16. While You Were Sleeping

Aria slowly opened her eyes, and realised she was still on her and Damon's shared bed.

"Hey, you're awake" Kol said, entering the room, "I brought hot chocolate for the pregnant lady".

Aria smiled and took the hot chocolate from Kol, "Did I pass out?" Aria asked, not remembering falling asleep.

"Yeah, you did" Kol replied, "You've been in and out for a while now".

Aria looked down at her stomach in worry, "Are they--".

"They're fine" Kol assured, "After you passed out, we called Meredith, she checked everything and assured us that everything is fine".

Aria breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank god" she whispered, Aria then started looking around the room.

"Looking for someone?" Kol asked, though he had a feeling who she was looking for.

"Where's Damon?" Aria asked, "I want to see him Kol".

"I'll tell you" Kol assured, "But before that, I think there's somethings we need to catch up on".

"Like?" Aria asked.

"Like, what's the last thing you remember?" Kol asked, sitting down on the bed, he wanted to know if Aria saw everything Katherine did or not.

"Um, last thing I remember was me running into you outside the Grill, and telling you about Katherine inhabiting my body, while at the same time being attacked by Katherine's whole life" Aria recalled, "I don't remember anything after that".

Kol sighed, "Ri, that was three weeks ago".

"Three weeks?" Aria asked shocked, "It took you guys three weeks to get Katherine out of me?".

Kol nodded, "We needed to find the Travelers knife, which the Travelers made extremely difficult to find".

"Kol, where's Damon?" Aria asked again, "I really want to see him, please where is he?".

Kol hesitated, he was here to tell Aria everything Damon did, but sitting here, and seeing how much Aria wanted to see Damon made him question if telling her right now was what she needed.

"Kol, is everything okay?" Aria asked, suddenly worried.

Kol sighed, "Ri, Wes injected Damon with the ripper virus when he went after him".

"What?" Aria asked shocked, "Is he okay?".

"Well, he wants to attack every vampire at the mere scent of their blood" Kol replied, "So we locked him up in the basement cellar".

"I need to see him" Aria said, getting out of bed.

"I don't think that's a good idea" Kol said.

"Kol, I won't get close to him, I will never risk the babies life, but I need to see him, please let me see him" Aria pleaded.

"No getting too close?" Kol asked.

"No getting too close" Aria promised.

"Fine" Kol said, "Just wait five minutes, let Jeremy give Damon some blood, and then you can go visit him".

"Promise?" Aria asked.

"I promise Ri" Kol assured.

Jeremy entered the cellar, with a cup of vampire blood in his hand, Damon reached his hands out to grab the cup, but Jeremy placed it on the floor, just out of Damon's reach.

"Hilarious" Damon said sarcastically, Jeremy used his foot to bring the cup closer to Damon, "Give me the damn cup" Damon snapped, getting impatient, eventually he managed to reach it and he downed the blood in one go, he then looked at Jeremy and threw the cup at him, which Jeremy easily dodged, "Wipe that smile off your face".

"Hey, you're lucky I'm even helping you" Jeremy snapped, "Considering the last thing you did for me was tell Enzo to strangle me to death and attack my girlfriend".

"Quit crying, you're still around" Damon said.

"Yeah, but Aaron Whitmore isn't" Jeremy said, "And once Aria finds out that you not only killed Aaron, but stood to the side while Enzo attacked me and April, and to top it all, you walked out on her and her kids, she isn't going to be around either Damon".

"Has Kol told her yet?" Damon asked, fearing rising in his heart.

"No" Jeremy replied, "The first thing Aria wanted to do when she woke up was see you, and Kol didn't have it in his heart to tell her everything, knowing how heartbroken she will get, so when she comes down here to see you Damon, for once in your life do the right thing, and tell her the truth".

"I will" Damon snapped, "But if either you or Kol beat me to it, I'll rip your tongue out".

"Damon!" Aria yelled, coming down to the basement, causing Jeremy to smirk.

