Above is 1. a video for an art contest I'm taking part in and 2. my entry for said contest. You can watch the video for more info, especially if you yourself want to partake in the contest, but if you don't, here's the basic rundown.

Basically, the goal is to personify one of the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) and place them in an environment of a different season. In my case, I personified winter and placed her in a summer beach with 2 children.

It was sketched with pencil and then drawn over with an ink pen and crayons. Not the best, but for a traditional-only challenge, I'd say it's not bad.

I decided to use this image to practice adding shadows to add depth. It's not perfect, by any means, but compared to other drawings of mine, I'd say it certainly helps the objects and people stand out!
