some people are just so naturally beautiful

they've got small freckles laughing on their cheeks
and moles covering their shoulders
and little gaps, and childhood scars, and memories painted on their skin

they've got lighting eyes during thunderstorms
and lips that taste like apple pie
and fingers that feel like sleep and october's heat

their lungs fully fill up with oxygen;
and when they come around, it's like
nature breaking through the pavement
and when you see them, it's like they've always been there