"Don't you dare" Damon warned.

"Jeremy?" Aria said confused, seeing Jeremy still in the cellar, "I thought you left".

"I was just leaving" Jeremy replied, "How you feeling?".

"Confused, hungry, bored" Aria replied, she stepped forward and hugged Jeremy.

"God, I missed you, the real you" Jeremy said.

"I missed you too, Jer" Aria mumbled.

Jeremy broke the hug and looked between Aria and Damon, "I'm going to leave you two alone with each other" he said, walking out the cellar.

Aria turned and faced Damon, tears in her eyes, "Hey" she whispered, sitting on the chair, Jeremy left behind for her.

"Hey, you" Damon said, taking Aria's presence in, knowing after he told her the truth, she will want nothing to do with him, let alone see his face.

"How you feeling?" Aria asked worried.

"Hungry" Damon replied honestly.

"I'd give you my blood but Kol strictly said that if I want to stay here no giving you blood" Aria said.

"And for once, I agree with Kol" Damon said.

"I really want to kiss you, hug you, just be with you" Aria admitted, "I really need it".

"I really need it too" Damon admitted, "But we both are going to have to wait a little while for that".

"Kol told me that Rebekah and Caroline are trying to find a cure for your virus, and if they don't find anything, I'll go through the many grimoires I have, there has to be something somewhere" Aria assured.

"It's fine Ria, you don't have to do all that for me" Damon said.

"Of course I do, Damon" Aria said, "I love you, you didn't leave me when Katherine was possessing me, so how can I leave you when you need me?".

Damon looked at Aria, the immense guilt in his eyes missed by her.

Aria looked down at her stomach, and put both her hands on it, "You know, if this whole Katherine incident wouldn't have happened, we would have known our babies gender by now".

"Really?" Damon asked shocked.

Aria nodded, "I did the calculations while waiting for Jeremy to give you blood".

"You still want to know the genders?" Damon asked.

"I don't know" Aria admitted, "I mean, knowing the genders would make it so much easier for baby shopping, but at the same time, not knowing until their birth kind of excites me".

"I don't think Caroline will appericate you changing your mind about your gender reveal party" Damon said.

Aria chuckled, "I know, what do you want?".

"Whatever you want Ria" Damon replied.

"Right now, I want you to be cured" Aria said, "And for that I think we're going to have to keep the babies stuff on hold".

"You realise you can do the baby stuff without me, right?" Damon asked.

"Not happening" Aria replied, "The babies would want their father present in everything related to them, and so would the babies mother".

Damon didn't say anything just gave Aria a small smile, he knew as soon as Aria knew the truth, she would herself not want Damon near her or the babies.

"So, did Katherine do anything bad as me?" Aria asked, worried.

"Other then break my heart?" Damon asked.

"What?" Aria asked shocked, "Katherine broke your heart?".

"It was before Kol told me that Katherine was possessing you" Damon replied.

"How did she do it?" Aria asked curiously.

"I don't know, it's not like it's been playing on a loop over and over, so I don't really remember" Damon replied, not wanting to tell Aria the truth just yet.

"God Damon, I am so sorry" Aria apologised, "I tried to get to you before Katherine got full control of my body, but instead I ended up running into Kol".

"Well, it was all downhill from there" Damon said.

"I remember feeling so much pain, but I kept running, I wanted to find you Damon" Aria said, "I wanted to fight Katherine, not only for our babies but for you, for us, and I still am going to fight Damon, till the very end".

"Oh, Aria" Damon whispered, "The second I'm cured of this and don't wanna rip your head off, I'm gonna give you the most mind-blowing night of your life".

Aria smiled, "We can work something out Mr. Salvatore".

"Find anything?" Caroline asked, as her and Rebekah searched Wes's lab, hoping to find an antidote for Damon's virus.

"Nothing yet" Rebekah replied.

"Hello, ladies" Enzo said, entering Wes's lab, "I'm Enzo".

"The Enzo" Caroline realised.

