16. Bringing Her Back

It was the night Damon and Aria had reunited after Aria saw Elena kiss Damon, deciding they needed some time alone with each other, Aria and Damon decided to go on a walk, while walking they had somehow ended up on the same road in which they had met at.

Aria smiled, when she realised where they were, "How do we always end up here?".

Damon smiled and laced his fingers with Aria's, "Because this is where our story started".

"When you met me, did you ever think that we will have, what we have now?" Aria asked curiously.

"Back then I didn't think much of our connection, but looking back now, I think as soon as I laid my eyes on you, I wanted a future with you" Damon admitted.

Aria stopped walking and faced Damon, "You know, when I first bumped into you, at your house, I remember thinking, wow he has the bluest eyes I've ever seen, I could have stared at you for eternity".

Damon pulled Aria closer to him, "Well lucky for us, we have eternity".

Aria smiled, all of a sudden it started raining, making Aria laugh, "Talk about timing".

"Come on, we are getting soaked" Damon said.

"No wait" Aria said, stopping Damon from walking away, "Kiss me".

"What?" Damon asked, slightly confused.

"I always wanted to kiss the love of my life when it's raining" Aria explained.

Damon chuckled, "You realise, that's really cliche, right?".

"Everything about us, to a extent is cliche Vampy" Aria replied, "You're the bad boy, I'm the good girl, we are the cliche love story of a good girl falling for the bad boy".

Damon grabbed Aria's wrist and pulled her to his chest, "There's nothing cliche about us, you and I are one unique story, no one can ever be us", Damon leaned down and pulled Aria into passionate kiss, while the rain soaked both the vampires.

"Forever?" Aria asked, after they broke the kiss.

"Forever and ever" Damon replied, kissing Aria's nose, making her laugh.

"Found her?" Kol asked.

"No" Elijah replied, through the phone, "Me and Niklaus have looked everywhere but we can't find Bonnie Bennett anywhere".

"Dammit!" Damon yelled, "We have three hours left, if we don't find Bonnie in three hours then we are going to lose Aria forever".

"That's not happening" Klaus snapped, standing by Elijah, "We checked her father's house, Rebekah and Caroline checked the Gilbert's house, you both checked her Grams's house, where else could she be?".

"Wait hold on" Kol said, realising something, "We are looking in places where Bonnie would be, why are we not looking in places where Qetsiyah would be?".

"Maybe cause we don't know Qetsiyah" Damon snapped, extremely on edge as time was running around.

"But we do know that she's a powerful witch" Kol replied, "Think Damon, where would a powerful witch like her go after possessing her descendent?".

"A place full of magic" Damon realised.

"There's two places in Mystic Falls that are full of magic, the lake that Kol preserved with the help of the Gemini coven" Elijah listed.

"And the cemetery" Klaus continued, "Where our mother died, twice".

"Alright, so you and Elijah go check the lake, me and Kol will check the cemetery" Damon ordered.

"Alright, if anyone finds anything, call the others straight away" Elijah said.

"Okay" Kol said, hanging up.

"Let's go" Damon said, "We are running out of time".

Kol nodded and with that both the vampires rushed towards the cemetery.

Two hours left,

Kol and Damon entered the cemetery, "Hello?!" Kol yelled, "Qetsiyah! You here?!".

"Let's check the crypt" Damon said, "If a witch is going to be anywhere, it's there".

Kol and Damon walked over to the crypt, entering it, they were met with candles everywhere, and Bonnie Bennett, standing in the middle of the crypt.

"About time you both got here" Qetsiyah said.

"Thanks for telling us where you were" Kol snapped.

"How are you going to bring Aria back?" Damon asked, getting straight to the point.

"By using yours and Kol's life force to give Aria her life force back" Qetsiyah replied, "If you both were humans this spell would have killed you, but since you both are immortal you have nothing to worry about".

"What do we need to do?" Kol asked.

"Bring Aria's body here" Qetsiyah replied, "And hurry, you're running out of time".

"I'll call Nik and Elijah and tell them to bring Aria's body" Kol said, quickly walking out of the crypt, leaving Damon and Qetsiyah alone.

"How did Silas and Damien know you were possessing Bonnie?" Damon asked curiously.

"I put visions in their head" Qetsiyah replied, "I knew when they find out about Aria, both of them would gladly help bring her back, even two thousands years later, both of them have a soft spot for Aria's face".

"Because she looks like Adriana?" Damon asked.

"That's exactly why" Qetsiyah replied, "Turns out having the same face as the girl who two immortals loved actually turned out well for Aria, for now at least".

"What the hell does that mean?" Damon asked confused.

"Let's just say I don't envy Aria, having the same face as Adriana can be a blessing, but let's be honest, it's more of a curse" Qetsiyah replied.

"Is she going to be in danger?" Damon asked worried.

"I can't answer that" Qetsiyah replied, "All I can say is that Silas and Damien aren't going to bring anything good in Aria's life".

Before Damon could ask anything else, Kol came back, "Nik and Elijah are on their way".

One hour later,

"Nik and Elijah are here" Kol informed, as Elijah and Klaus entered the crypt, with Klaus carrying Aria, Rebekah, Caroline and Liz right behind them.

"Place her on the floor" Qetsiyah ordered.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Liz asked, a bit worried, as Klaus placed Aria on the circle of witches herbs on the floor.

