine for a while to be involved in making movies! Of course, if all else fails, I could always become a professional author ;)

3. Everyone has their own collection of items; mine happen to be Mr. Potato Heads. Ever since I watched Toy Story, he's always been my favorite character! So, to this day, I have my own collection giant collection of the toys!

2. I have a beautiful girlfriend that I met at the beginning of this school year. Our personalities couldn't be more alike and I love it! The fact that she's also 4 feet, 11 inches tall also adds for comical effect, especially when we hug!

1. This is the best one of all: my name isn't actually Cole; it's a nickname my parents gave me at birth that I've gone by my whole life! Let me explain: my father is a huge fan of NASCAR, or automobile racing, for you non-Americans. Around the time of my birth, there was in a movie called "Days of Thunder" about a NASCAR driver named Cole Trickle. My dad then wanted to name me Cole, but not as my legal name, in case I didn't like it and wanted to change it. So, eventually, I was given the name Nicholas (Ni-COLE-as). So technically, my account should be 'Nicholas_Goodrich'. XD But I still go by Cole because it's such a unique name and I love it!
