ㅤㅤ"Mom, Dad, this is Jayeon." He grinned. "She's my friend."
I cleared my throat silently. "Hello Mom and Dad in law—ah shit, I mean Mr. Park and Mrs. Lee, it's nice to finally meet you."
"What do you say about her?"
"Aww, she looks so angellic and beautiful, to be honest when you two are together the visuals just scream and I can't help but just stay silent and praise y'all." That was what I expected to hear, but Jimin clarified something.
"They're no longer here," He whispered.
We are now in the graveyard where his parents were laid to rest. The two of us was standing infront of them. I couldn't help but see how many souls are wondering around the place. Varied ages, race, society class, and nationality are here.
In the end, no matter how different we are, we all end up on the same position.
"My brother and I inherited this ability from my mother's side." He told.
"Why did they die?" I asked. Looking at the names written on the tombstones.
"The reason why they died was because a ghost kept on disturbing my mom."
I glanced at him.
"At first my mom can handle her since she just wanted help about her love ones. But as weeks goes by, I saw how she got sick because of souls. We tried to support her as much as we can but she just can't." He added. "The soul then altered her mind. She said she wanted to borrow her body for a while. My mom was frightened by the thought, so my dad did everything to find a solution. He said there's a great paranormal expert in Gunpo..."
"...They took a plane there, leaving my Hyung and I on my grandma's house. We didn't know that time, the soul already corrupted her body. That's why for some reason, my mom acted strange and all excited. When they reached the place, she crossed the road so fast without caring about the cars, dad tried to stop her but it's too late because it already crashed into them."
I wanted to cry. I can vividly imagine those things, thinking how much anguish his family went through because of souls.
"That's when I started despising all of you." He added. "And that's why alive people finds me too odd for their liking."
I kept silent and just hear out his thoughts. I've finally discovered the start of his resentment, no wonder why he was like that to me before.
"But now, they can call me weird whenever." He grinned at me. "As long as you are here... with me. You made a huge impact on my life, Yeon-ah, and I am thankful for it."
The two of us stared at one another, he never fails to make me smile. This days he obviously wanted to show how much he appreciates me. "Do you know what being a soul feels like?" I opened up.
"No warm."
"No cold."
"No body temperature."
"No heartbeat."
"...But I'm happy though, I thought I'll be alone while I wait for my service. I never thought I'll meet the best ones when I died. You are honestly one of the most beautiful thing that happened to me—shit, why are we lowkey flirting."
"I don't know," Jimin chuckled. "Where is your tomb though?"
"It's on the other graveyard."
"Can we go there?"
"Let's go!" I snapped my fingers and we were both teleported on the area. "Damn. I just realized this is my first time coming here since my funeral."
"Why are there lots of souls here?" Jimin whispered. "We're almost jam packed."
"Because it's already getting dark, the other fellas thinks it's an alarm or something." I shrugged. "Alright, let's go to the big deal."
The two of us went to the center of the place, Jimin was checking the names on the tombs but I was preoccupied on telling the other ghosts to give us alone time for a minute.
"Thank you lovely," I looked down to the child.
"No problem, Unnie!" She smiled at me and vanished.
"Jayeon, what is your favorite flower?" He asked all of the sudden.
I headed closer to him and was surprised when I saw a flower on his hand. "Yah~ what is that?" I hold back my grin.
"A sunflower."
"I know, dumbass, but is that for me?"
"Yeah," He answered before he handed it to me.
I received it softly and pretended to sniff it. "Thank you so much, honey."
"That's not from me though," He furrowed his brow. "I just picked it up."
"Yah!" I exclaimed. "I thought you prepared this for me!"
"I just saw that in your tomb! It looks fresh, someone must have placed it minutes ago," He asserted. "Your love ones must've put it here."
"Yeah, maybe—" I stopped.
My family knows I am allergic to sunflower so they put other flowers on my tomb even though I'm already dead. There's no way they are the one who put it here.
"They weren't from them?" He asked.
"Yeah. I'm positive. This is the first time I've ever received a sunflower." I explained.
Jimin stayed silent for a moment as he thinks about something. His brow creased a bit as he contemplates. "Hyung..."
Jimin and I decided to head back to our neighbourhood. My mind was still preoccupied with the previous happening when he spoke up, breaking the silence, "I'm going to take you home."
"Huh? I should be the one to say that," I snickered.
"Just come," He playfully rolled his eyes.
"If you say so," I took the lead as we walked till we arrived at our destination. We were literally the only home with vegetation so it was visible from a mile. Our next door neighbors for real dislike gardening.
Jimin waved at me when I was already standing in front of our gate. "Thanks for taking me home baby," I shouted.
"Bye Yeon-ah, have a sweet night!" He smiled.
"Uhm."
Huh?
"Who are you?"
The voice made me whip my head so fast. I was taken a back when I saw my younger brother looking back at him. "Oh shit."
"Who are you?" Jimin asked as well.
Taehyung frowned. "I'm the house owner's son."
"Jayeon's brother?"
"You know my noona?" His frown disappeared and his eyes lit up. "What relationship did you have?"
"I'm her friend."
"Noona doesn't have any friends except for the random people she sometimes talk on the net," He answered. "Don't lie."
Damn, bro.
Why you gotta expose me like that.
And internet friends are like one of the best though! We've bonded through sin!
"But I'm telling the truth, I'm really friends with her." He explained.
"Wait, were you one of them?" Taehyung asked.
"No, we met in University." He explained.
"I'm happy to know that Noona has a friend," He smiled. "Except for her ex boyfriend."
"Hoseok?"
