12. A View To A Kill

Bonnie and Elena stood around the table in the Gilbert kitchen, Jeremy's sketchbook in the middle of the table.

Bonnie looked at Elena in worry, "Are you sure about this Elena?".

"I'm sure Bonnie" Elena replied, "I want Jeremy to kill Kol".

"But his an Original" Bonnie reminded, "And he has Aria by his side, truth is, even with expression, I'm not as strong as her".

"Think about it, Kol's sire line must stretch to the moon by now, if Jeremy kills Kol, every vampire that he's ever turned, not to mention everyone that they've turned, will die, which means the hunter's mark will be complete and we'll have our key to finding the cure" Elena said, "And Aria won't be able to do anything to us, by the time she finds out, we will be gone, looking for the cure".

"But we're going to have to come home eventually" Bonnie reminded.

"I can't think about that right now" Elena said, "All I can think about right now, is Jeremy killing Kol and completing his mark".

Bonnie sighed, "Okay then".

Bonnie looked down at Jeremy's sketchbook, and started chanting.

Back at Alaric's apartment, Jeremy who was currently sleeping in his bed, suddenly started trashing, "Jeremy" he heard, "Jeremy, come to me".

"No" Jeremy mumbled, trying to fight whatever was happening to him.

"Jeremy, follow my voice, come to me".

"Stop" Jeremy whispered.

"Come on Jeremy, it's time to fulfil your destiny".

Jeremy tried to fight a bit more, but it was proving harder as Bonnie's voice so loud in his head, suddenly Jeremy gasped and sat up in shock, a hazy look on his face, Bonnie Bennett had been successful with the spell, she was now officially in control of Jeremy.

Kol groaned when his phone started ringing, disturbing his precious sleep.

"What?!" Kol snapped, answering the phone.

"Kol, it's me" Jeremy said.

"This better be important baby Gilbert" Kol said, "You disturbed my sleep".

"I need your help" Jeremy said.

"With what?" Kol asked, "Asking April out?".

"No" Jeremy replied, "I don't need your help asking April out, I need you to meet me at my old house".

"The Gilbert house?" Kol asked confused, "Why?".

"I forgot some of my things there, and I don't want to go there alone" Jeremy replied, "I don't have it in me to deal with Elena, please come with".

Kol sighed, "Why not ask Ri?" he asked, "She would gladly come with you"

"Because I don't want her near Elena" Jeremy replied, "Come on please Kol, I swear I'll let you sleep in tomorrow".

"I'm smashing my phone tomorrow, you won't be able to reach me" Kol complained, finally getting out of bed.

"So you're coming?" Jeremy asked.

"I am" Kol replied, "But you owe me".

"I'll make it up to you, I promise" Jeremy said, "Thanks for doing this".

"Yeah, yeah" Kol mumbled, "See you there".

After Kol hanged up, Jeremy turned to the three people sitting infront of him, "It worked" he said, in a monotone voice, "Kol's coming".

"Okay" Stefan said, "Everything ready?".

Elena nodded, "We are ready".

Bonnie handed Jeremy the white oak stake, which Stefan had somehow managed to steal from the Mikaelsons, "Use this to kill Kol" she ordered, Jeremy nodded robotically.

Kol walked up the Gilbert porch and saw Jeremy waiting for him.

"Alright" Kol said, "Let's get this over and done with".

Jeremy nodded, he knocked on the front door, and after a moment Elena opened the door.

"What are you two doing here?" Elena asked, pretending to be oblivious.

"I need to get some of my things" Jeremy replied, walking past Elena and up the stairs.

Kol ignored Elena, and entered the house, "I'm waiting in the kitchen!" he yelled at Jeremy.

"Okay!" Jeremy yelled back.

"How did you get in?" Elena asked, following Kol into the kitchen.

Kol rolled his eyes at Elena's stupidity, he walked into the kitchen, and grabbed himself an banana, "Jeremy invited me when he returned from Denver".

