21. She's Come Undone

"Damaged?" Kol asked confused, "Damien's face is damaged?".

Aria nodded, "It was part of Qetsiyah's punishment, she ruined both Silas and Damien's faces, so that no one would love them, so no one else has the same fate as Adriana, both Silas and Damien's face is so damaged that no one can recognise them".

"Ria, are you sure you want to do this?" Damon asked.

Aria nodded, "The spell I'm working on to bring Jeremy back, it won't work without Jeremy's body or ghost form, if I drop the veil before Bonnie, Jeremy will come back for a little while, I can use that time to bring him back permanently, and Damien and Adriana can reunite, Damon this will mean that the stupid curse on our bloodlines, of being soulmates but not being able to spend eternity together, that curse will disappear".

"You're hoping" Damon corrected, "You're hoping reuniting Damien and Adriana will remove the curse, you don't know for sure it will".

"No, I don't know for sure Damon, but I can't just still here and wait for something or someone to separate us, I don't have it in me to go through that" Aria said, "I need do something about it, and helping Damien is the only way I can think of, plus now that I've seen Damien's face, now neither him or Silas will be able to take other people's face in front of me, I will see right through them".

"Wait" Kol said, "What does you seeing Damien's real face have to do with Silas?".

"I don't know how it works but according to Damien, seeing his real face has enabled me to see Silas's real face as well" Aria replied, "Plus, Damien is going to help us take Silas down".

"And you trust him?" Damon asked.

Aria nodded, "I trust him" she replied, "And I know you don't, but I need you to trust me, I know what I'm doing Damon".

Damon sighed, "I trust you Ria, I've always had".

"Let's hope Damien doesn't break you trust" Kol said, "Because right now, we kind of have a shortage of people we can trust, with Nik and Elijah in New Orleans".

"Right" Aria said, "Why are they in New Orleans again?".

"One of Nik's minion informed him about Marcel Gerard, Nik's adoptive son, being alive and having taken control of New Orleans" Kol replied, "The city that Nik and Elijah built, and you know your best friend, he couldn't have someone else be king of a city he built, so him and Elijah have gone to New Orleans to take the city back, but don't worry, they both have promised to keep visiting".

Aria nodded, "They better do".

"Now that's clear, tell me Ria, what's the first thing on the list of bringing down the veil?" Damon asked.

"We need the tombstone that Katherine stole" Aria revealed.

Caroline was walking in the woods, trying to distract herself, from calling Klaus and begging him to return.

Ever since Klaus has left, Caroline couldn't stop thinking about him, before leaving Klaus had promised Caroline that he will come back to her, but that still didn't stop Caroline from missing him, from wanting to be near him, from wishing that Klaus didn't have to leave, she got why he had to leave, she just wished she could be with him, but they both knew Caroline couldn't leave Aria alone.

"Caroline".

A shocked Caroline turned around, hearing the voice of the man who she couldn't stop thinking about, "Klaus?".

"Hello, Caroline" Klaus greeted.

Caroline smiled seeing Klaus, without wasting a second, Caroline ran over to the hybrid and jumped into his arms, "You're here" she breathed out, "You're actually here, I thought I would have to wait longer then this to see you again".

"I missed you" Klaus admitted, "I had to see you".

"I thought you will forget about me as soon as you went to New Orleans" Caroline admitted, finally breaking the hug, "I thought you will move on from me".

"I never had any intention of moving on" Klaus said, "The truth is, I've tried to stop thinking about you, and I can't".

"I can't stop thinking about you either" Caroline admitted.

"Then come to New Orleans" Klaus said, "What are you so afraid of?".

"I'm not afraid of anything Klaus, but I can't leave Aria here, you know that" Caroline replied, slightly confused.

"Forget Aria, for once think about yourself and not her" Klaus said.

Caroline frowned, hearing Klaus, "Aria? You called her Aria, you don't call her Aria, you never have".

Klaus glared at Caroline and suddenly she was slammed to the tree by Klaus, "Where is she Caroline? Where is Aria?".

"Silas" Caroline realised.

"Where is she?!" Silas yelled, "She's not with Damon or Kol, I checked, and she's not with you or Rebekah, which makes me think she's with my brother, so tell me Caroline, where is she!? Tell her I'm looking for her, tell her to come out of the shadows, tell her that this--", Caroline yelled when Silas staked her in the chest with a wooden stake, luckily it was right above her heart, "--is only the beginning".

