Piri and Lea eagerly made their way through the crowd of guests in the ballroom to Aqua, who was talking to a dignitary. "Aqua!"

When she heard Piri call her, she turned to face her sister as the younger bluette slowed to a stop to recompose herself. "Your Highness," She said more formally, "May I present Prince Lea of Twilight Town."

"Your Majesty, it's an honor," the redhead said with a bow.

"Thank you." Aqua then drew her attention to her sister. "Is there something you want to tell me?"

"We would like…" they both said at the same time, not able to contain their excitement, "for your blessing of…" they giggled, "our marriage!"

Aqua blinked in confusion. "Marriage? I'm sorry, I'm confused."

"Well we haven't worked out all the details yet," Piri said excitedly, not noticing Aqua's uneasiness, "I mean, we'll need a few days to plan the ceremony. Of course we'll have soup, roast, and ice cream." Piri then turned to Lea. "Oh! Would we live here?"

"Here?" Aqua repeated in disbelief.

"Absolutely!" Lea exclaimed happily.

"We can invite all twelve of your brothers to stay here with us, and-" Piri said till Aqua raised her hands.

"Wait, slow down! Slow down!" She cut her sister off while trying to calm herself down, "No one's brothers are staying here. No one is getting married."

"Wait what?" Piri looked at her in shock and disbelief.

"May I talk to you? Alone?" She asked Piri, not wanting to cause a scene.

Piri stayed firmly by Lea's side. "No, whatever you have to say, you can say to both of us."

"Fine," she said calmly while she met Piri's stubborn gaze, "You can't marry a man you just met."

"You can if it's true love," Piri argued in a serious tone.

Aqua shook her head dubiously. "Piri, what do you know about true love?"

"More than you," Piri countered back, "All you know is how to shut people out!"

Some people started to see them arguing and Ven and Terra looked at each other, gulping. This could end badly. When they got to them, they tried to calm them down.

"Okay, let's keep-" Terra tried to say but was interupted.

"Well, how would react to your little sister marrying a stranger when they first meet them?" Aqua looked at them and both males gasped, gazing at Lea.

"This guy?" Terra asked and Aqua nodded.

"He looks like a red porcupine..." Ven thought out loud and Lea raised an eyebrow.

"Ven..." Piri pouted and hugged Lea's arm. "His name is Lea."

"I don't think this is a good idea." Terra bluntly pointing out the obvious.

"Terra!" Piri whined.

"Don't 'Terra' me! It is!"

"You asked for my blessing, but my answer is no. Now if you two will excuse me," she said firmly then started to walk away, noticing that a few of the guest were staring.

"Your majesty," Lea pleaded, "If I may ease your-"

"No you may not." Aqua said, cutting him off, "and I think you should leave." Aqua turned to Terra. "The party's over. Close the gates."

"Yes, your majesty." Terra bowed and Ven gasped.

"What?" The spikey blonde didn't want the party to be over.

"Aqua, no!" Piri ran after her and grabbed for her hand; when she did, her glove slipped off.

Aqua gasped when she noticed that her hand was bare and tried to get it back. "Piri, give me my glove back!"

"Um, you might want to give that back..." Ven stepped back a few paces.

Piri, however, held onto it and refused to return it. "Please, Aqua, please, I can't live like this anymore!" she pleaded, her eyes starting to tear up.

"Then leave," Aqua told her sadly then continued to make her way to the exit. Ven and Terra looked at her in shock.

"Aqua... Calm down, it's okay..." Terra held her gloved hand and she dragged him away from them. She knew that it was a hurtful thing to say to Piri, but Aqua didn't want to be the reason her sister couldn't be happy.

All of Piri's sorrow, pain, and anger welled up inside her as she watched her sister shut her out again. Piri couldn't take it anymore and yelled, "What did I ever do to you?!"

