13. Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Dear diary, I love my life.

Seriously, becoming Aria Connor is the best thing that has ever happened to me, well minus the whole pregnancy, that's been a nightmare. I finally have everything I ever wanted, I'm young, healthy, gorgeous, everyone loves me, but best of all, I'm a tribrid, the amount of power Aria Connor has is insane, she has been wasting these powers, but I intent to take full advantage of being the FIRST tribrid.

So rest in peace, Aria, thanks for giving me your perfect life, and now that I've corrected the single worst decision you ever made, falling in love with Damon Salvatore, I'm gonna win the wildest Mikaelson, yeah, I've decided I want Kol, he was the only Mikaelson brother I didn't have, so why not change that.

"Any news?" Caroline asked, as Kol, Elijah and Klaus entered the living room.

"No" Kol said, running his hand in his hair in frustration, "We can't find Damon anywhere".

"What if someone took him?" Caroline asked concerned, "What if Wes took him again?".

"Wes didn't take Damon, he's with Enzo" Kol replied.

"And how do you know that?" Rebekah asked confused.

Kol didn't say anything, just showed Rebekah his phone.

"Enzo sent you a selfie of him and Damon?" Rebekah asked, trying to hide her amusement.

"He's trying to get under my skin" Kol replied.

"And it's working" Klaus said.

"Shut up" Kol snapped, "Don't pretend like you all are not on edge right now".

Before anyone could say anything, Katherine, still in Aria's body, walked down the stairs.

"Why are you all on edge?" Katherine asked, going and standing next to Kol.

The group of five glanced at each other, all trying really hard not to lash out at her.

"Damon's missing" Caroline informed.

"Do you know where he is?" Rebekah asked.

"Why would I know?" Katherine asked confused.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe cause you're his girlfriend" Caroline snapped, she was finding it really hard not to attack Katherine, but she knew if she attacked her, she would be harming Aria and the babies more then Katherine.

"Right" Katherine whispered, "Um, there's something you guys need to know".

"What?" Elijah asked.

"I broke up with Damon" Katherine replied.

"Excuse me?!" Caroline yelled, standing up, "You did what now?!".

"Caroline" Elijah warned.

"Don't Caroline me, Elijah" Caroline snapped, "Why would you do that?".

Katherine frowned, this was not the reactions she was excepting, "Guys, you know what Damon did to Aaron's family, I can't have my children grow up with a serial killer as their father".

Kol glared at Katherine, "You know Aria, recently it seems like you're not you".

Katherine looked at Kol in shock, "Wh-what do you mean?".

"You broke up with the guy who you fought the whole world for" Kol replied, "It's almost like something's changed, like maybe you're not the Aria we all knew and loved".

"I will have to agree with Kol on this one" Elijah said, he knew his brother was trying to get Katherine to mess up, they all were hoping she would mess up, "You've been acting extremely strange".

"Yeah, last time you and Damon broke up, you were so devastated" Klaus said, "Caroline, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ari nearly kill someone?".

"Yeah, she nearly did" Caroline replied.

"Guys, I'm not the same girl anymore, a lot has changed since then" Katherine said, trying to divert everyone's attention, "What Damon and I had, it was epic, but not every epic love, is true love".

"Damon and Aria's is" Caroline snapped.

"No Caroline, it isn't" Katherine said, "I can't be with him, this is my last decision and I need you guys to respect it".

"I need some air" Caroline whispered.

"I'm coming as well" Kol said.

"Wait for me" Klaus said, as the three walked out the boarding house.

"What was all that?" Katherine asked, looking at Elijah and Rebekah in confusion, "It's my relationship, why are they so upset over it?".

"You really have to ask that?" Rebekah asked, "Caroline has been yours and Damon's number one supporter, along with Kol and Klaus, they've been waiting for yours and Damon's wedding for so long, how can you except them to not be upset?".

"I just thought they would respect my decision" Katherine replied.

"Damon doesn't just mean something to you, Aria" Elijah said, "He's like a brother to Caroline, he's Kol's best friend, and Niklaus's best torture buddy, they can't see him hurting, and they won't forgive anyone who hurts him, not even you".

