10. The Turning Point

"Aria, I won't leave without saying goodbye to you, face to face, so just relax and go to school" Damon said into the phone.

"I swear to god Salvatore if you leave without saying goodbye, I'll hunt you down and stake you myself, am I clear?" Aria warned.

"Crystal" Damon smirked, "Now hang up and go find your bestie, I'm sure she's going to want to know where you were all night".

"Ugh don't remind me, I still don't get why I couldn't just skip school and stay with you" Aria complained, really not in the mood to answer all of Elena's questions.

"Because than Elena and Stefan will think I've kidnapped you" Damon retorted.

Aria scoffed, "As if you care what they think".

"You're right, I don't" Damon confirmed, "But you care what they think, and you wouldn't want them to get the wrong impression now would you?".

Aria sighed, "Yeah, yeah".

"Now go to class Aria, and stay assured I won't leave without saying goodbye" Damon assured.

"Promise?" a still skeptical Aria asked.

"I promise Aria" Damon promised.

"Okay than, bye Damon, see you soon?" Aria asked, trying to confirm that Damon was going to keep his promise.

"Bye Aria, see you soon" Damon assured.

After Aria hanged up the phone, Damon went towards the window in his living, a small smile forming on his face, last night Aria had spent the whole night with Damon in the woods, they talked about everything and anything, Aria helped take Damon's mind off of his failure, she made it her mission to make Damon smile, and she didn't give up till she succeeded. 

This morning Aria was reluctant to leave Damon, she was scared he was going to leave without saying goodbye, after much promising from Damon, Aria finally left for school but not before threatening Damon to stake him if he didn't say goodbye before leaving.

Just thinking about Aria made a smile form on Damon's face, "You know, for someone who just failed in his mission to free his one true love, you sure seem happy" Stefan said, entering the living room and seeing the smile on his older brother's face.

Damon rolled his eyes, the smile from his face immediately going away the moment he heard his younger brother, "What can I say, I had great company last night, she managed to take my mind off of things".

"That reminds me, where is she?" a concerned Stefan asked, "You didn't hurt her, right?".

Stefan knew Damon will never hurt Aria, after all they were connected, but Stefan didn't want Damon to know he knew everything, about Aria and him being connected, about his and Natalie's love, and especially about his hatred for Katherine, Stefan wanted Damon to tell all that to him himself.

Damon scoffed, "I would never hurt her Stefan".

"I'm just asking, you're known to do reckless things when your angry" Stefan justified.

"Well I didn't do anything to her, so chill out" Damon snapped, angry with the fact that Stefan thought he will hurt Aria.

"So any idea of where you'll go?" Stefan asked Damon, after coming home Damon had told Stefan he was leaving Mystic Falls, Stefan let Damon know he was also leaving, too many people got hurt because of them, but truth be told Stefan doubted Damon will be able to leave Aria behind.

"I don't know, London, maybe" Damon answered, still looking out the window, "See some friends".

"You don't have any friends, Damon" Stefan reminded.

"You're right Stefan, I only have you" Damon said, turning to face his younger brother, "So where are we going?".

"We are not going anywhere" Stefan replied, "I'm gonna live my life as far away from you as possible".

"But we're a team, we could travel the world together" Damon suggested, "We could try out for The Amazing Race".

"Mm, that's funny" Stefan said, with a straight face, "Seriously, where are you going? Because we're not staying in this town".

Before Damon could reply to Stefan's question, the doorbell rang, catching both the brothers attention.

Stefan walked over to the Salvatore's front door and opened it, only to see Sheriff Forbes standing infront of him, "I'm here to see Damon" the Sheriff informed an confused Stefan, who was wondering why is she here.

"Uh, sure, okay" Stefan said.

Damon walked to the front door, "Sheriff, what a surprise".

"Sorry to bother you, but we need to talk" a slightly panicked Liz informed.

Damon nodded, "Come in".

Damon let the Sheriff in and closed the door behind her, he took her behind the Salvatore house, "I hope you understand the secrecy Stefan doesn't know about this yet, I'd like to keep it that way".

"Of course" Sheriff said, "Kids are too young to be brought into this".

"So, what do you need?" a curious Damon asked.

"There's been another attack" Sheriff informed, "A female victim, her throat torn out, completely drained of blood, it fits the pattern".