"Do you want some alcohol?" Elena asked suddenly, making Kol look at her in suspicion.

"You're offering me a drink?" Kol asked, not sure if he heard the doppelganger correctly.

"Yeah, why is that so hard to believe?" Elena asked.

"Because you hate me, I hate you" Kol replied.

Elena sighed, "Look, you're in my house, and if you wanted to you could very easily kill me".

"That I could" Kol said, taking a bite of his banana.

"So I'm offering you a drink, in hopes that you won't kill me" Elena said.

Kol narrowed his eyes at the girl infront of her, but nonetheless nodded, "It better be good alcohol".

"I'll bring it, and you can decide for yourself" Elena said, walking out the kitchen.

After Elena left, Kol pulled out his phone and texted Aria and Damon.

At the Gilbert house with Jeremy, you both need to get here now! Doppelbitch is up to something.

Damon entered Ric's apartment, with three cups of hot chocolate in his hand, he knew Aria was still a bit mad at him and he was hoping this hot chocolate would help her forgive him, he also knew if he bought hot chocolate for him and Aria, and not for Jeremy, both Aria and Jeremy would kill him.

Before going into Aria's room, Damon knocked on Jeremy's door, "Jeremy, you awake?" he asked, but received no answer in return.

Damon slowly opened the bedroom door, he frowned seeing no sign of Jeremy anywhere, thinking he had left to go meet April or Kol, Damon put Jeremy's hot chocolate on the kitchen counter and made his way to Aria's room.

Entering Aria's room, Damon frowned seeing Aria trashing in her sleep, it was like she was having a nightmare.

"Stop" she mumbled, "Jeremy, please stop".

Damon quickly put the hot chocolates on the side table, and ran over to Aria, "Ria, wake up".

"Stop, please stop!" Aria mumbled, tears streaming down her face, "Don't kill him, please don't kill Kol".

"Ria, wake up" Damon said, patting Aria's cheeks, "Your dreaming Ria, it's not real, you need to wake up".

"No, no, stop" Aria cried.

"Come on Ria!" Damon yelled, really worried for his love.

Suddenly, Aria opened her eyes and let out a high banshee scream, shattering all the glass around her.

"Ria!" Damon yelled, trying to calm the witch down.

"Kol" Aria whispered, breathing heavily.

"Nothing happened to Kol, his fine" Damon said, trying to calm Aria down.

"No" Aria whispered, "I saw it Damon, I saw Jeremy kill Kol".

"Hey, look at me, look at me Ria" Damon said, cupping Aria's face in his hands, "It was a bad dream, it wasn't real, Jeremy didn't kill Kol, he would never do that, Kol's alive, and right now, his probably in his bed, snoring away".

"Damon, you don't get it, the dream, it didn't feel like a dream" Aria cried, she was so scared she either had lost someone else she cared about or was about to, "Jeremy and Kol were at Elena's house, and Jeremy had this crazy look on his face, and after Elena sprayed Kol with vervain water, Jeremy staked him with the white oak stake".

"Okay, let's call Kol" Damon suggested, "Maybe once you listen to his voice and realise his okay, you will feel better".

Aria nodded, "Yeah, okay, call him please".

Damon took out his phone from his pocket, and immediately, a frown came on his face.

"What?" Aria asked, anxiously, "What happened? Why did your facial expression change so much?".

"Kol texted me" Damon replied, opening Kol's text.

"What did he say?" Aria asked.

"At the Gilbert house with Jeremy, you both need to get here now! Doppelbitch is up to something" Damon read out.

Aria looked at Damon wide eyed, "Damon, somethings really wrong, I can feel it" she said, "We need to get to Kol and Jeremy now".

Damon nodded, also realising that something is definitely not right, "Let's go".

Aria quickly jumped out of her bed, and both her and Damon rushed out the door, hoping to get to the Gilbert household before anything went wrong.