"No, the other one" Enzo said sarcastically.

"All right, other Enzo" Rebekah said, "If you're here to involve us in one of your stupid schemes, then let me just tell you now, that we want nothing to do with it".

"I'm here for the same reason you two are" Enzo revealed, "I want this vampire-feeding virus out of our lives".

"Why? You want your killing buddy back?" Caroline asked, "Is killing innocent people not as much fun when you're alone?".

"News flash, you're not getting him back, the person who kept him in control is officially back" Rebekah informed.

"Right, Damon mentioned you two get a little judge-y" Enzo said.

"Yes, we do" Rebekah said.

"But then again, he also said you had a thing for accents" Enzo told Caroline, he then turned to Rebekah, "I have a thing for accents myself, if I'm to be honest".

"Alright accent lover, do us a favor and stay out of this" Rebekah said.

"Yeah, we don't need any more problems" Caroline said.

"Then you're not the least bit impressed that I have the antidote?" Enzo asked, stopping the two vampires from walking away.

"And you didn't think to mention that as soon as you got here?!" Rebekah snapped.

"Can we talk about the irony of Katherine Pierce, sitting through a college lecture?" Damon asked.

Aria laughed, "I find the picture very hilarious" she said, "But I bet the bitch is going to cause me to fail".

"No way" Damon said, "If anything, there's some sucker compelled to spend his entire spring break, doing your homework".

"You think Katherine will actually do that?" Aria asked.

"No, but Klaus would" Damon replied, "I believe he said something along the lines of that being his and Elijah's parting gift".

Aria chuckled, "Now that sounds about right, I'm going to have to add that to the huge list of things I need to fix, number one on that list is to fix things with Aaron".

"Aaron? What the hell does he have to do with anything?" Damon asked, slightly confused.

"Well, I haven't talked to him since he found out that I was a vampire" Aria replied, "And Kol told me you went after Wes, I figured you killed him, which I don't blame you, he totally deserves it, but I just can't help but feel sorry for Aaron, now he's officially alone".

"Well, you probably won't find him" Damon said.

Aria looked at Damon in confusion, "And why's that?".

Damon hesitated, "No reason" he replied.

Before Aria could ask any questions, her phone started ringing, "It's Caroline" she told Damon, "Hey Care, long time no see".

"Oh you have no idea how much I've missed you" Caroline said, "We really need a girls night in".

"I completely agree" Aria said, "But before that, you find anything to cure Damon?".

"I didn't, but Enzo did" Caroline replied, shocking both Damon and Aria, "But to get the antidote, he needs your help".

"My help?" Aria asked confused.

"The travelers have the antidote, and in order for them to give it to us, they want your blood" Caroline replied.

"Of course they do" Aria mumbled, "Alright, tell me where do I meet you?".

"Me and Rebekah are on our way to pick you up, heads up, Enzo is also with us" Caroline replied.

"Okay, I'll be waiting" Aria said, hanging up on Caroline.

"You can't give your blood to the travelers" Damon protested.

"To save you, I will do anything" Aria said.

"Ria, what if the travelers try to harm our babies?" Damon asked worried.

"I'll kill them" Aria replied simply, "I will never let anyone harm you or our children Damon, you know that, just like you will never let anything happen to us".

Damon didn't say anything, just gave Aria a forced smile.

Aria sat in the car with Enzo, Caroline and Rebekah.

"Who are you calling?" Rebekah asked, sitting in the front seat with Enzo, while Caroline and Aria sat at the back.

"Aaron" Aria replied, causing the other three to exchange an uneasy look.

Aria dialed Aaron's phone, which went straight to voicemail.

"Hey, it's Aaron, leave me a message, or don't, whatever".

"Hey Aaron, it's me Aria, which I'm sure you could tell by the contact name" Aria said, "I'm guessing you're out of collage like everyone else, enjoying spring back, maybe even on a private island, look, last time we met, a lot happened, you found out a lot about me, I think it's time we meet and talk, only if you're willing to talk to me and listen to me without any judgement, if you are, call me back, please".

