(Y/N) POV
I patted my friend's back as she sobbed uncontrollably.
"Look at it like this, if Jack hadn't flat out rejected you like this you would have never found out that Tom liked you, and if that never happened you wouldn't have a date to prom." I said trying to console her.
"I-gasp- know... B-but I'm still-sob- really hurt!" She raised her head out of her hands and looked up at me.
"H-how is it nothing like this never happens to y-you?" She asked me as she whipped away some of her tears. I chuckled sardonicaly and told her,
"When you've lived next door to someone long enough you build an immunity to jerks." She sighed and looked down.
"You're lucky then, you've never faced rejection before." I chuckled slightly
"If you're making jabs at my love life already you'll be fine in no time at all." She laughed a little and we fixed her make-up before walking out of the bathroom. I gave her one last hug before the two of us went our separate ways. I turned to go to engineering, and ran smack into the devil himself.
