A five year old girl woke up, staring at the ceiling with her crystal blue eyes. She sighed and sat up. She saw her older sister, asleep. She giggled and went over to her bed. "Aqua! Psst! Aqua!"

"Piri, go back to sleep..." Aqua murmured, half asleep to her younger sister.

"I just can't!" Piri exclaimed, promptly flopping on her older sister. "The sky's awake, so I'm awake! So we have to play!"

"Go play by yourself..." Aqua pushed her off the bed. Piri sat on the floor, disgruntled, before her face lit up with an idea in her head. She jumped back up on the bed.

"Do you wanna build a snowman?" She asked and Aqua looked at her with a smirk.

A brunette boy was walking through the hallways when he stretched, ready to call it a day.

"Terra! Wait up!" A boy with blonde spikey hair ran up to him with a bright grin on his face. Terra smiled at the servant boy.

"Hey Ven. I've just finished up my patrol. How's your end holding up?" He asked and the blonde pouted.

"Talking like a guard already? You're not of the royal guard yet!" He said, but shook his head, "Anyway, just finishing up! Is the princesses aslee-"

"Come on, Aqua! Come on!" they heard Piri giggle and Aqua excitedly shush her. Terra and Ven smiled at each other and ran after them.

The girls ran down the halls excitedly and made their way into the large ballroom. "Do your magic!" Piri exclaimed after Aqua closed the doors.

"Aqua? Can we come in?" Terra's voice came through and her smile widened as she re-opened the door, seeing her best friends. She giggled and let them in.

Aqua started to form a little flurry of snow in her hands and asked her sister, "You ready?" Piri nodded and Aqua threw the flurry into the air to create a snowfall.

"This is amazing!" Piri exclaimed while jumping for joy. Terra chuckled and Ven caught snowflake on his tongue. He shivered.

"It's cold!" He grinned and Piri giggled.

"Watch this," Aqua prompted and covered the floor in a layer of ice, turning the ballroom into an indoor ice rink. Both the boys were shocked. Terra started to fall when Aqua caught him.

"I gotcha, Terra!" She sweetly smiled and the brunette widened his eyes, clearing his throat.

"T-thanks..." He said with pink cheeks and Ven laughed at his shyness, which made Terra glare at him. Piri blinked and looked at the brunette curiously. Why was he acting this way?

They then built a little snowman that kind of resembled a duck. "Hi, I'm Donald. I like warm hugs," Aqua said in a silly voice, pretending to be the snow duck. Ven and Terra laughed and Piri clapped her hands.

Piri ran up to it and gave it a hug. "I love you, Donald."

They were having the time of their lives playing in the snow. As Terra and Ven had a snowball fight, Piri jumped into the air, Aqua would catch her by creating snow hills, each one getting taller as Piri jumped.

"Wait! Slow down!" Aqua cried as Piri started to jump faster. Aqua then slipped and fell down. Piri leaped into the air, not noticing her on the floor.

"Piri!" Aqua shot an ice blast and it accidentally hits her sister, knocking her out as Piri fell to the ground. Terra and Ven stopped and was wondering what happened. Aqua ran to her side and tried to wake her up, but Piri remained unconscious and a white streak started to form in Piri's light blue hair.

"Ven, go get mama and papa!" Aqua cried out as the room started to freeze. Ven nodded and ran to go get them.

"What happened?" Terra asked, kneeling at Piri's other side.

"I... I..." Aqua whimpered and snow began to fall. Terra saw this and put a hand on her shoulder. She looked at him. "I accidentally hit her head with my powers..."

"Aqua... It was an accident. It's going to be okay..." He offered a smile but she didn't return one back.

"They're in here!" Ven came in with a man with black hair and a woman with light blue hair soon came running into the room.

"Aqua, what have you done?" The man asked as they went over to them, "this is getting out of hand!"

"Your majesty, they were only playing and Aqua accidentally hit her head!" Terra said, looking at Piri like he was worried.

"I'm so sorry, Piri…" Aqua said worryingly as the woman picked Piri up.

"She's ice cold," she said worryingly as she held Piri close.

"I know where we have to go," the king said. After looking through his books, The father found the solution.

"Terra, Ven, can you come with us?" The queen asked, "No matter what happens, we want you two to be there for our daughters."

"Yes, your majesty!" They said together and got the horses ready. They rode their horses out of Radiant Garden and into the woods.

A young silver haired boy was riding his sled through the forest with his friend, who had spikey brown hair, when two horses galloped past him and they noticed that one of them seemed to have left behind a trail.

"Riku, is that ice?" The brunette asked and the silverette blinked.

"I don't know. Let's check it out!" Riku said. Filled with curiosity, they rode on their reindeer's back as he followed the trail to a barren rock field. The boys and the reindeer hid behind a few boulders and watched as the royal family moved into the center of the field.

"Hello?" The king called out, "Someone please help my daughter." Suddenly, all the rocks around them rolled towards them and transformed into trolls wearing clothes made of moss and crystal necklaces. "It's the king, y'know." one of them said. An elder troll who had a long grey beard and wore a blue hat with stars on it emerged from the crowd and approached the royal family.

The two boys watched with fascination at this, and then suddenly, the boulder they were hiding behind turned into a female troll with short black hair and brown eyes. "Shhh! I'm trying to listen," she whispered as she pulled the boys and reindeer close to her, and then looked at them, "you three are so cute! I'm gonna keep you!"

"Your majesty," the elder troll addressed, then looked at Aqua while asking the king, "Born with the powers or cursed?"

"Born," he replied, "And they're getting stronger."

The elder then examined the unconscious bluette in the Queen's arms and sighed. "You're lucky it wasn't her heart. The heart is difficult to change, but the head can be persuaded." Using magic, he took Piri's memories of her, Ven, Terra, and Aqua playing with her ice powers and changed the memories. "We must remove all traces of magic, even memories of it just to be safe. But don't worry; I'll leave in the fun." Once he finished, Piri was healed, though the white streak in her hair remained. "She'll awaken soon," the elder troll assured the king and queen.

"So she won't remember that I have powers?" Aqua asked.

The king told his daughter, "It's for the best." Terra frowned.

"What about me and Ven?" He asked, "Are we supposed to forget too?" Ven gasped at this.

"You two have to keep it secret from her." The king told them and Terra and Ven looked at each other.

The troll beckoned Aqua over and then explained to her through an illusion projection, "Aqua, within your powers, there is beauty." An image of an older version of Aqua displaying her magic to crowds of people appeared.

"But there is also great danger." The illusion then turned an eerie shade of red, causing the other trolls and Aqua to gasp. "If not controlled, fear will be your enemy." The people in the image then attacked older Aqua and the illusion disappeared.

"No!" Aqua was frightened by the revelation and the king held the young bluette close.

"Don't worry. She'll learn to control it, I'm sure of it," the king said.

When the royal family returned to the castle, the king took every precaution to make sure no one knows about Aqua powers and that she can learn to control them: closing the castle gates, minimizing the staff, telling Terra and Ven to keep Aqua and Piri separated, and getting Aqua in her own room. Terra agreed to stay with Aqua as did Ven stay with Piri. After Terra escorted her to her new room, Aqua shut out both Ven and Piri. Terra decided to stay in her room due to her fear, eventually shutting them out as well. Ven never spoke of the good times they spent or his true feelings about anything, but he didn't exactly act sad. He tried to keep the youngest princess of Radiant Garden happy.

Though Piri can sense how he feels.

She dreams of being with her sister, as well as wanting to bring her and the trio happily together again.
