14: 'You ain't no cup of tea'
Her surgery was over.
Regina went home to check on Henry and Emma. She also said she would take us in, until we would find a place to stay. I couldn't think about my home, all I could think about is Ravenna's home, making her a home.
Felix, Thomas, and I sat around in chairs while Ravenna laid asleep in her hospital bed. They hooked a machine up to hear her heartbeat, to make sure she's still alive. The people in this world have a way to see her heart waves on a screen. Her's was so calm. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
I sat on one side while Felix and Thomas sat on the other. We all just stared at her.
She would look so peaceful if she didn't have all these machines hooked up to her. With some type of breathing thing in her nose to help her breathe.
I stroked her smooth hand, vulnerability played a huge roll.
"Alright," The male doctor walked in holding a clipboard looking at the papers on it. Then closing the door behind him, "Who is the legal guardian in this situation?"
"Me." Thomas and I sat at the same time. We both looked at each other and sneered.
Felix coughed standing up, "I'm not going through this again. I'm getting coffee."
Felix then got up and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
The doctor cleared his throat, "So, um, are you two together?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Bloody hell no. That's my daughter." Thomas said loudly.
"That you met 15 minutes ago. I was looking for her for 17 years and found her two days ago. You really think you're father of the year? You don't deserve her."
I said crossing my arms.
Thomas leaned back in his chairs, "Dont deserve her, I made here ?!
You ain't no cup of tea. Bloody hell, my daughter was stolen from Mary and I, by a bloody pirate and we couldn't do anything about it. So when you have a child and see their face for the second time 17 years in the future, it's like a lifetime. Wouldn't you do anything to protect all that's left of your family?"
He was right. I'm being over protective of a girl I met two days ago. He is her father. Even I have to respect that. And Thomas, my brother, I couldn't protect him the same way Thomas, her father, couldn't protect his daughter.
We had one thing in common.
Ravenna was all we had left.
Yet, What did he mean he couldn't do anything about it?
"Yes." I said quietly.
The doctor then handed the clipboard to Thomas, telling him to sign specific places on the clipboard.
He then walked over to me and patted my shoulder, "Is she your girlfriend?"
My eyes bulged open. I looked at the doctor then back at Thomas who was now glaring at me,
"She uh," I cleared my throat, "She's someone I care about deeply. "
"Well," He said looking at Ravenna sleeping soundly, "You look a bit young to be having a girlfriend. And for you to be her father."
I stood up, laughing , then patted his shoulder, "Son. I'm a 117 years old. I went through wars, heartbreaks, diseases. I saved this world once. But a girlfriend, I never had that."
Thomas stood up as well handing the doctor the clipboard, "I'm 219, by the way. I made a world with my wife once, and now I found it, lying half dead in a hospital room. I waited quite a long time to see this girl. I know I-we may look really young but were experienced."
The doctor looked at us shocked. While we smiled at him proudly.
"Now regarding Ravenna," The doctor began making both of our smiles vanish,
"She's in a coma. Now, before you worry, She can hear you, her mind is just not there right now. It can't wake up, just yet-"
"Well, " Thomas said stroking Ravenna's dark hair, "How do we wake her up?"
"True loves kiss," Henry said walking through the hospital room door with Regina and Emma, "Its the only way."
"Well who does she love?" Emma asked. They all looked around the room then all stopped at me.
My eyebrows relaxed.
I secretly hoping it was me.
But I couldn't admit that it was what I was thinking.
I put my hands up, "Whoa, whoa. She doesn't love me."
"It's worth a shot." The doctor said, leaving the room.
I looked at Ravenna breathing put heavily.
Was I really nervous?
"Where do I kiss her?" I asked still looking at her.
"The mouth?" Henry questioned.
"No!" Thomas exclaimed.
I clenched my jaw closing my eyes.
I leaned down towards her.
I didn't have the guts to kiss her mouth, not like this.
Not this way.
"I'm gonna make the pain go away Ravenna. Hang tight."
I then closed my eyes as I leaned down and kiss her forehead.
A big rush of energy abrupted through my lips.
Everyone was brought back by it.
Ravenna gasped for air, panicking. Her eyes opened.
"No, no! Calm down." I said to her as our eyes locked. Her heart monitor started beeping rapidly.
Her heart monitor went back to normal as she calmed down, still breathing in and out of her mouth. Her lips regained color, blood was flowing through her again.
We sat the bed up so she could look at all of us.
She groaned in agony, looking at me, "Peter what happened?" She said with her voice cracking.
"You were shot,"
I said putting her hair behind her ears so I could look at her eyes. Really look at her,
"You were out for hours. They said you were in a coma, but you woke up."
"How?" Ravenna looked confused.
My mouth opened.
I kissed you and you woke up,
"I don't know you just did."
Silence abrupted in the room, until Emma broke it,
"Let's leave them alone." She said making Regina and Henry and herself leave.
Leaving Thomas, Ravenna, and I alone.
"Was that Henry? Where are we? What's going on?,"
She looked at Thomas then me, "Oh my-"
"Shh, shh," I said soothing her, "We're in Storybrooke. Storybrooke is out of its mojo. When we took the magic bean I didn't know where it would take us, it took us here for some reason."
She stayed silent, taking everything in.
She then looked at Thomas.
"What's your name?" Thomas asked quietly.
"Ravenna." She answered quietly.
Thomas and I shared a look, but he continued, "Whats your parents names?"
Ravenna looked at me, almost asking me if she could say it.
The same way Mary did.
And I nodded.
"Mary and Thomas." She then furrowed her eyebrows.
"What, what's wrong?" Thomas asked putting his hand on top of her.
She opened her mouth not sure what to say, "I remember Peter. I remember Neverland. I remember names. But that's it. It's like I was just born two days ago. I know nothing before that."
"My name is Thomas," Thomas said smiling at her, "I'm your father."
She smiled back at him.
She had Mary's soul in her. Always open to everyone, "I know, you were in my dream."