Elena returned to the kitchen, with a bottle of alcohol in her hand, she looked around, but found no sign of Kol anywhere.

Suddenly, Kol speeded behind her and staked her in the back, causing her to fall the the ground.

"You're up to something" Kol said, twisting the stake in Elena's back, making her scream in pain, "And you're going to tell me what, now!".

"Jeremy, now!" Elena yelled, confusing Kol.

Before Kol could ask her any questions, Jeremy came behind Kol, his crossbow in hand, he shot at Kol, his arrow, digging into Kol's thigh.

"Aah!" Kol yelled, letting go of Elena and looking at Jeremy in shock, "What the hell Jeremy!".

"I need to kill you" Jeremy replied in a robotic tone, "I have to kill you".

"What?" Kol asked confused, not knowing what was happening to Jeremy.

Before Jeremy could reply, Elena took the stake out of her back and speeded away with Jeremy.

Kol removed the arrow from his leg, and started looking for Elena and Jeremy, he didn't care that his brother needed Elena for his hybrids, Kol had enough of Elena, he knew she did something to Jeremy, otherwise there was no reason for Jeremy to attack him, Kol decided he was going to end this once and for all, it was time Elena Gilbert died, and this time for good.

Elena ran into her room, she tried to push her dresser to block the door, but Kol came and tried to open the door, Elena pushed as hard as she could, but failed, as Kol repeatedly slammed his shoulder on to the door, causing it to open, and Elena to fall to the ground.

Before Kol could attack her, Elena speeded over to the bathroom, she locked the door, she then went towards the bathroom door that leaded into Aria's old room, Elena quickly closed the door behind her, and locked it.

Kol kicked open the door, and then locked at the two doors infront of him, one that led to Jeremy's old room, the other to Aria's old room, Kol smirked, and punched the door that led to Aria's room, where he saw both Jeremy and Elena standing.

Seeing Kol, Jeremy shot a wooden stake at him, which Kol easily caught.

"Jeremy, I don't know what's going on with you, but you need to come back to your senses!" Kol yelled, "I don't want to hurt you".

"Must kill you" Jeremy mumbled, shooting another stake towards Kol, which he dodged.

Elena shot multiple wooden bullets into Kol's chest, causing him to fall backwards.

"Go!" Elena yelled, as her and Jeremy ran out of the room.

But before Elena could leave, Kol grabbed a stake from the ground and threw it right into Elena's thigh, causing her to yell out in pain.

When Elena looked back up, she saw Kol gone.

While Jeremy was running, he was suddenly grabbed by Kol and smashed into the wall.

"Come to your senses Jeremy!" Kol yelled.

Something flickered in Jeremy's eyes, but before Kol could realise that, Elena jumped on his back, Kol let go of Jeremy and turned around and held Elena by her neck, and slammed her on to the wall.

Kol broke a piece of the stairs, and shoved it into Elena's stomach, pinning her to the wall.

"You're going to stay here, while I fix Jeremy, and then we are going to come here and kill you" Kol said, walking away from Elena.

"Come on Jeremy!" Kol yelled, slamming Jeremy on to the kitchen cabinets, "This isn't you!".

"Have to kill" Jeremy said, trying to get out of Kol's grip.

"No, you don't!" Kol yelled, "You don't have to kill me, I'm your friend Jeremy, you don't want to hurt me".

"I--", Jeremy looked at Kol with conflict, he could feel it that he didn't want to kill the Original infront of him, but everything in him was telling him he had to, it wasn't like when he was in his hunter's phase, this was something else, something darker.

"S-stab me" Jeremy fumbled, fighting hard to not hurt Kol.

"What?" Kol asked.

"Stab me Kol, or I will kill you!" Jeremy spat.

Before Kol could take any action, Elena speeded behind Kol and stuck a knife into his back.

Kol fell to the side, and Elena sprayed him with vervain water.

"Jeremy! Now!" Elena yelled, throwing the white oak stake towards Jeremy, which he caught easily.