"Why are so you interested in this Aaron guy?" Enzo asked curiously, "I thought you already had a boyfriend".

"I'm not interested in him, he's my friend, and I need to know that he's doing okay after Wes's death" Aria defended, grabbing her diary.

"Why did you bring your diary?" Caroline asked confused.

"I found it right before you guys came to pick me up, I opened it and read a few lines and realised Katherine wrote in it, so I want to read more in hopes of finding out everything Katherine did, maybe even some things you guys don't know about" Aria replied.

"Well you might as well read it out loud" Enzo said, "I'd love to know how girls write in their diaries".

"I wasn't going to read it in my head in the first place" Aria said, opening her diary, "Dear Diary, I love my life, seriously, becoming Aria Connor is the best thing that has ever happened to me", Aria turned the page, "Spent the day on the road with Kol", Aria looked at Caroline in shock, "Kol went on a road trip with Katherine?".

"Unfortunately" Caroline replied.

"Why would he do that?" Aria asked confused.

"Long story, love" Enzo replied, when none of the girls said anything, he figured they didn't want to tell Aria that Kol went to find Damon after he walked out on Aria.

Aria looked at the trio in confusion, "Are you guys hiding something from me?".

"No" Caroline said, rather quickly, "Why would you think that?". 

"Because you guys are acting weird" Aria replied.

"We aren't acting weird, we are just tired, it's been a hectic couple of days" Rebekah defended.

"Keep on reading love, I want to know more about this Katherine who possessed you" Enzo said.

Though Aria didn't believe Rebekah's excuse, for now she decided to let it go, "Although the highlight was our little pit stop at the hotel" Aria read, "I had to wash up after 'accidentally' getting grease on my shirt, though it was small, the make out session was sensational".

"I remember that" Caroline remembered, "Kol was so disgusted, he brushed his teeth so many times, it was kind of funny".

Aria grabbed her phone and dialed Kol, "Hey Ri".

"How can you not tell me?!" Aria snapped.

"Uh, what didn't I tell you?" Kol asked, not knowing what Aria knew.

"Katherine kissed you, as me" Aria replied, "She wrote it in my diary, how could you not tell me?!".

"Because I know you, and I know right now, you're sitting in that bloody car, feeling guilty because of Katherine's actions" Kol replied.

"Kol--".

"Am I wrong?" Kol interrupted.

"No you're not" Caroline said, looking at Aria's guilty facial expressions, "Her face is full of guilt".

"Kol, I'm so sorry" Aria apologised.

"Ri, let me stop you right there" Kol said, "Katherine kissing me, wasn't your fault in any shape or form".

"I know, trust me I know" Aria said, "But I still felt like I should apologise".

"Well, you shouldn't, there's no need" Kol assured, "Right now, you shouldn't even be stressing about Katherine, just focus on getting the cure for Damon, that's it".

"I'm just trying to put the pieces together of everything I missed" Aria said.

"Damon, will tell you everything you missed Ri, and if he doesn't then I will" Kol assured.

"Promise?" Aria asked.

"Promise Ri" Kol said.

"Where's Aria?" Rebekah asked Caroline, as they were walking in the junkyard the travelers were residing in.

"She felt really hungry, so she's sitting in the car drinking a blood bag, for some reason Enzo's making sure she doesn't lose control, they'll join us soon" Caroline replied, "You think Damon will tell Aria the truth about Aaron and everything else he did?".

"He will" Rebekah replied.

"When?" Caroline asked.

"Caroline, it's not an easy conversation to have" Rebekah replied, "He can't just tell her that, hey Aria, I've killed the first and only friend you've made in college, I love you".

"Killing someone in cold-blood isn't casual, but Damon managed that just fine" Caroline snapped.

"You still mad at him?" Rebekah asked.

"Of course I am" Caroline replied, "He's still in that damn cellar, all cozy, while we are left to tell Aria the truth about how he walked out on her".

