01. I Know What You Did Last Summer

Dear Journal, 

As you could tell, I have had the best summer ever! We spent a whole month in New Orleans with Nik and Elijah, and surprisingly we didn't have to fight that much, there was a witch here and there that wanted the Originals out of town, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle.

After spending a month in New Orleans, me, Caroline and Rebekah went on a road trip all across country, much to both Nik and Damon's dismay, but we wanted to have some fun before we turned into collage girls, Rebekah might have had a bit too much fun, but she deserved it.

After coming back from the road trip, Damon surprised me with a two week trip to Europe, we explored France, Italy, and Greece, it was the most romantic holiday ever!

After coming back from Europe, Kol and Jeremy kept complaining that everyone went on holidays except them, so to stop their everyday complaining, we went to London, and April also joined us, (who Jeremy finally confessed his feelings to), I'm not going to lie, I don't remember much of London, I was a bit too drunk.

And now three months later, we are back in Mystic Falls, back at the boarding house, which by the way, is officially ours, I've moved in with Damon, well until collage starts anyways, so have both Kol and Jeremy, Stefan left town, so Damon decided he wasn't going to let Elena stay in his house, so both Damon and Kol kicked Elena out.

Not going to lie, I am a bit upset summer is already over, I was having way to much fun with everyone, this was the first summer in a long time, that I've been truly happy, and it felt really nice.

But summer being over, means one thing, I'm about to be a collage student, nervous and excited at the same time, Caroline spent the summer, not only being in love with Nik, but also designing the color palette for our dorm room, the amount of arguments Rebekah and Caroline had over that did my head in, still love them though!

In all these good news, there is one bad news, Katherine Pierce is human. Yeap, you heard that right, apparently, Elena had stolen the cure from Ric's apartment, but before she could take it, Katherine attacked her, and the only way Elena could save herself was by turning Katherine human, honestly, I don't care, none of us do, we realise Katherine Pierce loved being a vampire, so for everything she did to me, to Damon, to Jeremy, her punishment is spending the rest of her life has a human, can't wait to see how that goes.

"I bought hot chocolate" Damon announced, entering the room.

"Thank you" Aria said, putting her diary on the bedside table and taking the hot chocolate from Damon.

"You're welcome" Damon said, kissing Aria's lips, making her smile, "You feeling okay?".

"Damon, I'm okay" Aria assured, "Stop worrying about me".

"Ria, you were nauseous, vampires don't feel nauseous" Damon said.

"But I'm not just a vampire" Aria reminded, "I genuinely think it was that questionable fish Kol bought".

"Who told you eat it then?" Damon asked, "Me and Jeremy didn't".

"I lost odds on" Aria defended.

Damon smiled, "I love you" he said suddenly.

Aria smiled, she scooted forward, and placed a kiss on Damon's lips, "I love you more Damon Salvatore".

Damon sighed, "I don't know how I'm supposed to function when you leave for collage tomorrow".

"You will be fine, I will call you everyday, and we will text non stop" Aria assured.

"You're seriously trading all this luxury for communal showers and a meal plan?" Damon asked.

"Mr. Salvatore, I'm going to collage for a normal experience, and remember, I'm always going to come back to you" Aria said, "No matter where I go".

"But you're leaving me alone with Kol and Jeremy" Damon complained.

"Two of your best friends" Aria teased, "By the way, what happened to you and Jeremy convincing Kol to attend collage with us?".

"He ran into his room, like the child he is, and refused to come out until we assured him he doesn't have to go, and he also threatened to burn Whitmore collage to the ground if we forced him to attend" Damon explained, with amusement in his voice.

Aria laughed, "Typical Kol behavior".

"Yeap" Damon said, "Now, how about we spent the rest of this night with me convincing you to stay here?".

Aria smiled, "What's the plan Mr. Salvatore?".

Damon didn't say anything, just lunged forward and kissed Aria.

"There were issues at home" Jeremy said, "Ever since I lost my parents, I've been acting out, drugs, drinking, I was looking for attention, so I lit my house on fire and faked my own death".

"You might want to say that the fire was an accident" Aria said.

"Or just blame it all on your ex-sister" Kol interjected.

"Or that" Aria said.

"Or I could not just go back, considering my school already had a memorial for me" Jeremy said.

"Caroline and Rebekah just pulled up" Damon announced, entering the living room with Aria's back.