"I can't think about all this" Katherine said, "I have to find a dress that fits".

"A dress?" Rebekah asked confused, "What for?".

"For Whitmore's Annual Bitter Ball" Katherine replied.

"That's a ball for singles" Rebekah said.

"Something I am" Katherine said, going up to her room.

"She's awful" Rebekah whispered to Elijah, after Katherine had gone upstairs, "She has no quality of Aria in her, how can she even think we're going to get followed by her?".

"Arrogance" Elijah replied simply.

"Did you figure out how to get her out of Aria's body?" Rebekah asked.

"Not yet, but I think I'm close" Elijah replied.

"We need to hurry Elijah, Katherine's already ruined Damon and Aria's relationship, we have to stop her before she ruins Aria's whole life" Rebekah said.

Klaus, Kol and Caroline were at the town square, Klaus sat on the bench, watching both Kol and Caroline pace back and forth in anger.

"I hate her" Caroline said, "I hate her so much, she ruined Damon and Aria's relationship, Damon was supposed to propose to Aria, right now, we were supposed to be planning their wedding alongside Aria's baby shower, oh my god, Aria's gender reveal, me and Rebekah were supposed to start planning that, ugh, that bitch ruined everything".

"You know what I don't get?" Kol said, "Say Katherine called or messaged Damon and broke up with him, why hasn't he called any of us, like that guy has lost his mind, surely he knows we're trying to reach to him with the amount of times we've called and left him messages, we even filled up his voicemail, but not once has that dickhead tried to contact us!".

"How could Damon even think Aria would break up with him" Caroline snapped, "She literally made him promise that he will never leave her, and that was after she found the truth about what he did to Aaron's family, like would it kill him to use his brain for once in his life?!".

"Uh guys" Klaus said, gaining the two vampires attention.

"What?!" Both Kol and Caroline snapped.

"Aaron Whitmore is dead" Klaus replied, showing the two vampires the news report Rebekah just sent him, "They found his body on the highway".

"That's definitely Damon" Kol said.

"Okay, enough is enough" Caroline said, "We need to spilt up into three groups, we have stuff to do, things are already so bad, and we need to start fixing things".

"What's the plan love?" Klaus asked.

"Kol, me and you are on keeping an eye on Katherine duty, make sure she doesn't try to harm Aria or the babies" Caroline said, "Rebekah and Elijah are going to be on finding a way to remove Katherine from Aria's body duty, Klaus, you are on finding Damon duty, and once you find him, tell him the truth about his and Aria's break up".

"Well then, looks like we all are going to have a busy day" Klaus said.

"When you find Damon, stake him on my behalf" Kol told Klaus.

"And mine" Caroline said.

"And Ri's" Kol said, "How could he doubt her love for him?".

"Once I find Damon, I'll make sure to ask" Klaus replied.

Caroline stood outside her, Rebekah and Aria's shared dorm room, she was dreading going inside, knowing Katherine was in their, touching her best friend's things, but Caroline also knew, she needed to keep Katherine preoccupied, if she got suspicious and realised what the others were doing, then things could get messy, and Caroline didn't want that.

So taking a deep breath, Caroline opened the door and entered the door room.

"Good" Katherine said, standing up, "You're back, I need your help", she hold two pairs of earrings against her ears, "Diamond or dangly?".

"You're deciding your jewelry yourself?" Caroline asked.

"What do you mean?" Katherine asked confused.

"I mean, usually, I always pick out your dress and jewelry for events, because according to you picking dresses and jewelries out are too much work" Caroline replied.

"Well, I wanted to try and see if I can put together a cute outfit myself" Katherine said.

"So you're going tonight?" Caroline asked.

"Of course I am" Katherine replied.

"Aria Connor agreeing to going to a event without anyone forcing her" Caroline said, "That's a first".

Before Caroline could say anything, her phone start ringing, Katherine realising it was Kol, quickly took the phone from Caroline.

"We should invite Kol" Katherine said, before Caroline could get a chance to speak, Katherine answered her phone, "Hey, Kol".

"Ri" Kol greeted confused.

"I have a question" Katherine said, "Tonight's this Whitmore thing for, lonely hearts, I think you should come, so will you?".