"Rest assured, Aria Connor will be coming back tonight" Qetsiyah assured, she turned to Damon and Kol, "I need both your blood".

Damon and Kol nodded, they both bit into their wrist, "Where do we put it?" Kol asked.

Qetsiyah grabbed a chalice and forwarded it to the two vampires, "In here".

Both Damon and Kol let their blood fall into the chalice, once it was almost full, Qetsiyah grabbed the cup.

"Question" Kol said, as Qetsiyah prepared for the spell, "Are you able to bring Jeremy back as well?".

Qetsiyah sighed, she was already excepting that question, "Unfortunately, I am only able to bring back Aria, but rest assured Kol, it will take her some time, but eventually Aria will bring Jeremy back, you will see him again, I am here to just bring Aria back, and remove the black magic from her and back into Bonnie".

"Why would you do that?" Rebekah asked confused.

"Because Aria wasn't the one who did black magic, she doesn't deserve what comes with expression, the person who did it deserves the consequences" Qetsiyah replied.

"So you're giving the witch her magic back?" Klaus asked, not liking this.

"No" Qetsiyah replied, "I'm giving her expression back, there's huge difference between magic and black magic, like expression".

After that, no one asked any more questions, Qetsiyah grabbed the chalice with Damon and Kol's blood and she started chanting, the fire around everyone started started getting higher, after a moment the fire died down, and Qetsiyah opened her eyes, she kneeled down next to Aria's body, she placed the chalice near Aria's mouth and made her drink it.

"Hold her hand" Qetsiyah told Damon and Kol.

Damon held Aria's right hand, while Kol held Aria's left hand, Qetsiyah placed her hand over Aria's heart and started chanting, as Qetsiyah chanted, veins started appearing in Kol and Damon's arms and transferring into Aria's arm and towards her heart, both Kol and Damon felt immense pain shot through them, but both of them refused to let go of Aria's hands, as the spell progressed, Aria's grey skin eventually started disappearing.

"It's working" Caroline whispered, holding onto her Mom.

Eventually all of Aria's grey skin went back to her normal color, and Qetsiyah stopped chanting and stepped back from Aria.

"Did it work?" Damon asked eagerly, looking at Aria who still hadn't woken up.

"It worked" Qetsiyah replied.

"Then why isn't she up yet?" Kol snapped.

"It's going to take her a while, but she will get up" Qetsiyah assured, "Take her home, give her an hour, she will come back, now it's time for me to go".

"You can't leave" Caroline said, "Aria's not up yet".

"I came here to bring Aria back, and I've done that" Qetsiyah replied, "I must go now, but tell Aria, I will be seeing her again".

Before anyone could say anything, Bonnie fell to the floor unconscious.

"What the hell?" Rebekah said, so confused.

Bonnie groaned and slowly opened her eyes, she looked around in confusion, "What am I doing here?".

"You don't remember?" Rebekah asked confused.

"Remember what?" Bonnie asked.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Elijah asked.

"I was at the Gilbert's living room, Aria had trapped me, Stefan and Elena there", Bonnie's eyes landed on a unconscious Aria, "Oh my god, Aria, what happened to her?".

"None of your business" Kol snapped.

"Damon, Kol, take Aria away from here, we will take care of her" Elijah said, pointing to Bonnie.

Damon nodded, he picked Aria in his arms and speeded away to the apartment, Kol following closely behind.

Damon placed Aria on her bed, Jeremy's body no longer there, Damon figured Kol took it somewhere, Damon sat beside Aria and grabbed her hand.

"Come back" Damon whispered, "Come back to me Ria, please".

"Damon" Kol said, entering the room, "We have a problem".

"Seriously?" Damon asked.

"Jeremy's body is gone" Kol replied, shocking Damon.

"What do you mean Jeremy's body is gone?" Damon asked, standing up.

"Before we left, I shifted Jeremy's body in his room, when we returned he wasn't there, but this was" Kol replied, handing Damon a note.

"You got to be kidding me" Damon snapped, reading the note, then grabbing his phone and calling someone.

"Damon".

"Why the hell would you take Jeremy's body Stefan" Damon snapped.

"Jeremy is Elena's brother Damon, she should have the last call of what happens to his body" Stefan snapped back.

"Jeremy and Elena haven't been sibling for a very long time and you know that" Damon retorted, "Now tell us where is Jeremy's body, he deserves a proper funeral, and when Aria wakes up, that's the first thing she would want to do".

"Aria's not dead?" Stefan asked shocked.

"Mine and Kol's connection is bringing her back" Damon replied, looking at Aria's unconscious body, "Now tell me, where the hell is Jeremy?".

Stefan sighed, "Elena burned his body".

"Excuse me?!" Damon yelled shocked.

"She couldn't take his death, so she turned her humanity off, and she burnt the Gilbert house down, Jeremy's body was in the house" Stefan explained.

"For gods sake!" Damon yelled, hanging up on Stefan.

"She burnt his body?" Kol asked, Damon nodded, "Damon, Aria isn't going take Jeremy's death well, and without a proper funeral, she never got to say goodbye to him, this isn't going to be good".

"I know Kol" Damon said, running his hand through his hair, "Trust me, I know".

Before Damon and Kol could say anything else, Aria Connor gasped and finally opened her eyes.

Just so you guys know, this chapter didn't follow 4x16, the next chapter of Cold Hearted will follow that episode, I'm sure you could tell by the title of this chapter 😂