"Tell them to wait" Aria said, "Look Jer, I get hating school, I hated it to remember, but look, you won't be alone, April will be there with you, and remember our deal, as soon as you figure out an alternative, you can drop out and chase your dreams, till then you have to go to school".

"Is this revenge for me forcing you to go to school?" Jeremy asked.

"Maybe" Aria joked, "But seriously Jer, you will be fine, and if your not then your cute little girlfriend will help you out".

"Okay, now that's settled, leave Ri" Kol teased.

"I get it, you three want to have the house to yourself" Aria teased, standing up, "For your cute little bromance".

Kol grabbed a cushion and threw at Aria, "Get out".

"That's my job" Aria said, throwing the cushion back at Kol.

"Okay, that's enough" Damon said, grabbing Aria's hand, "Time for you to leave for collage, where you're gonna drink cheap beer and protest things you don't care about, and me and Kol will take care of your best friend".

"More like he will take care of you two" Aria said.

"Exactly" Jeremy said.

"Rude" Kol commented.

"Alright" Aria said, grabbing her bag, "Remember, Whitmore's only a few hours away, if you need me, just call me".

"We will see you on laundry day" Jeremy said, hugging Aria.

"Don't kill each other" Aria told Kol.

"No promises" Kol said, hugging Aria, "Be safe, okay?".

"Always" Aria said, she then faced Damon, who was standing by the door, "So, you going to be able to handle long-distance?".

"Nope, personally I plan on forgetting about you the second you walk out the door" Damon teased.

"Funny, so do I" Aria teased, walking closer to Damon, "I'm thinking about finding a new boyfriend at Whitmore".

Damon narrowed his eye at his girlfriend, "No one will ever love you as much as me Aria Connor".

Aria smiled, "I know" she whispered, pulling Damon into a kiss, "I'm going to miss you".

"I'm going to miss you to" Damon admitted.

"Demon, let Aria go, we're getting late!" Caroline yelled, from the car, making both Aria and Damon laugh.

"I should go" Aria said.

"Yes you should" Damon said, opening the front door, "Off you go".

Aria stepped out of the house, but before Damon could close the door, she came back and hugged Damon, tightly.

Damon wrapped his arms around Aria, and hugged her back, equally as tight.

"I love you" Aria whispered.

"I love you to" Damon whispered back, kissing Aria's head.

"Collage!" Rebekah yelled excitedly, "We're in collage!".

"Yes we are!" Caroline yelled.

Aria laughed at her two best friends, "You two are way too excited for this".

"How are you not this excited?" Rebekah asked.

"I'm excited" Aria replied, "It's just--".

"Just what?" Caroline asked.

"I don't know Care, I feel weird" Aria replied, "I'm scared something bad is coming".

"Nothing bad is coming Aria" Caroline assured, "You're just feeling weird because you are no longer shacking it up with Damon".

"Hello, Mom ears, still here" Liz said, making the three girls laugh.

Caroline, Aria and Rebekah stood still for a moment and looked around the campus.

"We actually made it guys, we're here" Caroline said.

"We are starting a new chapter of life, and I couldn't be more happier that it's with you two" Aria said, tears welling her eyes.

"Aria, no crying" Rebekah said.

"I can't help it, I'm feeling very emotional" Aria said.

"If Aria doesn't cry in a happy moment, then is it really a happy moment?" Caroline teased.

"No" Aria and Rebekah said.

The three girls laughed, "Race you to our dorm" Aria said.

"Oh you're on" Rebekah said.

And with that the three girls, took off running towards their dorm room.

"You brought a panini press?" Rebekah asked Caroline.

"Small appliances by the fridge" Caroline replied simply.

"The mini fridge that Nik gifted her" Aria teased.

"Shut up" Caroline said, throwing a pillow towards Aria, making her and Rebekah laugh.

"Okay, that's the last one" Liz said, placing the last box in the dorm, "Alright you two, give me a goodbye hug before I change my mind and drag you two home with me".

Caroline and Aria smiled, they stepped forward and hugged Liz.

"Oh, you can call as much as you want, you know?" Liz said, feeling very emotional.

"Mom, we'll be fine" Caroline assured.

"Don't worry about us, just take care of yourself" Aria said, breaking the hug.

Liz nodded, she turned to a smiling Rebekah, "Come here".

Rebekah smiled and hugged Liz.

"Aria, did you know this is the place your mom and dad turned their high school friendship into love" Liz informed, after breaking the hug.

"Really?" Aria asked.

Liz nodded, "Both of them would be really proud to see their little princess here".