"I'm sorry, I don't understand" a confused Damon admitted, "I thought we solved that problem when I staked the blond one".

"I'm thinking she must have turned someone" Sheriff said, "Or multiple someones, I don't know, the story is another animal attack but I'm not sure how long we can keep lying to them, the council is in an uproar, we thought we were past this".

"So, uh, what do we do?" Damon asked, suddenly on edge once he realised there was another vampire in town, a vampire he had no idea about.

"You're the only one who's taken on a vampire" Sheriff replied, "We were hoping you could tell us".

"Did I miss something?" Elena asked Bonnie, as they walked down the school corridor and saw Matt and Caroline laughing together.

"They've been hanging out" Bonnie informed.

"Kind of weird, don't you think?" Elena asked.

"She needs someone nice like him" Bonnie replied, "As opposed to a homicidal vampire like Damon".

"Yeah, how are you going with all that?" Elena asked.

"I'm freaked out" Bonnie answered, "Damon tried to attack me, I could be dead right now, but I'm also grateful".

"Hmm?".

"To Aria, she saved my life" Bonnie clarified.

"Mm".

"Hey guys" Aria said, running up to Bonnie and Elena, "Sorry I'm late".

"Aria!" Elena exclaimed, glad to see her best friend unharmed, "Where have you been?! You didn't come home last night, I thought something had happened to you".

"Relax Lena, I'm fine" Aria assured.

"Where were you last night Aria?" Elena asked, "Bonnie needed you, I had to tell her everything by myself".

Aria sighed and looked at Bonnie, "Bon I'm so sorry for not being there for you last night, I'm not going to make any excuse as I know no excuse in this world is going to be enough for me being a bad friend, all I can say is that I'm really, really sorry".

"You were with him, weren't you?" Elena asked, glaring at Aria, "You were with Damon".

Aria sighed, she could already tell this wasn't going to end well, "Yeah, he needed me Elena".

"No Aria" Elena said, "Bonnie needed you, you know your best friend who Damon tried to kill".

"I didn't mean to not be there for Bonnie, but I also knew that she had you, Elena" Aria snapped, "Damon had no one, I know him trying to attack Bonnie was wrong, and trust me I gave him a mouthful for that, but last night he was devastated, he needed me".

"Damon had Stefan, you know, his brother" Elena snapped.

"Yeah, his brother who he hardly shares anything with" Aria snapped back, "God, stop being so insensitive Elena, I was helping out a friend just like you were, Bonnie had you, Damon needed me, and if you're expecting me to apologise for that than you can forget it".

"Unbelievable" Elena mumbled, turning to Bonnie, "Are you hearing her? If I hadn't known any better I would think he has you compelled, Aria".

"Oh for gods sake Elena, Damon hasn't compelled me, he would never do that" Aria said, furious with Elena for even thinking something like that, "And for you kind information Elena, you are not my mother Elena, you don't get to pick who I hang out with and who I don't, so much for not judging me, huh!".

Aria walked away from Elena and Bonnie, her mood suddenly very foul because of Elena and her comments and the way she looked at Aria like she had committed a huge crime, Aria refused to apologise for doing the right thing, Damon needed a friend and Aria just so happened to be that friend, Aria won't apologise for that.

"Thank you for stopping by" Damon said, leading Liz out.

"Let me know what you come up with" Liz said.

"Absolutely" Damon said, closing the door once the Sheriff had walked out.

As soon as Damon closed the door, Stefan vamp speeded to him and slammed him against the door.

"What is wrong with you? You killed somebody?" a furious Stefan asked.

"Get off of me" Damon said, shoving Stefan away, "A, don't touch me, B, if I had, I wouldn't have been so obvious about it, C, I was with Aria the whole night remember? And D, there's another vampire in town".

"That's impossible" Stefan stated, refusing to believe there was another vampire in town.

"Obviously not" Damon retorted.

"Well, who could it be?" Stefan asked, suddenly worried for the town and its people.

Damon shrugged, "Ah, what do we care? We're leaving anyway, right?" He asked, but Stefan and Damon both knew, Damon wouldn't leave until making sure Aria was hundred percent safe, which meant he needed to find the vampire and eliminate it.