Caroline woke up in the woods, looking down at her chest, she was shocked realising there was no stake, Silas had made her imagine that, Caroline quickly grabbed her phone and realised she had missed Aria and Rebekah's calls, she slowly stood up and looked around scared, wondering if Silas was still near her, seeing no sign of Silas, Caroline quickly took off running.

"Caroline!" Rebekah yelled, startling a already scared Caroline, "Where have you been, me and Aria have been trying to call you for so long".

"Rebekah, we have to get out of here" Caroline said, grabbing Rebekah's hand.

"No, Caroline, wait, it's okay" Rebekah said.

"No, it's not okay" Caroline snapped, "Silas is out there, he made me think he was Klaus and--".

"Wait what?" Rebekah asked shocked, "What does Silas want from you?".

"He's trying to get to Aria" Caroline replied, "Do you know where Aria is?".

"If I knew where she was, I wouldn't bother with you" Rebekah replied, holding Caroline by her neck, "Now, get me Aria or I'll kill someone, maybe I'll start with yours and her mother".

Caroline pushed Silas off of her and took off running, wanting to get to her mother before it was too late, but before Caroline could run far, Silas appeared infront of her, once again in Klaus's form.

"No one can help you, find Bonnie or I'll kill the person you love the most" Silas threatened, pushing Caroline on the ground.

Caroline didn't waste a second in quickly standing up and running to her car, while at the same time calling her mom.

"I know, I promised I wouldn't work too late--".

"Mom, I need you to get home and lock all the doors" Caroline ordered, "Right now, don't let anyone in, not even me or Aria, we both have a key, we can let ourselves in, do you understand?".

"What's going on?" Liz asked confused, as Caroline started her car.

"Just do it, okay?" Caroline said, "I'm on my way, hopefully so is Aria".

"Aria, why aren't you answering?" Caroline said into the phone, while opening her front door, "Silas isn't gonna just give up, you and Damien are the only ones who can stop him, call me".

"Caroline, what's going on?" Liz asked, walking up to her daughter.

"Mom, don't come any closer, stop" Caroline said, stopping her mom from walking near her.

"What's wrong?" Liz asked confused.

"I don't know how to tell if it's really you" Caroline replied, "What if this is another trick? He can get in my head, he would have known that I called you".

"Okay, Caroline, it's me, it's your mother" Liz assured, "I don't know what's happening but everything's gonna be okay, all right? You just need to talk to me".

Caroline took her phone out of her pocket and dialed her mother.

"Hi, how's it going?" Liz asked, answering her phone right in front of Caroline.

"Oh, good" Caroline said, hugging her mother in relief.

Caroline sat with her mother in the living room, waiting for Aria to call her back.

"Aria hasn't called back yet" Caroline informed, "I just don't understand why she hasn't called, hope she's okay".

Suddenly, both the mother daughter duo looked towards the front door, when they saw someone open the door.

"Hey, I'm home!" Aria called out.

"Finally" Caroline said, standing up and walking over to Aria.

"Is everything okay?" Aria asked her sister, "I called you but you didn't answer me".

"Yeah, then I called you back and you didn't answer me" Caroline retorted.

"I was with Damien, we were trying to get the tombstone from Bonnie" Aria revealed.

"Bonnie?" Caroline asked confused, "I thought the tombstone was with Katherine".

"It was" Aria replied, "But she gave it to Bonnie, because she promised her that she will turn her immortal like Silas and Damien".

"And how do you know all this?" Caroline asked.

"Damien managed to get into Katherine's head" Aria replied, "Turns out, having a psychic by your side is actually useful".

Caroline smiled and hugged Aria, "I'm just happy you're okay, I've been calling you for hours".

"I know, I got your message but my phone died and I couldn't call you back" Aria said, bringing her phone out of pocket and showing Caroline.

"Aria, Silas keeps getting in my head, attacking me" Caroline revealed, "He says he wants to know where you are, he threatened Mom, oh my god, Aria you shouldn't be here, now Silas will know where you are".

"He threatened Mom?" Aria asked shocked.

"Aria?" Liz called out, walking over to Caroline and Aria.

Aria turned to Liz, "Mom I'm so--", Aria looked at Liz's face and froze, "Oh my god".

"What?" Caroline asked confused.

"That's not Mom, Caroline" Aria replied, standing infront of Caroline, "It's Silas".