"Nope" Kol replied, "College parties are not my thing", Kol had to stop him himself from adding. specially with you.

"Please?" Katherine pleaded, "If it's bad, then I'll owe you a fun time".

At this moment, Caroline had to restrain herself from smashing Katherine's head in.

"So we're going to a college dance but we can't show up together because you can't bring a date?" Jeremy asked April.

"Rebekah and Caroline's rules" April replied.

"Better idea" Jeremy said, "Let's get a hotel room instead".

"And do what?" April asked, giving Jeremy a teasing smile.

"You know what" Jeremy replied, wrapping his hands around April's waist.

"Do I?" April teased.

"Shut up and kiss me" Jeremy said.

"Gladly" April said, kissing Jeremy.

"It's like driving past a car crash, except you want to look away" Damon said, walking over to the couple.

"Damon, where have you been?" Jeremy asked, "Everyone's been looking for you".

"There's something you need to know" April said.

"Don't care, I'm just here to kidnap your boyfriend" Damon said, shocking the couple.

"You're not funny" Jeremy said, thinking Damon was joking, "Now listen to me, Aria, she's--".

Before Jeremy could finish his sentence, Damon interrupted him, "Yeah not interested in anything Aria related, you two listen to me, I have this hit list and I can't find my last target, so basically, I need a witch".

"Why not just ask Aria?" April asked, hoping Damon would talk to Aria and realise she's not Aria.

"Ego" Damon replied, "She broke up with me, now I don't want to see her, so, while I kidnap your boyfriend, April, you're going to find Aria, and tell her to do a locater spell on Wes, here take this", Damon handed April a bloody cloth, "That's Wes's blood, my buddy, Enzo, kept this as a souvenir, now, this should jumpstart a locator spell that Aria will do to save her best friend".

"Damon, Aria won't be able to do the spell because Aria isn't--".

"What have I missed?" Enzo interrupted Jeremy.

"Aria isn't Aria!" April yelled, getting tired of being interrupted.

Damon rolled his eyes, "Stop with the excuses, April, just find Aria and get her to do the locator spell".

"Or what?" Jeremy challenged.

Enzo smirked, he speeded over to Jeremy and held his hand tightly in his hands and started squeezing it, causing Jeremy to yell in pain.

"Stop!" April yelled, "Stop! I'll ask Aria, just stop hurting him!", after a moment, Enzo let go of Jeremy, causing him to fall to the ground.

"Aria's going to hate you when she comes back" Jeremy whispered to Damon, "You not only thought that she broke up with, but you also killed Aaron, and tried to hurt me, Damon, you're screwing up your relationship to the point it might not be able to be repaired".

Damon rolled his eyes, "There is no relationship Jeremy, there is no Aria and Damon anymore".

April and Jeremy looked at each other, they knew they needed Kol, only he could get through Damon and make him realise his mistake.

Katherine walked into the Bitter Ball, immediately she took out her phone to call Kol, but stopped when she saw Kol infront of her, glaring at all the people who even tried to talk to him.

"Hey, you made it" Katherine said.

"Unfortunately" Kol said.

"Why so grumpy Mikaelson?" Katherine asked.

"Many reasons" Kol replied, "I'd rather not get into them tonight, what I don't get is who comes with such a shit idea?".

"Lonely single people" Katherine replied.

"Of course" Kol mumbled.

"Come on" Katherine said, grabbing Kol's hand, but Kol quickly removed his hand from her grasp, "Everything okay?".

"I don't dance" Kol replied simply.

"Oh come on, it will be fun" Katherine said.

"Kol" Caroline said, running over to the Mikaelson, who looked like he was ready to murder, "Come on, dance with me".

Before Kol or Katherine can protest, Caroline grabbed Kol's hand and dragged him towards the dance floor.

"Thank you" Kol whispered into Caroline's ear.

"Anytime" Caroline assured.

"Kol!" April yelled, running over to Caroline and Kol.

"There you are" Kol said, "Where's Jeremy?".

"Enzo took him" April replied, shocking the two vampires.

"What?" Kol asked.

"Let me explain" Damon said, walking over to Caroline and Kol.