"No, I can't leave now, and you know that" Stefan snapped, "How are we supposed to find this person?".

"Let the adults handle this stuff Stefan" Damon said, grabbing his phone and calling the one person whose safety he cared most about.

Aria was sitting on one of the school benches all by herself, after her fight with Elena, Aria has been grumpy all day, she was in no mood to face Elena or anybody else for that matter.

Aria's phone started to ring, Aria looked at her phone all ready to hang up on the person calling her but froze when she saw that Vampy 😈 was calling, Aria immediately thought the worst when she realised Damon was calling her.

"Please don't tell me you're calling to say goodbye because you've decided you didn't want to say goodbye face to face" Aria said the moment she answered her phone.

Damon let out a small laugh, "Aria I promised you I would say goodbye face to face, I don't break promises, trust me this isn't a goodbye call".

"Then what is it?" a confused Aria asked.

"We have a problem, Ria" Damon said, Aria smiled at the nickname Damon gave her, last night Damon had decided little witch wasn't a good nickname for Aria, which is why he started calling her Ria, a name her dad used to call Aria when she was younger.

"Oh god, what happened, please don't tell me you accidentally killed Stefan, me and Elena are already fighting, I don't think she will appreciate me telling her you killed the guy she likes" Aria rambled.

"Wait, you and Elena are fighting again?" a confused Damon asked, "I thought you guys solved everything".

"Long story, tell you some other time" Aria said, really not wanting to tell Damon the fight was about him, "You tell me, what's the problem?".

"There's a new vampire in town" Damon informed.

"What?" Aria asked shocked, "Who?".

"No clue, as far as I was aware me and Stefan were the only vampires in town, but the Sheriff found a body drained of blood, a body me and Stefan didn't kill, my guess is, whoever this person is they are fairly new at this because leaving a body like that was either sloppy or they're trying to send a message".

"Okay, so what's the plan, how do we find this new vampire?" Aria asked.

"We don't do anything" Damon said, "I only told you this, because I don't keep secrets from you, and I need you to be careful while I go look for this new vampire in town".

"Damon please let me help" Aria pleaded, "I'm going mental here, if I stay in school any longer I'm going to lose my mind and end up catching someone on fire, please let me help".

"Aria--".

"Please, please, please, with a cherry on top?" Aria interrupted.

Damon sighed, "I forgot how stubborn you Connor witches are, fine come to my house, I have a plan".

"On my way captain" Aria said, once she hanged up the phone, Aria grabbed her bag and quickly made her way to her car, eager to get out of this hell hole.

While on the other hand, Damon stared at his phone with a small smile on his face, "This girl is gonna drive me crazy".

Aria held the vampire compass that Damon gave her to help track the new vampire in town, the compass led her right to an abandoned building.

"Okay, I'm here, now what do I do?" Aria asked Damon through the phone.

"Stay there, I'll be there in a minute" Damon said.

"Alright, just hurry please, this building is creepy" Aria said, looking at the building infront of her in vary.

"Already here" Damon said from behind Aria, immediately startling her.

"Damon!" Aria exclaimed, turning around to face the smug vampire, "You scared me".

"My bad" Damon said smirking, and taking the vampire compass from Aria's hands.

"Remind me again, why you needed me to do this and you couldn't do it yourself?" a confused Aria asked.

"Well for one, you wanted to help, two, I interfere with the signal" Damon informed.

"Okay so what are waiting for, let's go" Aria said, going towards the warehouse.

"Yeah, no" Damon said, grabbing Aria's wrist and stopping her from going any further, "You've helped enough Ria, now it's time for you to go".

"What no" Aria protested, "Damon I want to know who this mystery vampire is".

"And I will tell you when your back home" Damon said, "I can't risk you getting hurt Aria, if my suspicion is right and this is a new vampire, it means they don't have control over their bloodlust, meaning they might end up attacking you, and I can't have that".

"Damon I'll be fine, I'm a witch remember, I can take care of myself, I'm not leaving you alone here" Aria stated.

Damon sighed, "You're not letting this go are you?".

"Nope" Aria replied, "We are partners Damon, either both of us go into the building or none of us go, choice is yours".

"God, did I mention how much I hate how stubborn you Connor witches are?" Damon asked.

"You might have" Aria said, giving Damon a cheeky smile.