Aria smiled, "I hope so".

Liz looked between the three girls, really not wanting to leave them.

"Go, before I change my mind and make you stay" Caroline said.

"I'm going, I'm going, I love you" Liz told the three girls.

"We love you to" Caroline, Aria and Rebekah said, as Liz closed the door behind her.

"Care, why do we have four beds, there's only three of us" Aria said, after Liz left.

"I don't know, maybe they were feeling generous, and wanted us to have more space" Caroline said.

 "Anyways, roomies, I think we should drink to something" Rebekah said.

"I couldn't agree more, roomie" Caroline said, opening her suitcase up, and passing Rebekah and Aria a blood bag each.

"To us three, and our new chapter in collage" Aria toasted.

"To the next chapter in our life" Caroline said, cheering with her friends.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, causing the three girls to quickly hide the blood bags.

"Hi" A girl said, entering the room.

"Uh, who are you?" Caroline asked confused.

"I'm Megan, your roommate" Megan replied, shocking the three girls.

"What?" Damon asked through the phone, "Wait a minute, how'd that happen?".

"I don't know" Aria replied, "Maybe the housing office did a mix up".

"Compulsion, it's the ultimate unwanted-roommate repellent" Damon said.

"Caroline said the same thing and I told her no" Aria said, "I don't mind have another roommate".

"How about Rebekah and Caroline?" Damon asked.

"They keep glaring at her like they're gonna murder her" Aria replied, "Luckily, she's pretty oblivious to their looks".

"Then just compel her ass out the door" Damon said.

"Not happening, no compulsion, we are going to make a new friend on our first day of collage" Aria told Damon, and two best friends who were sitting on Caroline's bed.

"Look at you wanting to make a new friend" Damon teased.

"Shut up" Aria said, "How are Jeremy and Kol?".

"Jeremy's at school and Kol's somewhere being him" Damon replied.

Aria chuckled, "I wish you three luck when it comes to dealing with each other".

"We're not that bad Ria" Damon said.

"Clearly, you've not met you" Aria said, "Anyways, I will call you at night, I need to make sure Caroline and Rebekah don't kill Megan, I love you".

"Love you to" Damon said, hanging up.

After hanging up on Aria, Damon walked into the living room, and was shocked seeing the person there.

"It's been a long summer, Damon".

"Katherine" Damon said, glaring at the doppelganger infront of him.

"So your current boyfriend Damien--".

"Damon" Aria corrected, "Not Damien, never Damien".

"His brother was in love with you?" Megan asked, walking with the three girls.

"Apparently" Aria replied.

"Though he never did anything to prove it" Rebekah said.

"Do you two have a boyfriend?" Megan asked Rebekah and Caroline.

"Nope" Rebekah replied.

"I do, his name is Klaus" Caroline replied, making both Aria and Rebekah smile, "He lives in New Orleans".

"And Caroline misses him oh so much" Rebekah teased, making Aria laugh, and Caroline glare at her.

"Speaking of minding one's own business, let's talk roommate ground rules" Caroline said, stepping infront of Megan, "Privacy is very important to me".

"Same here" Megan said.

"I have low blood sugar, my diet's finicky, so keep your paws off my stuff" Caroline said.

"We'll split up the shelves" Megan assured.

"And if I suddenly get up to leave or disappear for a while, don't follow me or look for me" Caroline said.

"She's being too obvious, isn't she?" Aria whispered to Rebekah.

"Yeah, she is" Rebekah whispered back.

"Okay, sound good" Megan told Caroline.

"Alrighty" Aria said, before Caroline could add any more rules, "Now that is clear, what's the first thing on the agenda?".

"Excuse me, ladies" A guy said, walking over to the four girls, a flyer in hand, "Party at Whitmore House tonight".

Rebekah took the flyer from the guy, not noticing the way he was looking at her, but both Caroline and Aria did, causing them to exchange a knowing look.

"We'll be there" Caroline said.

"I hope so" The guy said, looking at Rebekah and then walking away.

"Someone has a crush on someone" Aria teased.

"Shut up" Rebekah said, a small smile on her face.

"I love collage" Caroline said, making the other three girls laugh.

"Don't touch our alcohol" Kol snapped, snatching the bourbon from Katherine's hand.

"Thanks for taking that away from me, my tolerance is a joke now" Katherine said, "It's just so glorious".

"You're miserable" Damon observed, her condition making him and Kol very happy.