"Oh my god" Caroline said, finally seeing Silas's real face.

"Did you really think you will work with my brother and I wouldn't find out, Aria?" Silas asked.

"You want me, I'm here" Aria replied, "Just tell me where's my mom?".

"She's right where you left her" Silas told Caroline.

"Go" Aria told Caroline, "I've got this".

Caroline nodded and ran into the living room to see her mother laying on the floor, unconscious.

"You know, I really thought you and I could form a powerful team" Silas said.

"I don't team up with people I don't trust" Aria snapped.

"Hello, Silas" Damien greeted, coming behind Aria.

"Damien" Silas said, "I see you've gotten into Aria's head, just like you got into Adriana's".

"I'm not you Silas, I don't manipulate people into doing my dirty work" Damien said.

"No, you just play the victim, you make me the villain, when in reality it's you" Silas snapped.

"I am not going to let you reunite with Adriana" Damien said.

"You won't be able to stop me" Silas said.

"But I can" Aria interjected, "Once I do the spell, I can stop you from reuniting with Adriana".

"You're the only one who can do this spell Aria, so I can't hurt you" Silas said, "But you still have some people that you love, I can hurt them, if you decide to stand in my way of getting to Adriana".

Aria glared at Silas, "Touch anyone I love, and trust me when I say this, I will make it my personal mission to make sure you and Adriana never reunite, and don't take my threat lightly Silas, last time someone did that, I left them trapped in a island with a broken leg".

"Doesn't she remind you so much of Adriana?" Silas asked Damien, "They both have the same fire in them, and both of them have awful taste in men".

"Leave" Damien told Silas, "Walk away Silas and everything will be fine".

"I will walk away, but just know this Damien, this time I will be Adriana's first choice, not you" Silas said.

"Leave" Damien repeated, ignoring his brother's words.

Silas walked out of the Forbes household, leaving Damien and Aria alone.

"Thank you for coming" Aria said to Damien.

"I know my brother, and I know the extents he will go to reunite with Adriana" Damien said, "You should go be with your mother".

"But the tombstone" Aria said.

"Leave that to me" Damien said, "I will get it from Bonnie".

"How?" Aria asked curiously.

"Just cause I didn't manipulate you Aria, doesn't mean I can't manipulate other people" Damien replied, "After all, me and Silas are brothers".

"Should I be worried?" Aria asked, slightly worried.

"For Bonnie? Probably" Damien said, walking towards the door.

Aria watched Damien leave the Forbes house, after he left, Aria ran into the living room.

"Aria" Caroline cried, "She won't wake up, mom won't wake up, she won't drink my blood".

Aria ran to grab the first aid box, opening it she took out an injection, taking some of her blood, Aria ran back to her unconscious mother and injected her blood into her chest.

"Come on, mom" Aria whispered, tears slipping from her eyes, "Please wake up, don't leave your daughters, please don't leave us".

"Please" Caroline pleaded.

"Mom?" Aria cried.

"Open your eyes" Caroline cried, "Come on, wake up, you have to wake up, you have to see me and Aria graduate".

"Wake up mom!" Aria yelled, "Please just open your eyes".

"I swear we'll get you out of this town" Caroline promised, "And find you a nice man and--Mom!" she sobbed.

Aria held one of Liz's hand, while Caroline held Liz's other hand, "You said you will take care of me" Aria cried, "You have to wake up mom, you have to take care for your daughters, we can't survive without you".

"Please mom" Caroline pleaded.

Suddenly, Liz opened her eyes with a gasp and started coughing, as she slowly sat up, looking at her surroundings in slight confusion.

"Mom!" Caroline said, both her and Aria breathing a sigh of relief seeing their mother wake up.

"You're awake" Aria whispered, as both her and Caroline hugged her and sobbed, they were so close to losing their mom and the thought scared both the sisters immensely.

Presenting 4x21 of The Vampire Diaries . . .

How was the chapter? I know it was short and no Daria, but it was kind of hard fitting Aria into this episode, I'm sorry >.<

Thoughts on Klaus and Elijah in New Orleans? I just want to clarify, Hayley isn't pregnant, Hope will be born eventually but she will be Klaroline's child, I had to sent them to New Orleans to make things easy for me otherwise I had no idea where to fit them, but don't worry we will see them, they will make appearances here and there, also Rebekah and Kol are staying with the gang in Mystic Falls 😊