"Fine, but you stay behind me the whole time, you might be a witch Aria, but you don't heal like I do" Damon reminded.

"Deal" Aria promised.

Damon nodded, he and Aria then made their way towards the entrance of the building, Damon grabbed the handle and twisted it open, the duo entered the building, Damon gestured Aria to stay quiet, Aria nodded.

Damon and Aria stepped forward and looked around, when suddenly Damon got shot multiple times with wooden bullets, making him fall to the floor while groaning pain.

"Oh my god" Aria whispered, shocked seeing who the mystery vampire was, "Logan?".

"Hello Aria" Logan said, giving Aria a evil smirk.

"Aria run" Damon groaned, the wooden bullets scarping his heart.

"Uh ah" Logan said, pointing his gun at Aria, "Don't try to run otherwise I'll kill your lover boy here, am I understood?".

Aria nodded her head, "Understood".

"Oh and don't think I've forgotten about your witch powers, don't even try to use your powers, otherwise your boyfriends blood will be on your hands, clear?" Logan asked.

"Clear" Aria said, really not wanting Damon to get hurt.

"And you" Logan said, turning to Damon, "I have tons of these wooden bullets, so nothing funky".

"You don't wanna do this, trust me" Damon said, trying to take out some of the wooden bullets.

Logan shot Damon again, "Stop!" Aria yelled enraged seeing Damon in pain, she extended her arms and pushed Logan away away from Damon.

Logan recovered from the fall, and shot Aria on the leg, "I said, no witch powers!".

"Logan don't!" Damon shouted, seeing Aria fall to the floor, "Don't touch her!".

"That's what you both get" Logan stated.

"For what?" Damon asked confused.

"You made me like this" Logan said, kneeling infront of Damon.

"I didn't turn you" Damon snapped.

"See, I know what you and your brother and little Aria over there are" Logan said, "I've been watching the three of you, I knew you'd show up here, and I'm glad you did because I have some questions".

"Me first, who turned you?" Damon asked, realising other than Logan, another vampire was in town.

"How should I know?" Logan snapped, "Last thing I remember is I'm about to stake your brother and then your little girlfriend over there flung me, that's it, until I wake up in the ground behind a used-car dealership on Highway 4, somebody buried me".

"It happens, ow, unh" Damon replied, removing the wooden bullets from his body.

"You bit me, it had to be you" Logan stated.

"It wasn't him jackass" Aria replied, her leg still bleeding, "I rendered you unconscious and Vicki Donovan killed you, Damon did nothing"

"Plus you have to have vampire blood in your system when you die" Damon explained, "I didn't do that, some other vampire found you, gave you their blood" Damon laid down on the floor with a grunt.

"Who?" a confused Logan asked.

"That's what I wanna know" Damon replied, slowly sitting up.

"Dude it's not like the welcome wagon was waiting with a Bundt cake and a handbook" Logan snapped, "It's been a learn-as-you-go process, one minute, I'm a small-town, on-the-rise news guy and next thing I know, I can't get into my house, because my foot won't go through the door".

"You have to be invited in" Damon said, taking a bullet out of his arm.

"I know" Logan replied, "I live alone".

"Sucks to be you" Aria taunted.

"Now, I'm at the Ramada, watching pay-per-view all day eating everything in sight, including housekeeping" Logan continued.

"It could be worse" Damon said.

"All I can think about is blood" Logan's eyes wondered to Aria's bleeding leg, "Like your girlfriend's blood".

"Touch her and I will rip you apart, and this time you won't come back" Damon warned.

"I can't stop killing people" Logan snapped, "I keep killing, and I like it, I'm conflicted".

"Welcome to the club" Damon said sarcastically, "Wait a minute, the cops only found one body".

"I left one, I was tired" Logan said, "I've been hiding the rest of the bodies, they're right back there".

"You're kidding" Damon said.

Aria looked in the direction Logan was pointing to see a pile of bodies, Aria wanted to vomit seeing how many people Logan killed.

"They just keep piling up" Logan informed.

Damon and Aria glanced at each other, something told them this wasn't going to end well.

"Why am I so overly emotional?" Logan asked, sitting on the ground, "All I can think about is my ex-girlfriend".

"Jenna?" Aria asked, Logan nodded, making Aria extremely worried, she didn't want Jenna to get involved in this mess.