Jeremy went to stab Kol, when suddenly Aria came between the two vampires, causing Jeremy to stake her instead, luckily it was right below her heart.

"Ri!" Kol yelled, grabbing Aria before she fell to the ground, he quickly pulled the stake out of her chest.

"Aah!" Aria yelled in pain.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" Kol yelled, as Rebekah and Caroline speeded in, Rebekah snapping a shocked Elena's neck, while Caroline restrained Jeremy.

"Rather I die then you" Aria whispered, looking down at her wound, as it slowly healed.

"No" Kol whispered, bring Aria to his chest, "No".

"It's okay Kol" Aria whispered, "I'm okay, you're okay".

"Must kill!" Jeremy yelled, trashing in Caroline's grip.

Seeing Jeremy, Aria quickly stood up, ignoring the pain in her chest, she went over to Jeremy, she grabbed his head and started chanting, causing Jeremy to scream out loud, finally, after what seemed like ages, but was really a few minutes, Aria let go of Jeremy, and he stopped screaming.

"What--what happened?" Jeremy asked, looking at everyone in confusion, "What am I doing here?".

"Long story, let's just say your ex-sister tried to use you to kill me" Kol replied, happy the old Jeremy was back.

"What?" Jeremy asked shocked, "I would never do that though".

"Jer, I don't think you had a choice" Aria replied.

"What do you mean?" Jeremy asked confused.

Before Jeremy could reply, all vampires in the room fell to the floor, clutching their head in pain, just as Bonnie entered the house.

"Bonnie, stop!" Jeremy yelled, holding Aria so she doesn't fall to the floor.

"I can't!" Bonnie yelled, "I must finish what you started".

Aria glared at Bonnie, trying her best to ignore the pain, Aria moved her hand, and broke Bonnie's hand with her magic, causing Bonnie's magic on everyone to stop.

Aria speeded over to Bonnie, and grabbed her wrist tightly in her hand, "You don't deserve this magic Bonnie Bennett!" she yelled, as veins started appearing in Bonnie's arm and transferring into Aria's arm, causing Bonnie to yell out in pain, "You have never used magic for good Bonnie, you've only used it to support the bad people, now, it's time you say goodbye to it".

"Don't" Bonnie cried, falling to her knees, "Please don't Aria".

Aria ignored Bonnie's cry, and eventually Bonnie fell unconscious from the immense amount of pain she was feeling.

"Kol, Jer, place her and Elena in the living room" Aria ordered, "Damon and Nik should be here soon with Stefan".

Jeremy and Kol nodded and both of them dragged Elena and Bonnie's unconscious bodies along the floor and into the living room.

Elena slowly woke up from her snapped neck, she looked around and was confused seeing a unconscious Stefan and Bonnie laying next to her.

"What the hell?" Elena whispered.

"You should have learnt your lesson Elena" Caroline said, appearing infront of Elena, but not entering the living room.

"What's going on?" Elena asked confused.

"You know know better then to try and mess with a tribrid" Rebekah replied, standing next to Elena.

Elena glared at Rebekah, she tried to charge at her, but instead she hit an invisible barrier, "What?" she whispered confused.

"You're trapped" Aria said, standing between Caroline and Rebekah, "You and your little bitches are stuck here till the next full moon".

"While we, go and get the cure" Kol said, entering the room with Jeremy, Damon and Klaus.

"How could you?!" Jeremy yelled.

"Jer I--".

"Don't!" Jeremy yelled, "Don't call me Jer, you have no right to call me that".

"I just wanted to complete your hunter's mark" Elena defended.

"My hunter's mark has been completed two days ago Elena!" Jeremy yelled, shocking Elena.

"What?" Elena asked, "You never told me".

"And why the hell would he tell you?" Damon asked, glaring at the doppelganger.

"Personally, I would have liked to kill you, but I like Ari's method much better" Klaus said, smirking, "Locking you three here, while we get the cure and make sure you never get to it".