"Please" Katherine said, "I'm Katherine Pierce, I'm a survivor".

"You're a bitch" Kol corrected.

"And a liar, your hair's messed up, your nails are chipped" Damon said, "You're a sad, miserable human being, and I'm guessing you're here to get one of us to turn you, because your boy toy Stefan has left town".

"Except, we're not going to" Kol said, "You deserve being miserable, perfect punishment if you ask me".

"Come on Damon, somewhere in that mushy, gushy, Aria-loving heart, there has to be a part of you that cares for me" Katherine said.

"I'm not Stefan, Katherine" Damon snapped, "You can't manipulate me".

Suddenly, Kol's phone started ringing, before he could answer it, Katherine picked it up and answered it.

"Salvatore residence" Katherine greeted, "Hello, Principal Weber, oh dear, we'll find him", Katherine hanged up and turned to the two angry vampires, "So Jeremy's been expelled, Aria will be cool with that, right?".

"You're human now" Kol whispered, "Meaning you don't heal".

Katherine looked at Kol in vary, "Kol--".

Before Katherine could finish her sentence, Kol speeded over to Katherine, and quickly broke her arm, making her scream in pain.

"Oh that felt good" Kol said, letting Katherine fall to the floor, "Next time, don't touch my phone".

"When we get back, you're gone" Damon said.

"Wait" Katherine pleaded, clutching her arm, "There's someone chasing me".

"Then run, run far away" Damon said.

"Isn't that what you're good at?" Kol asked.

"You don't understand" Katherine snapped, "I have enemies everywhere, what happens when word gets out that I'm a human? I can't protect myself, I'm weak, and I'm slow, do you have any idea what it's like to run in heels? I have blisters, please just--help me".

Damon and Kol looked at each other then back at Katherine, Kol bent down and glared at Katherine, "If you're not gone by the time we are back, then this mystery enemy will be the least of your problem, because then I will come after you, right now, I've only broken your arm, next time, I will rip your bloody heart out".

Aria stood infront of the mirror and looked at herself, something felt different, for some reason she felt different, Caroline slamming Megan's drawer, broke Aria out of her trance.

"Did you two notice how Megan's juicer takes up all the small-appliance space?" Caroline asked, "She has an entire drawer dedicated to organic linen".

"Care, you literally gave Megan a huge lecture on privacy and now you're invading hers" Aria said.

"Maybe if she didn't take such long showers I wouldn't have time to go through her stuff" Caroline retorted, "And how are you two okay with a fourth roommate?".

"I'm not" Rebekah replied, laying on her bed.

"Come on guys, we're in collage now, we can't just stick to each other, we need to make new friends" Aria said, laying next to Rebekah.

"But we also need personal space" Caroline said, "I mean what if I suddenly get a craving and I want to eat her?".

"You're not going to eat her, your the most functional vampire I know" Aria replied.

"Fine, what if Rebekah wants to eat her?" Caroline asked.

"Hey, I have control" Rebekah replied.

"Okay, what if our blood bags go bad because we can't store them in the mini fridge?" Caroline asked.

"True, I don't like spoiled blood" Rebekah said.

Caroline opened the mini fridge, "And what the hell is protein water?" she asked, taking out one of Megan's water bottle.

"I don't know" Aria replied, shaking her head at her best friend.

"You know what?" Caroline said, "Maybe if I drink it all, she'll want to move out".

"Care, wait" Aria said.

But it was too late, Caroline had already drank the water, then spit it right back out, she fell to the floor in a coughing fit, confusing both Aria and Rebekah.

"Care" Aria said, kneeling next Caroline, "You okay?".

"Vervain" Caroline whispered, shocking both Aria and Rebekah.

"She knows" Rebekah realised.

"What's going on?" Megan asked, coming out of the bathroom, "Are you okay?" she asked Caroline, who was still on the floor.

"She's fine" Rebekah said, helping Caroline stand up.

"What happened?" Megan asked.

"Water just went down the wrong pipe" Caroline replied, "I'm okay really, I shouldn't have touched your stuff, I'm really sorry".

"It's fine" Megan assured, taking the bottle of water back from Caroline, "It just sounded like someone was dying out here, well, I'm glad you're okay".

While Caroline and Rebekah talked to Megan, Aria suddenly started feeling nauseous, she put her hand over her mouth and quickly ran to the bathroom, shocking the three girls.

"Aria!" Caroline and Rebekah yelled, running after the tribrid.