"I wanna be with her, and bite her and stuff" Logan said.

"Bite her, and I will break every single bone in your body over and over again, then I will stake you myself" Aria threatened, making Logan glare at her.

"Well, you probably love her" Damon said, taking Logan's attention off of Aria, "Anything you felt before will be magnified now, you're gonna have to learn how to control that".

"What about walking in the sun?" Logan asked, "I'm a morning person, you can walk in the sun, which, by the way, is pretty cool, the council would never suspect you, that's not in the journals".

"Journals?" Aria asked confused.

"Yeah, the founding fathers, they passed down journals to their kids" Logan told Aria, he then turned to Damon, "Come on man, you gotta tell me, how can you walk around in the sun?".

"Who turned you?" Damon asked.

"How do you walk in the sun?" Logan asked.

"Who turned you?" Damon asked again.

"You know, I've been really nice so far" an angry Logan said, standing up, "But I will kill you and your girlfriend".

"Then you'll never know" Damon said also standing up, while Aria stayed on the ground, even if she tried to she couldn't stand up, "You're not answering my question".

Logan pointed his gun at Damon, "You first".

"It seems we're at a bit of an impasse then, doesn't it?" Damon teased.

"I have things to do, people to kill" Logan said, "I guess I'll be needing a little head start".

Before Damon could process what was happening, Logan had shot Aria in the stomach, "No!" Damon yelled.

Damon ran to Aria, while Logan left the building, "Damon, it hurts" Aria whispered, her hands on her bleeding.

"Shh don't talk, your going to be okay Aria, here" Damon said, before taking the bullet out of Aria's stomach, making the Connor witch scream in pain, "Shh, it's okay, you're okay", once the bullet was out Damon bit into his wrist and fed Aria his blood.

After sometime Damon saw Aria's wounds heal, making him sigh in relief, he held onto Aria tightly, scared that if he let go, she will disappear.

After Aria got shot, Damon didn't want her to leave his sight so he brought her back to the Boarding House with him, Aria was currently relaxing on Damon's bed while Damon was informing Stefan on the recent findings.

"Logan Fell's a vampire" Damon said into the phone, "And when I find him again, I am gonna destroy him, limb by limb".

Damon wasn't furious at Logan because he hurt him, he was furious at him because he hurt Aria, Damon could tolerate a lot of things but he couldn't tolerate Aria getting hurt.

"Are you okay?" Stefan asked.

"No, I'm not okay" Damon snapped, "I was ambushed, I was shot, Aria was shot, now I'm vengeful, just gotta find him".

"Wait hold up, did you just say Aria was shot?" Stefan asked worried, "Aria was with you?".

"Yeah, Logan shot her but relax she's fine, I gave her my blood she's all healed up and is now resting right in front of my eyes" Damon said, his eyes wondering to Aria, who was on his bed reading a book.

"Why the hell would you take Aria with you Damon?" Stefan snapped.

"I didn't willingly take her Stefan, have you met the girl, she's so stubborn" Damon said, making sure Aria could hear him and she did but she just rolled her eyes at him, "Now spare me the lecture, I need to find Logan Fell and end his chapter once and for all".

"Well, there's no need" Stefan said, "He's here at the school".

"You're kidding me" Damon said, searching for shirts in his cupboard, "Why the hell is he there?".

"He's working the crowd" Stefan informed.

"Well, me and Aria will be right there" Damon said, hanging up the phone.

"Where we going?" a curious Aria asked.

"School, turns out Logan Fell wants an audience" Damon said, "You up for it?".

"Of course I'm up for it" Aria said, getting up, "Let's go".

"Yeah, not dressed like that" Damon said.

Aria looked at Damon in confusion, she than looked down at her clothes and realised her shirt was covered in blood, so were her pants but you couldn't see the blood since her pants were black.

"Here" Damon said, throwing one of his shirt at Aria, "Get dressed, we have a vampire to kill".

Damon and Aria were nearly at the school when Stefan called them, telling them that Logan had taken Caroline, so the duo made a detour and started looking for Logan and Caroline.

They had finally managed to locate Logan's car with the help of Stefan, who wasn't happy seeing Aria involved in this, he was worried for her safety especially after Damon told him that Aria was shot by Logan.