"You idiot, stupid, asshole!" Caroline yelled, gaining a few people's attention, "Where have you been, do you know what happened to Aria?".

"Don't know, don't care" Damon stated.

"Oh don't give me that, you care Damon" Kol snapped, "You will never stop caring about her".

"Well I wonder how Aria would react when she finds out that if she doesn't do a locater spell on the elusive Dr. Wes Maxfield, I'm going to kill Jeremy" Damon said.

Kol didn't waste a second in punching Damon in the face, shocking everyone, without looking at everyone's reaction, Kol grabbed Damon by the collar and dragged him out, April and Caroline following.

After reaching outside, Damon shoved Kol away from him, "What is your problem?".

Kol shoved Damon, "What is your problem?! Here everyone is worried on how to bring Aria back, while you're going on murder sprees, do you not care that your kids and the mother of your kids are in danger!".

"Why should I care?!" Damon yelled, "She broke up with me! She told me I don't deserve to be the father of our kids!".

"You, idiot!" Kol yelled, punching Damon again, "You know the type of person Aria is, ask your heart right now, if you think Aria, the girl who will go against the whole world just for you, will actually break up with you, or even separate you from your kids!".

"I don't want to think anymore Kol!" Damon yelled, "I no longer care!".

"So you won't care if I told you that Katherine is possessing Aria?" Kol asked.

"You're lying" Damon replied, refusing to believe Kol, "You're just trying to defend Aria".

"Fine" Kol said, "Don't believe me, keep doing what you're doing, and when we bring Aria back, then you can tell her yourself that she fell in love with a bloody asshole, who gave up on her!".

Damon looked at Caroline, who was standing behind Kol with April, "Is it true?".

"You know it is" Caroline replied.

For a moment, Damon stood there like a statue, "I have to go" he suddenly said.

"Damon--".

"I have to kill Wes" Damon interrupted Caroline.

"Are you kidding me?!" Caroline yelled, "Instead of helping us bring Aria back, you're going off with Enzo going on murder sprees?!".

"She's better of without me" Damon replied.

Kol glared at Damon, suddenly he grabbed a branch and stabbed Damon in the stomach, after giving him one last kick, Kol walked away, if he stayed any longer, he feared he was going to murder Damon.

Kol, Caroline and April had managed to find Enzo and Jeremy.

"Jeremy!" April yelled, running over to Jeremy, who was dead, as Enzo had suffocated him using a plastic bag.

Kol grabbed Enzo and shoved him into a wall.

Caroline quickly removed the plastic from Jeremy's face, she listened to his heartbeat and to her shock, he wasn't breathing, "Come on Jeremey!" she yelled, starting do give Jeremy chest compressions.

"Leave Enzo, I am not in the mood to deal with you" Kol said.

"Did I give you the impression I was taking orders from you? My bad" Enzo said.

Kol headbutted Enzo, causing him to fall to the ground, he then kicked him, causing him to smash into the wall.

"Come on Jeremy!" April yelled, giving Jeremy mouth to mouth CPR, and eventually Jeremy woke up again.

Enzo grabbed a stake and threw it at April, hitting her on the back.

"Dammit!" Kol yelled, running over to April, he took the stake out of April's back, biting into his wrist, he made April drink his blood.

Enzo went to attack Caroline, but Damon walked into the room.

"You missed all the fun" Enzo told Damon.

"Bonnie Bennett introduced me to a new witch, someone called Liv, and her spell worked" Damon informed, "Wes is in Richmond".

"Brilliant, I'll drive" Enzo said.

"Damon" Kol called out, stopping Damon, "If you walk away now, despite knowing that Aria's in trouble, then don't bother coming back, if you're not going save Aria and your kids from Katherine, then maybe they are better off without you".

"Damon, please" Caroline pleaded, "Aria needs you, when she wakes up, the first thing she's going to want is to see you, please stay".

Damon looked between Kol and Caroline, he then turned around and walked away.

"Damon!" Caroline yelled, but he didn't turn back, instead he kept walking away.

Kol hugged Caroline and let her cry it out, trying he's best not to show how upset he was, while Jeremy and April sat on the floor, hugging each other, both shocked that Damon walked away instead of staying.

