Jack POV
"Hey snowflake." I cringed at the nickname but did my best to hide it.
"(L/N)! Hey long time no see!" I grinned mockingly at the girl before me. She rolled her eyes and replied,
"We live next door to each other, we ride the same bus." My eye twitched Deep breaths Jack it's not like this conversation is going to last long, just say what you came to say and it will all be over. I took a deep breath and pushed aside my frustration.
"So, my parents were wondering if you and your parents wanted to come over for dinner this Sunday? You can say no." Please say no! I cringed internally with each word and she cringed overtly, in fact I'm pretty sure she turned a couple shades paler at the thought.
"Um... Thanks for the invite but... I'm probably gonna say no... Like never." I nodded briskly and said,
"Yeah, ok I'll let my parents know you said that. See you in gym." After that I walked away sighing in relief. Thank goodness, if she'd said yes I think I'd lose it.