"Caroline, Kol told us we can't tell her, it has to be Damon who tells her everything he did" Rebekah said.

"Or I can tell her" Enzo said, coming behind the two girls, "Considering I was laying in the road when they stopped his car".

"Where's Aria?" Rebekah asked.

"Using the restroom" Enzo replied.

"There's a restroom, here?" Caroline asked, looking around in confusion.

"We managed to find it, after much difficulty" Enzo replied, "Must say, that girl really likes to chat, doesn't she?".

"Why are you doing all this?" Rebekah asked curiously, "Obviously beside getting Damon to undo everything good about him".

"Is it such an anomaly for Damon to have a friend?" Enzo asked.

"He has a friend, and his name is Kol, my brother" Rebekah replied, "But you ruined that equation as well, so congratulations, you have Damon all to yourself".

 "Sorry guys" Aria said, walking over to trio, completely missing their conversation, "I had to pee".

"Okay, now that, we're all here, where is the antidote?" Caroline asked Enzo, just as Caroline asked that, a bunch of travelers surrounded the four vampires.

"Who the hell are you?" Aria asked, as a traveler made her towards her.

"I'm Sloan" Sloan introduced, "And you met some of the Travelers when they took a bucket of yours and your soulmate's blood".

"How could I forget?" Aria said sarcastically, "Thanks for that by the way, really appreciated it".

"So you have the antidote for the Ripper virus?" Rebekah asked.

"We do, thanks to Enzo" Sloan replied.

"I was trapped in that bloody farmhouse with Damon set to have my head torn off when, out of nowhere, Wes, with the Travelers, saved my life" Enzo revealed, "On the condition I owed him one".

"Farmhouse?" Aria asked confused.

"Long story" Enzo replied simply.

"Stop saying that" Aria snapped.

"Trust me love, it's for your own benefit" Enzo said, confusing Aria.

"What does that have to do with us?" Caroline asked confused.

"He was running low on vampires, and needed one to continue his work, so I let him experiment on me" Enzo replied, "Among other things, it allowed him to make an antidote".

"When he died, the travelers took it" Sloan revealed, "And seeing as Damon is valuable to us, we're willing to negotiate with you Aria".

"What kind of negotiation?" Aria asked confused.

"Before we give you the antidote, we have to find something" Sloan replied.

"Which is what?" Aria asked.

"Another Damon and another Stefan" Sloan revealed, shocking Aria.

"There's another Damon and Stefan out there?" Aria asked shocked.

"Never stopped and thought there might be more doppelgangers roaming around?" Enzo asked, "Clearly, you don't know your traveler lore".

"I'm sorry, and you do?" Caroline asked.

"Having stuck with them for the past few weeks, I've picked up a few things" Enzo replied, "Like how the last soulmate doppelgangers are special".

"Special how?" Rebekah asked curiously.

"None of your business" Sloan snapped.

"Talk to her like that again, I dare you" Aria challenged, stepping closer to Sloan.

"Easy there, love" Enzo said, holding Aria back, "You have to excuse Sloan, she's under a bit of stress".

"Don't ever snap at the friends of a pregnant lady" Aria said, glaring at Sloan.

"The leader of the travelers--Marcus was it?" Enzo asked.

"Markos" Sloan corrected.

"Markos, see?--wants the blood from the last pair of doppelganger soulmates" Enzo revealed.

"Me and Damon" Aria realised.

"Bingo" Enzo said.

"Why?" Caroline asked confused.

"Apparently they're special" Enzo replied.

"Of course we are, we're soulmates" Aria said, "But the question is, why are we special to the travelers?".

"Don't think I didn't ask, as witnessed, the travelers are very secretive" Enzo replied, "But what we do know that until the last doppelganger's are out of the picture Aria's blood, mixed with Damon's, doesn't do squat".

"So what?" Aria asked, "You are really expecting me to kill a version of Damon?".

"And Stefan" Enzo interjected.