When the trio saw Logan's car stop, Stefan speeded towards the driver's seat and pulled Logan out and pushed him to the ground, Logan tried to get up but Aria came and stopped him in his place with her magic while Damon shot him with wooden bullets multiple times.

"Payback's a bitch, isn't it?" Damon asked, glaring at the former news reporter, before turning to his brother, "Get Caroline and Aria out of here" Damon told Stefan, Aria didn't try to argue with Damon on this one, she wanted to stay with Caroline and make sure she was okay.

Stefan nodded, and went towards the passenger seat to grab Caroline.

"Logan, what happened, Logan?" A panicked Liz asked through the phone, her being the person Logan was calling before the trio ambushed him.

Damon ran to the phone and picked it up, "Sheriff, it's Damon".

"Where's Caroline?".

"She's okay" Damon replied, "Uh, I'm on Elm Street".

Stefan carried Caroline with one hand and grabbed Aria's hand with the other.

"Be careful" Aria told Damon, just as Stefan vamp speeded them away.

Stefan had dropped both Aria and Caroline at Caroline's house, Aria didn't want to leave Caroline's side, seeing her unconscious in Logan's car scared Aria to death, she thought she was going to lose her best friend today.

"Aria, you don't have to stay, I'm fine" Caroline assured.

"I can't leave you Caroline, you could've died today, I could've lost my best friend today, god, I'm so glad your okay" Aria said, tears welling in her eyes.

"Hey, hey, hey" Caroline said, sitting on her bed and hugging Aria, "I'm okay Aria, I will never leave you alone".

"Aria and Caroline promise?" Aria asked.

"Aria and Caroline promise" Caroline promised.

Aria and Caroline promise was a promise Caroline and Aria had made when they were in first grade, it was a promise that both the best friends could not break under any circumstances, this promise meant a lot to both the best friends.

"Forget all that, tell me whose shirt are you wearing" Caroline asked, coming back to her old self, "Whose the guy?".

"How are you so sure it's a guy?" Aria teased.

"Oh please, I know a guy's shirt when I see one, so spill" Caroline demanded.

Aria sighed, she took a deep breath and told Caroline about her and Damon, about them being connected due to her being an Connor witch, and how safe she feels with Damon and how he always protects her, she obviously left out the part of Damon being a vampire. Aria needed to tell someone about all this and that person just couldn't be Elena, she would just get mad, but Aria knew Caroline will understand, she always understands.

"Wow" Caroline said, letting all the information sink in, "So all Connor witches, past, present and future, have someone they are connected to, who they are bound to meet sometime in their life?" Aria nodded, "And your connected to Damon?" Aria nodded again, a huge smile formed on Caroline's face, "So I was right to push you and Damon together, you guys are literally made for each other".

Aria chuckled, "Let's not go that far Care, I care for Damon and he cares for me but I don't if it's going to go any further".

"Well, weather it does or doesn't, I'm still really thankful to Damon" Caroline admitted.

"Thankful?" a confused Aria asked, "Why are you thankful to Damon?".

"I've noticed the change he has brought in you, your more happy, more adventurous, his bringing back my old Aria, and I'll always be thankful to him for that" Caroline replied.

Aria looked at Caroline with teary eyes, "You know your the first person I've told about me and Damon, I haven't even told Elena and Stefan".

Caroline smiled, "I promise I won't tell anyone until you tell them yourself".

Aria hugged Caroline tightly, "Thank you for understanding".

"I'm always here for you Aria" Caroline said, breaking the hug and wiping Aria's tears, "Now enough tears, tell me The Flash or Black Lightening?".

"Is that even a question?" Aria asked.

"The Flash it is" Caroline said, making Aria laugh.

After watching one episode of The Flash, Caroline decided to go shower, leaving Aria alone in the room, Aria was browsing through her phone when Damon's contact popped up.

"Please tell me you're not dead" Aria said answering the phone.

"Well technically, I am dead Ria" Damon teased.

"You know what I mean" Aria retorted.

Damon laughed, "I'm fine, are you okay?".

"I'm okay" Aria said.

"You're at Caroline's right?" Damon asked.

"Yeah why?" Aria asked.

"Can you come outside for a second, I need to tell you something" Damon said.