"You know him too? Wow. You really are her friend!"
"Actually, the three of us are friends."
"That's amazing!" Taehyung exclaimed. "What's your name, hyung?"
"Park Jimin."
"Jimin hyung, I hope you were a good friend to each other. I hope you did a lot of good memories because my noona deserves it really much." He smiled. "Goodbye! It was nice meeting you!" Then he finally did what he planned to do in the first place, he placed the trash on the bin.
"Wait, what's your name?" Jimin asked.
"I'm sorry hyung but I don't tell my name to strangers."
"But I'm not a stranger, I'm your Noona's friend."
"Exactly. If you were friends you should have know who I am." Taehyung shrugged. "I'm sorry but I have a gut feeling that you are lying, I mean she didn't even introduced you to us, I don't trust you," And then he went inside.
"What did you teach him?" Jimin asked me with a laugh.
"I taught him to always analyze a person before he leak an information about him," I shrugged. "Gotta teach 'em young."
"He looks like a good kid."
I smiled. "That's because he is."

"Sometimes I wonder what happened to people who asked me for directions," I was in a deep thought.
"Stop making my brain hurt." Jimin stated on my side, fiddling with his fingers as he began on humming a song.
"Oh. I know that song!" I exclaimed and prepared myself for my line. "Put your hands up to the sky, yeah! If you're feelin' the vibe, c'mon! If you're ready to fly! Let's do it!"
Jimin rapped the next lyrics. He was dropping bars—and spit as well. The both of us harmonized on the chorus part.
Take me to the sky
Hwolhwol naragal su issdamyeon
Yeongyeong daranal su issdamyeon
If my wings could fly
Jeomjeom mugeowojineun gonggireul tdulhgo nara
Nara na nara nan naraga
Higher than higher than
Higher than the sky
Nara na nara nan naraga
Bulkge muldeun nalgaereul himkkeos
Spread spread spread my wings
Lala lalalala, lala lalalala
Spread spread spread my wings
Lala lalalala, lala lalalala
Wings are made to fly fly fly
Fly fly fly
If my wings could fly!
"Not gonna lie, you sound like a seal." He pointed out.
"It's talent. No one can imitate seal like I can." I grinned.
The both of us laughed, forgetting that we're in the local park and a lot of people were strolling. They all looked at him with freaked out expression.
"Bo?" Jimin asked them.
"Who are you talking to, mate?" Someone scrunched up his face.
I threw them a look and my eyes went huge when I realized who that person was. I gasped. "BANG CHAN!"
"Bang Chan?"
"BEST LEADER!"
"You know me?" Chan asked Jimin.
"I used to have a crush on you back in senior high! Wow you grew up so well!" I looked up to him. "You're still pretty as always!"
"Someone I know used to have a crush on you back then, she said you're pretty," Jimin talked on my side. I squinted my eyes.
"Can I ask what's her name so I can meet her personally?" He said with a friendly smile.
"I'm here! I'm here! Take me with you!" I literally fangirled.
He was very popular in our school back then, especially since he had a band with other foreigners. He was with Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Michael before. They were from Australia and they're all so talented and gorgeous.
"I missed listening to your voice, sir!" I yelled in front of him.
"Who's the lovely person? I'd love to meet her."
"Tell him I'm his long lost girlfriend," I grinned.
"She's MY BESTFRIEND and she doesn't LIKE YOU anymore," Jimin gritted his teeth, but ending it with a forced smile.
"Oh." Chan snickered. "I get it, mate."
"Thanks... mate," He cringed. "It's so weird saying that term."
"What is it, mate?"
Jimin grimaced. He then turned around and left the hell out of us. I was about to follow him when I saw another figure from the distance.
"OI FELIX!" Chan called. "COME HERE BRO!"
The boy ran towards us with a bowl of ramen. "HERE'S YOUR RAMEN."
"WHADDYA MAKE BRO!?"
Felix ran away, "fOR ME CUZ!"
"OI!" Chan laughed.
I made a face.
"Was he your first love?" Jimin asked when I catch up. We are now walking side by side.
"No, he's not." I shook my head. "I found my first love when I was in Junior High School, he was my senior and I was just new to the campus but we still were able to form a relationship. We became close back then. He's a big deal now by the way!"
"Who is he?"
"You probably don't know him if you don't watch dramas."
"Spill it."
"Nope."
"Come on."
"Noooooooooope."
"Please?" He pouted.
"Fine. He's Park Seojoon."
I saw Jimin yeeted his existence out of the world. "The actor? You were bestfriends with him?"
"Yeah. He even attended my funeral." I shrugged off.
It's true. The man attended with a black suit, looking sharp and handsome. And I saw how everyone was shocked when they saw him. They couldn't believe I was bestfriends with someone that successful.
"Rest in peace, angel." Seojoon spoke, tears were falling from his eyes.
Ah shit. My heart is—
I was about to weep but I heard how some of my family members that are crying paused for a second to take some photos. "This mfs rude asf." I shook my head.
To get back for what they did, I scared them that night. I developed the photos they took and pasted it on their bedroom walls. I saw how my cousin, Chenle, lose his mind when he saw it.
And anyway, my mom also asked for a selca with him, "Son. Can we take a picture with our index finger pointing in the sky?"
"Uh. Okay, Ma'am." He smiled.
And they posed.
Bruh. I felt the second hand embarrassment while I was chilling on the place. I also took notice on how heavy my mom's eyeliner was. I swear she's not done with the emo phase yet.
"DAEBAK!" Jimin gawked at me as I tell him about some memories that we had.
Turns out he was a huge fan.