"And it's more of a linking spell" Sloan said, "The doppelganger we are trying to find Aria, is your original soulmate, if you had never met Damon, then you and this doppelganger would have found each other, that's what the universe would have wanted, so we are going to use your link to the doppelganger, to find him and his brother".

"Look, I know there's a lot of them but between me, you, Rebekah and Enzo, I bet we can take them" Caroline told Aria, as her, Aria and Rebekah walked across the junkyard.

"Please tell me you didn't say that" Rebekah said.

"We are not leaving without the antidote for Damon" Aria stated.

"Sorry, I'm desperate" Caroline mumbled.

"You'll be fine" Aria assured.

"What if you lose your memory like Stefan did?" Caroline asked.

"Well, then just make sure I don't fall in love with Stefan or something, that will be gross" Aria replied.

"Disgusting" Rebekah said.

"Agreed" Caroline said, "Who volunteers themselves for witch-y shock therapy anyways?".

"Me" Aria replied.

"You're pregnant Aria" Caroline reminded.

"Trust me Care, I'm not going to go through this if it risks my babies" Aria assured, "But if it doesn't, I'm going through with this, I need to get Damon back to normal, no matter what".

"If anything happens to you, I'll kill them" Rebekah said.

"I'll join" Caroline said.

"That's for you, sit" Sloan said, as the girls finally arrived where the travelers were.

"Before we do this, I need to know that doing this won't risk my babies" Aria said.

"Relax, it won't" Sloan assured, "But you're going to wish it did".

"Excuse me?" Aria asked, glaring at Sloan.

"Your babies are the first babies of two vampires, they are going to be born tribrids Aria, the amount of power they hold, they will have the ability to destroy all and any supernatural creatures" Sloan replied, "And when your sons turn twenty two, one of them is going to merge with the other, making themselves even stronger".

"Merge?" Aria asked confused.

"Sons?!" Rebekah and Caroline asked shocked.

"You're having two sons and a daughter, Aria" Sloan replied, "And in your pervious life, you created and saved a coven called the Gemini coven, and to this day, they are looking for it's leader, aka you, in the Gemini coven, they have a tradition, whenever twins are born, they must merge, one of your son is going to kill the other, and there's nothing you or anyone would be able to do to stop the merge from happening, because the future leaders of the Gemini coven have to be someone from your bloodline".

"What about my daughter?" Aria asked, placing her hands on her stomach, "Is she going to be involved in the merge as well?".

"No" Sloan replied, "It's only your sons, the merge requires only two people, and it's written, the future leaders of the Gemini coven, will be one of the sons of the Original Tribrid".

"Okay, where the hell do you read all these things?" Aria snapped.

"You're part of the Connor bloodline Aria, so are your children, prophecies about the Connor bloodline are written before Connor witches are even born" Sloan said.

"None of my sons are going to die" Aria snapped.

"You won't be able to stop it" Sloan said, "The merge has to happen, and one of your sons will die in the hands of their brother".

Aria looked at Rebekah and Caroline, who were looking at her in equal shock.

"Now, sit" Sloan said.

"Give me Damon's antidote" Aria snapped.

"You'll get it when we're done" Sloan assured.

"Or, first you hand it to me, then you get to do your stupid shock therapy" Aria said, "I don't break my promises Sloan, I'm here, and I won't run, just give me the antidote first".

"I'll take it" Enzo said, "I'll make sure Damon gets it".

"And I'll go with him" Rebekah said, not trusting Enzo.

A traveler handed the antidote over to Enzo, "What you don't trust me?".

"No" Rebekah replied.

"Go" Caroline told Rebekah, "I'm here with Aria".

"Very well, let's go love, we have a ripper to save" Enzo said.

"Be careful" Rebekah told Aria, then walked away with Enzo.

Aria sat down on the chair, and Sloan pulled out a knife.

"Wait, you said you weren't gonna hurt her" Caroline snapped.