"Enough Piri," Aqua growled, trying to keep herself together as she continued to walk away with Terra. Soon everyone in the ballroom was watching what was going on between the queen and princess.

"Piri, calm down-" Ven tried to help.

"No! Why? Why do you and Terra shut us out?" Piri retorted, "Why do you two shut the world out? What are you so afraid of?!"

By the time she reached the doors, Aqua couldn't take it anymore and turned around in anger. "I said ENOUGH!" She accidentally sent a blast of ice from her bare hand and a row of jagged ice spikes covered the floor around her. Terra gulped; there goes the 'Don't tell anyone' rule...

"Uh, okay. That was the total opposite of calm..." Ven commented.

"Ven, shut up..." He whispered to him, which made him shut his mouth.

Everyone fell into a horrified silence and stared in shock, except Terra and Ven, at Aqua, who was holding her hand back in fear. "Sorcery," Vexen hissed as he grabbed one of his guards, "I knew there was something dubious going on here."

"Aqua…" Piri looked at her sister in shock, completely forgetting her anger. Aqua couldn't take the fearful atmosphere of the room anymore and bolted out the door and through the halls.

"You there! Stop her!" Vexen called after Terra and he glared at him.

"I don't take orders from old men like you." He said before running out to meet Aqua in the hallways. She had to get away now that everyone found out. Luckily he caught up with her. "Aqua, let me come with you!"

She was heavily breathing and looking into his soft eyes. She gulped and nodded, "Okay-"

"Get her and the disrespectful traitor!" They heard the Duke of the Kingdom That Never Was and dashed away.

They soon reached the courtyard and all the townspeople greeted Aqua with applause. Ignoring them, Terra grabbed her icy cold hand and tried to make their way through while Aqua trying not to touch anyone. A woman in a pink dress with long curly brown hair and a pink bow came up to her. "Your majesty, are you alright?" she asked with concern, noticing that Aqua looked very troubled. Not wanting to accidentally hurt her, Aqua let go of Terra's hand and backed away from her. When her back hit a fountain, her bare hand flew behind her and touched it, freezing the fountain completely. Everyone around her gasped and started to back away from Aqua except Terra who ran to her.

"Are you okay?" He asked her and she just gulped. She couldn't answer as Vexen and his guards soon reached the courtyard.

"There they are! Stop them!" He pointed at them.

"Aqua, run..." Aqua back away and Terra stood in front of her. "Try and take her, I dare you."

"Get them!" Vexen told his guards and they went towards them.

She held her hands up and backed away, warning them, "Please, just stay away from us. Stay away!" Suddenly another two ice blast shots from her hands and one exploded on the castle steps, causing Vexen and his guards to slip and fall. She heard Terra grunt and he took a knee, clutching the clothes where his heart was.

"Terra!" She teared up, knowing what happened.

"I-I'm fine..." He composed himself and stood up, "Let's get out of here-"

"Monster! MONSTER!" Vexen cried out hysterically as he pointed at her fearfully. Seeing everyone backing away from them in fright, they hurried out of the courtyard.

Piri, Ven, and Lea had just made it to the courtyard and ran after Terra and Aqua when Piri spotted her sister in the crowd. "Aqua!"

Ven saw the so-called traitor guard leader. "Terra!"

The two ran out through the side gate and stopped at the edge of the fjord. "Aqua!" Aqua heard Piri call out from inside the courtyard and turned around. Terra groaned and held his heart, a very small strand of his hair turned white. The bluette gasped, covering her mouth.

"I-"

"This is nothing, I'm fine." He composed himself and they heard Ven and Piri call out their names.

Aqua took a step back and the ground she stood on was covered in ice. She turned to see the ice spread to the water. "Wait! Aqua! Terra!" Piri, Ven, and Lea now stood at the side gate.

Aqua took a step toward the water; when she saw the water freeze, Terra gasped.

"Let's go!" He told her and she nodded. She broke into a run across the fjord, the ice extending across the fjord with every step she took. Terra followed her. He had to protect her, no matter what.