"Then you will never have your hybrids" Elena retorted.

"My hybrids aren't as important as my family Elena!" Klaus yelled.

"We are leaving now, tell Bonnie, I hope she enjoyed my present" Aria said, giving Elena a innocent smile, "Next time, you go after someone I care about, remember this".

After the group left the Gilbert household, both Stefan and Bonnie woke up.

"What happened?" Stefan asked, "Is Kol dead?".

"Bonnie, use your magic and get us out of here" Elena said, ignoring Stefan's question.

"I can't" Bonnie whispered, tears streaming down her face.

"What do you mean you can't?" Elena asked confused.

"She took my magic Elena" Bonnie cried.

"What?" Stefan asked.

"Aria took my magic" Bonnie revealed.

Aria sat infront of the fireplace at the Boarding House, staring at the fire, when Jeremy came and sat next to her.

"Hey" he whispered.

"Hey" Aria said, giving Jeremy a small smile, "How you feeling?".

"Whatever you did, it worked" Jeremy replied, "I feel like me again".

"That's good" Aria said.

"What were you thinking Aria?" Jeremy asked suddenly.

"What?" Aria asked confused.

"Why did you come between me and Kol?" Jeremy asked, "I could have killed you tonight".

"But you didn't" Aria reminded, "Jer, when I saw you about to stake Kol, I couldn't think of anything, I just knew I had to save Kol, it was a impulsive decision, but it worked".

"What if it hadn't?" Jeremy asked, "What if I had lost you? Do you think I would have been able to forgive myself?".

"Jeremy don't think about the what ifs, what has happened, has happened, it no longer matters" Aria assured.

"How are you so calm?" Jeremy asked, "You should hate me for nearly killing Kol, for nearly killing you".

"Because it wasn't you" Aria replied, "It was Bonnie's spell that made you murderous, none of what happened was your fault".

"It just scares me so much, I was this close to losing both you and Kol" Jeremy whispered.

Aria sighed, she grabbed Jeremy's hand in hers, "You feel that?" she asked, "That's me, holding your hand, I'm not dead, neither is Kol, we're both okay, you're okay, and that's all it matters".

Jeremy looked at Aria, then pulled her into a hug, "Please never do that again" he whispered.

"You know I can't promise that" Aria whispered into the hug.

"I know" Jeremy whispered, tightening his hold on Aria, both unaware of Kol and Damon standing on the entrance of the living room, looking at them.

"How you feeling?" Damon asked Kol, handing him a drink, while Aria and Jeremy were lost in their own little world.

"Fine" Kol replied, staring at the drink in his hand.

"Then why don't I believe you?" Damon asked.

Kol sighed, "Tonight, when Aria got stabbed trying to save me, the feeling I got, I never want to feel it again, it was so horrible Damon, the thought of Jeremy's aim not being shit, and actually stabbing Aria in the heart, it hurts so much, you're lucky you weren't there".

"I wish I was" Damon whispered, "I wish I was with her, and not getting my idiot brother, I could have stopped her, or maybe I could have taken the stake, either way, I would have stopped her from getting hurt".

Both Kol and Damon looked back at the fireplace, where Aria sat, her head on Jeremy's shoulder, both best friends staring at the fire infront of them.

"Never again" Kol whispered.

"Never again" Damon repeated.

In that moment, Damon Salvatore and Kol Mikaelson promised each other that never again will they let Aria risk her life like this, never again will they fear losing the girl they both love, never again were they going to fail to protect Aria, but what the two vampires weren't aware of, the girl both the vampires lived for, the girl that was their humanity, was soon about to leave them, in a way none of them were prepared for.

Thoughts on Aria saving both Kol and Jeremy, at the same time taking Bonnie's magic away from her? I know a lot of people wanted Bonnie to lose her magic, hope I did it justice.

ALSO, predictions on how and why Kol and Damon are going to lose Aria? I have something major planned and if I do it right, it's going to be epic.