"So, what do you say?" Enzo asked, as he and Damon entered the building Wes was hiding in, "Paper, scissors, stone for who gets to give Dr. Frankenstein his fatal blow?".

"No, he's all yours" Damon replied.

"Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about leaving home" Enzo said.

"I didn't just leave my home Enzo" Damon snapped, "I left my soulmate behind, I left my kids behind, I left my sister, my best friend behind, it's not easy, okay?!".

"No one told you to leave" Enzo reminded.

"They don't need me" Damon said, as both he and Enzo heard a noise, "Come on, let's end this".

Damon kicked open the door, only to come face to face with a bunch of travelers.

"Who the bloody hell are you?" Enzo asked.

"My back up" Wes replied, coming behind Damon.

"You gotta be kidding me" Damon said, as he and Enzo fell to the floor, yelling in pain.

"What is this?!" Enzo yelled, "More witches?!".

"Close!" Damon yelled, "Travelers!".

Before Damon could register anything, Wes injected him with something.

"Good luck making new friends, Damon" Wes said, as Damon fell unconscious.

"Here" Caroline said, handing Kol a glass of bourbon, and sitting next to him infront of the fire, Katherine staying at campus.

"I didn't actually think he would walk out" Kol whispered.

"None of us did" Caroline said.

"How's Jeremy?" Kol asked. 

"Fine" Caroline replied, "Him and April are staying at Ric's apartment".

"Good, that's good" Kol said.

"What are we supposed to tell Aria, Kol?" Caroline asked, after a moment of silence.

"The truth" Kol replied.

"So we're supposed to tell her, that her soulmate walked out on her, instead of trying to help her?" Caroline asked.

"When you say it like that, it sounds bad" Kol replied.

"That's cause it is" Caroline said, "I can't believe he didn't stay".

"Caroline, everytime Damon's gone too far, he always comes back for Ri" Kol said.

"But you told him not to come back" Caroline reminded.

"If Damon loves Ri has much as he claims he does, then he has to come back to her, he has to make it up to her somehow, someway" Kol said.

"And if he doesn't?" Caroline asked, suddenly very scared.

"Then he's a even bigger idiot then I thought" Kol replied.

"We have to save him, from himself Kol, before it's too late" Caroline said.

"I know Caroline, trust me, I know" Kol said.

"Caroline! Kol!" Rebekah yelled, barging into the boarding house.

"What happened?" Caroline asked, "Where's Klaus and Elijah?".

"Looking for the traveler's knife" Rebekah replied.

"The what knife?" Kol asked confused.

"The travelers knife" Rebekah repeated, "That's the thing that's going to save Aria from Katherine".

"Oh" Damon groaned, slowly waking up.

"What did he stick you with?" Enzo asked Damon, also waking up.

"I don't know" Damon replied.

"All right, come here" Enzo said, helping Damon stand up.

"I can tell you, if he stuck me with that cannibal vampire poison, we might have a problem" Damon said.

"What kind of problem?" Enzo asked.

"Wes has this sick little scheme, to destroy vampires by making them feed on each other" Damon replied, suddenly both the vampires heard banging, "You hear that?".

Enzo nodded, and the two vampires went to check the strange noise out, the split up to cover more room and that's when Damon came across a room, when a person was chained up in.

"Psst" Damon called out.

The unknown guy, opened his eyes, and breathed a sigh of relief seeing Damon and not Wes, "Can you get me out of here?" he asked, "I don't want to be here, I need to get out".

Damon broke the chains that were holding the guy, freeing him.

"Thanks, I owe you one".

Suddenly, veins started appearing under Damon's eyes seeing the guys blood.

"What's happening to you?".

"I'm gonna go ahead and say karma" Damon replied, "Karma is happening to me", without wasting another second, Damon attacked the unknown vampire.

"Damon?" Enzo called out, entering the room, "Damon, stop!", Enzo watched in shock as Damon ripped the vampire's head off, "Okay, I can see how this might be a problem".

How was the chapter? Not going to lie, while writing this chapter, I started getting annoyed with Damon >.<