"Damon, is everything okay?" Aria asked, the seriousness in Damon's voice making her worry.

"Just come out Aria, it's important" Damon said.

"Okay I'm coming" Aria said, after hanging up the phone and making sure Caroline was still in the shower, Aria made her way outside, only to see Damon sitting on Caroline's porch, Aria went and sat next to him, "What's wrong?".

"There's another way Ria" Damon informed.

Aria looked at Damon in confusion, "Another way for what?".

"Another way to get into the tomb" Damon revealed.

"What?" Aria asked shocked, "Who told you that?".

"Logan did" Damon replied.

"Logan Fell?" Aria asked shocked, Damon nodded his head, "Why would Logan Fell tell you that?".

"Well I was about to kill him for hurting you, when suddenly he said I'm not the only one who wants to get into the tomb, he said there's another way" Damon explained.

"What is it?" Aria asked.

"I don't know yet" Damon answered, "Before I could ask the Sheriff arrived but I'm meeting him at the old Fell's church, before I went I wanted to let you know".

"Damon you realise he could be leading you into a trap, right?" a worried Aria pointed out.

"I know, but I have to go Aria, I have to know if there's another way to get into that tomb" Damon said.

"Okay" Aria said nodding her head, she knew how important this was for Damon, "Do you want me to come with you?".

"No" Damon said, shaking his head, "I need you to stay here, stay safe, stay with Caroline and have your little sleepover, I'll tell you everything in the morning".

"Okay" Aria nodded, not wanting to leave Caroline alone either, "Just be careful".

"When am I not?" Damon smirked, he got up to leave, but stopped when Aria held his wrist.

"Before you leave, I need you to know something" Aria said, standing up and facing the vampire.

"What?" Damon asked confused.

"I told Caroline, Damon" Aria said, "I told Caroline about us being connected, don't worry I didn't tell her about you being a vampire or anything about Natalie or Katherine, only about us being connected, she already knew I was a witch, I know this was our secret not just mine, but Damon I had to tell her, she's my best friend and I needed--"

"You needed someone to know" Damon finished, "It's okay Aria, I'm not mad, I know keeping such a secret was eating you from the inside".

Aria gave Damon a small smile, "She won't tell anyone, I promise".

"If you trust her, than so do I" Damon stated, placing a kiss on Aria's forehead, the witch and vampire stared at each other for a moment, before Damon finally speeded away, leaving Aria standing on the Forbes porch with a small smile on her face.

After Damon had left to meet Logan, Aria and Caroline decided they wanted to watch more of The Flash, Aria didn't even realise when they had fallen asleep.

Aria's sleep was broken when her phone started ringing, Aria groaned and looked around, realising her and Caroline had fallen asleep while watching The Flash, Aria picked up her phone and realised Elena was calling her.

"Lena?" Aria asked in groggy voice, "Why are you calling me so late, everything okay?".

"Aria" Elena cried, hearing Elena crying, all the sleep suddenly disappeared from Aria.

"Elena, what's wrong, why are you crying?" a worried Aria asked, immediately sitting up on her bed.

"Aria I look exactly like her" Elena cried.

"Like who Lena?" a confused Aria asked.

"Katherine" Elena revealed, "I look exactly like Katherine".

"Oh my god" a shocked Aria whispered.

"Aria please come and pick me up, please" Elena cried.

"Yeah, yeah, where are you?" Aria asked, getting out of bed.

"I'm at the Boarding House, come quickly Aria please" Elena informed.

"Just hold on Elena, I'm coming" Aria assured.

After leaving a note for Caroline, letting her know that Elena needed her, Aria got into her car and started driving towards the Boarding House.

While driving, all Aria could think about was how can Katherine and Elena look alike, is that why Stefan was so interested in Elena, how can Damon not have told her that?

In her thoughts, Aria didn't see a man standing in the middle of the road, when she realised, it was too late as she hit the man, which caused her car to flip over a couple of times.

Aria coughed, her car was upside down and the blood was rushing to her head, making it hard for Aria to breathe. 

Aria looked around in a panic and that's when her eyes landed on her side mirror, in which she saw the man she hit getting up, almost like nothing happened to him.

He than started making his way to towards a panicked Aria, as the mystery man stood right next to Aria's damaged car, Aria let out a huge scream.