"No, I said I won't hurt her babies, I said I'll try not to hurt Aria" Sloan said, "We need her blood for the spell".

Sloan grabbed Aria's hand and made a cut on it, and let her blood slip into a bucket, Sloan tipped two of her fingers into the blood, and placed both her hands on either side of Aria's head, as she started chanting, Aria started yelling in pain, seeing Aria in pain, caused Caroline to look away, not being able to see Aria in pain.

"Why is this taking so long?" Caroline asked, as the sun set but the travelers weren't done with Aria.

"Just a little deeper" Sloan replied.

Suddenly, visions started appearing infront of Aria's eyes, she saw a stage, where a guy was sitting, a book in his hand.

"Welcome everyone, my name is Dean Avery, and I welcome you to my poetry reading" Dean said.

"I see him" Sloan said, "He's in a city".

"My everything" Dean read, "Bonded to you in emotional bliss, untied in physical rapture, I realise my dreams and fantasies, engulfed in contentment and satisfaction, I know heaven in your arms, my intense hunger nourished, deep yearning fulfilled, I am open to you in total trust, you are my refuge, my everything".

"Dean, I have a question" A girl said, once Dean finished reading.

"Go ahead" Dean said.

"This poem you wrote, is it for someone special?".

Dean smiled, "It's a message for the girl who one day I hope to find and spend the rest of my life with".

"Dean, will you being doing anymore readings in Atlanta?" Another girl asked.

"Atlanta is my home" Dean replied, "And I haven't been home for a long time, so I plan on staying for a while".

"Atlanta" Aria whispered, "He's in Atlanta".

"Good, that's great" Caroline said, "You found him".

"Keep going, push harder" Sloan told the other travelers, as their chanting started getting louder, and the fire around Aria got higher.

"No, you said you know where he is, what are you doing?" Caroline asked Sloan.

"We're not done" Sloan replied, as Aria yelled in pain, "The link is strong enough, we need more information".

"You're pushing her too hard, she's gonna lose everything, stop" Caroline pleaded.

"We need the doppelganger and his brother dead" Sloan said, "Louder".

"No!" Caroline yelled, speeding over to Sloan and putting a knife on her throat.

"If you hurt me, they'll kill you" Sloan threatened.

"The person you are hurting, she's a tribrid, she will kill anyone who even dares comes near us" Caroline said, "Now tell them to stop, there's a way we can all get what we want".

Suddenly, Sloan was thrown away from Aria and on to the floor, Caroline looked at her in confusion.

"The babies" Aria whispered, making Caroline realise the triplets, had pushed Sloan away from Aria.

"Damon!" Aria yelled, running into the boarding house and right into Damon's arms.

"Aria" Damon whispered, wrapping his arms around Aria, "You're okay, I was so worried when Enzo and Rebekah told me about you being with the travelers".

"I'm okay, and so are you, the travelers gave me and Caroline five days to find and kill Dean and his brother before they come after us, for now we're okay" Aria whispered, she broke the hug, and cupped Damon's face, "I love you Damon Salvatore" she whispered, kissing Damon.

"Aria, there's something you need to know" Damon said, dreading this moment.

"Damon, there's something I need to tell you first" Aria said, "It's about our babies".

"Are they okay?" Damon asked.

"Sloan told me what we're having" Aria replied.

"What?" Damon asked shocked.

"We're having two boys, and one girl Damon" Aria informed, tears in her eyes.

"Wait, seriously?" Damon asked, speechless.

Aria nodded, "Seriously, but there's something else".

"What else?" Damon asked, confused seeing Aria's worried face.

Aria then went on to tell Damon about what Sloan told her about the Gemini coven and one of their sons dying when they turn twenty two.

"No" Damon said, shaking his head, "None of our sons are dying".

"Sloan said there's no way to stop the merge" Aria cried, "Damon, I am so scared, I don't want to lose a son".

"We won't" Damon promised, wiping Aria's tears, "We are not losing any of our children".