"Aqua, Terra, stop!" Piri tried to go after her, but she slipped on the ice and fell. Lea ran to Piri's side to make sure she was okay and the fallen princess and the blonde watched as Aqua and Terra made it across the fjord and disappeared into the woods.

"The fjord." Lea and the other looked as the ice continued to spread across the water, freezing many of the ships in the harbor, and a gust of cold air blew over the kingdom as it started to snow.

"Are you alright?" Lea asked Piri as they walked back to the courtyard.

"No," Kairi answered.

"Did you know?"

"No," Kairi replied, knowing that he was asking about Lea's powers. "Ven, did you know?"

"Uh..." He scratched his head, guilt flooding his being.

"Don't tell me you knew..." She drooped down a bit.

"Okay, I won't..." He cringed from his own statement.

"Okay..." She smiled but then realized something. "Wait, you didn't say that because what I said, did you?"

He looked down, finally confessing, "I'm sorry, but I was told not to tell anyone!"

Piri sighed, looking down, "Well, at least no one got hurt..."

"It's snowing! The queen has cursed this land! She must be stopped along with that horrible traitor!" Vexen proclaimed in panic, and then turned to one of his guards, "You have to go after them!"

Ven glared at the duke, growling at him. "You shut your mouth! One, Terra would never be disrespectful and he serves and protects Radiant Garden, two, this isn't your kingdom to ruin, and three, we wouldn't be in snow if you haven't have scared her! You're the reason she ran off-"

"Calm down, Ven! He's not worth it." Piri said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You!" Vexen said distastefully at the princess and hid behind his guards, "Is there sorcery in you too? Are you a monster too?!"

"No I'm not. I'm completely ordinary!" Piri countered, offended by Vexen's accusation.

"That's right, she is," Lea said defensively, then noticed Piri giving him a slight glare. "In the best way," he added, her smiling in return.

Piri turned her attention back to Vexen. "My sister is not a monster."

"She nearly killed me!" Vexen argued and Ven's eye twitched. He was trying to keep his cool, but was slowly losing it.

"You slipped on ice," Lea pointed out.

"Her ice!"

"That's it! You've had it!" Ven went after him but Piri and Lea held him back. "Let me go so I can beat him up!" The duke hid behind the two guards who glared at Ven but he didn't seemed phased. He was still glaring at them.

"Ven, calm down! We don't want a war with the Kingdom That Never Was!" Piri said and he growled, but was calming down. She sighed and turned back to the duke. "It was an accident. She was scared and she didn't mean any of this," Piri explained, trying to avoid anymore conflicts. "Tonight was my fault. I pushed her, so I'm the one that should go after her." She turned to Ven. "Bring me my horse!"

"Yeah, I'm coming with you, too!" Ven ran off to get their horses. Piri walked after him.

"Piri, it's too dangerous!" Lea warned her.

"Aqua or Terra aren't dangerous," she assured him, "I'll bring her back and make things right."

Ven brought her a horse and a cloak for her to keep her warm. He put a sword in it's shaft tying it to his belt and putting on a cloak of his own.

"You do sword play?" She asked him as he hopped on his horse.

"Yeah, I practiced with Terra more than once! Well, on rare occasions he did come out..." He said and she sighed, feeling left out.

"I'm coming with you too." Lea insisted, but Piri stopped him.

"No, we need you here to take care of Radiant Garden till we return," Piri told him after she put her cloak on.

"On my honor," the prince swore sincerely.

Piri mounted her horse and faced the crowd. "I leave Prince Lea in charge!"

"You sure you can trust her?" Lea asked them worryingly, "I don't want you getting hurt... You or Ven." Ven smiled from this; well, he is nice.

Piri said confidently and surely, "She's my sister. She would never hurt me." She said and her and Ven whipped the reins and they rode out of the kingdom and into the woods.