"I-I already lost my parents Damon, I can't lose my children" Aria cried.

"And you won't" Damon promised, "I promise you, none of our children are going to die, we will find a way, we have twenty one years to find a way".

"Hold me" Aria said, hugging Damon, "Please, just hold me".

"I don't think you're going to want me to hold you" Damon said, hugging Aria, and letting a few tears slip, realising how much he screwed up.

"I'm always going to want you to hold me" Aria assured.

"Not when I tell you the truth about everything I did" Damon said, making Aria break the hug and look at Damon in confusion.

Damon poured himself a drink, and looked at Aria, who was sitting by the fireplace, with tears streaming down the place.

"Say something" Damon pleaded, "Share anything and everything thats going around that beautiful head of yours, please Ria".

"Don't call me that" Aria whispered, she wiped her tears and faced Damon, "Is that the type of person you think I am? To break up with through text? To stop you from meeting your own kids? The minute you got the text Damon, you should have noticed that it wasn't me, I didn't except you to know that it was Katherine, but I excepted you to know I would never do something like that".

"You don't think I know that?" Damon asked.

"And you know what Damon, that's not even the worst part, you killed Aaron" Aria cried, "And when Kol told you the truth and instead of staying and saving me, forget me, instead of saving yours kids from Katherine, you decided it was more important to kill Wes, you let Katherine ruin us Damon!".

"Katherine didn't do this, Aria" Damon snapped, walking closer to Aria, "I did, I thought you broke my heart, so I rip open Aaron's neck, and when I realised that I screwed up, I couldn't face you Aria, so I turned away, that's how much it scares me to disappoint you, that's how much control you have over me!".

"And I'm still standing here Damon, I should be out that door, I should tell you that these kids that I'm going to be giving birth to in a few months, are my kids, only mine, but I can't!" Aria yelled, "And that's how much control you have over me!".

"Listen to us, we are toxic" Damon said, "We are in a toxic relationship Aria, I just killed you friend, and instead of being there for you and our kids Aria, I walked away, yet here you are trying to find someone else to blame".

"Nothing about us was toxic Damon, we were good for each other, we kept each others darkness away Damon, but you ruined that!" Aria yelled, "We were doing so good Damon, you and I were happy, but you walked out on us, how could you do that to your own kids?! And you know the sad part is, even after all this, I still love you, my stupid heart won't stop loving you!".

"Then tell your heart to stop loving me!" Damon yelled.

"Trust me, I tried!" Aria yelled, "But it's not that easy Damon, no matter what you do, somehow, someway my heart always find a way to forgive you, but I don't know if I can do that this time".

"You shouldn't" Damon said, "You shouldn't do that this time".

"I know" Aria whispered, "This time I can't let you get away this easily, I can't do this anymore Damon".

"Then we agree" Damon said, tears in his eyes, "This has to end".

"Congratulations Damon Salvatore, you are officially a single man" Aria cried, tears streaming down her face, "You are free from the responsibility of me and my children".

 Aria turned around to leave, when Damon grabbed her arm and pulled her into a kiss.

Aria broke the kiss and looked at Damon, "We can't do this" she whispered.

"One last night" Damon pleaded, "Just give me one last night with you Ria, and after that I promise I will never bother you again".

Aria looked into Damon's eyes then at his lips, "One last night?".

"One last night" Damon promised.

Aria looked at Damon for a moment, then smashed her lips on to his.

Damon picked Aria up and speeded up to his room, he gently laid her on to the bed, Aria helped Damon take his shirt off, while Damon took Aria's shirt off.

Damon then pushed Aria back on to the bed and smashed his lips on to hers, holding her hands above Aria's hands, for a moment Aria and Damon just stared at each other, taking each other in, then Damon kissed Aria again.

Thoughts on Sloan telling Aria that her sons are going to have go through the merge? Honestly, I'm just setting up for the Legacies sequel, as you could in that it won't be Lizzie and Josie who will go through the merge but it will be Daria's sons >.<