Aria sat infront of the toilet and started vomiting, Caroline and Rebekah quickly went to her, Caroline held Aria's hair back, while Rebekah rubbed her back.

"You okay?" Rebekah asked, after Aria finally stopped vomiting.

"I'm fine" Aria whispered, not feeling fine at all.

"What's happening to you?" Caroline asked, placing a damp towel over Aria's head.

"I don't know" Aria admitted.

"You need to go see a doctor Aria, this is the second time this is happening" Rebekah said.

"I can't just go to any doctor Rebekah" Aria said.

"I can call Meredith here" Caroline said, "She knows what you are, she can do a proper check up on you without asking any questions".

"Fine, just don't tell Damon, I don't want him to worry" Aria said.

"Fine" Caroline said, helping Aria stand up.

"I need to brush my teeth" Aria said, walking over to the sink.

"Brush your teeth, then straight in bed" Rebekah said, "You need rest".

Aria didn't say anything, she simply nodded, she was to exhausted to argue.

"You should have stayed in bed Aria" Caroline said, as her, Rebekah and Aria walked to the party at Whitmore house.

"Care, I'm fine, I had a nap and now I feel back to normal" Aria assured.

"You sure?" Rebekah asked, "Because it's not too late to turn back".

"Guys, stop worrying, I'm fine" Aria assured.

"Hey, I remember you".

The three best friends turned around to see the guy who invited them to this party, standing behind them.

"Flyer guy" Caroline greeted.

"Jesse, technically, but the flyer guy works too" Jesse said.

"I'm Aria" Aria introduced.

"And I'm Caroline, and that's our best friend Rebekah" Caroline introduced.

"Nice to meet you" Jesse told Rebekah.

"Hi" Rebekah said simply, before walking away, confusing Jesse.

"She's homesick" Caroline lied, before her and Aria quickly ran to Rebekah.

"He has a crush on you, the least you can do is be polite" Aria said.

"I'm not interested Aria" Rebekah said, as they walked up the stairs.

"Why not?" Caroline asked.

"I want to settle in collage, before thinking about a relationship" Rebekah replied.

"But his so nice" Aria said.

"Then you have him" Rebekah said.

"If I didn't have a boyfriend, that I very much love, then maybe I would have" Aria said.

As the three girls tried to step in the Whitmore house, an invisible barrier stopped them.

"What the hell?" Caroline whispered confused.

"Someone owns this place" Rebekah realised, "We have to be invited in by the owner".

"Hey, I was wondering if you guys were gonna make it" Megan said, walking over to the girls.

"You guys going in, or--?" Jesse asked.

"Go ahead" Aria replied, as Jesse walked past them.

"Why are you just standing there?" Megan asked, confused.

"Oh umm, I still feel a bit nauseous" Aria lied, "And they don't want to leave me when I'm sick, so we were thinking of going back to the dorm, this crowd is making me even more sick".

"Right, well, I'm gonna go hang, hope you feel better soon Aria" Megan said, walking away from the girls.

"She knows" Caroline said, once Megan was gone.

"I agree" Rebekah said.

"One day" Damon said, walking over to Jeremy, who was sitting in the Grill, "One day where you don't screw it up".

"Leave me alone, Damon" Jeremy snapped.

"What happened Jeremy?" Kol asked, slightly concerned, "Why did you beat those guys up?".

"You're lucky you didn't put one of those idiots in I.C.U" Damon said.

"I should have" Jeremy snapped.

"You got expelled, genius" Damon snapped back.

"Does that mean I don't have to go back to school?" Jeremy asked.

"I compelled Principal Weber into a very generous three-day suspension" Damon replied, "Aria does not need to know about this".

"Now can we go back to the main topic, why did you beat those kids up?" Kol asked.

Before Jeremy could reply, someone walked behind Damon and Kol.

"Hello, Damon".

Damon turned around and looked at the person in shock, "Stefan".

"No" Kol said, banging his head on the table, "Just no".

"What a nice welcome" Stefan said sarcastically, "So no hug?".

"How about a stake?" Kol asked, glaring at the younger Salvatore, "In the heart".

"Oh, Kol, you're always such a pleasure to talk to" Stefan said sarcastically, "By the way, where's Aria, she is usually with the two of you".

"Don't" Damon warned, standing up and facing his brother, "Don't you dare mention Aria's name from your mouth".

"Relax, Damon" Stefan said, patting Damon's shoulder, "I mean her no harm".

"Now why do I find that hard to believe?" Damon asked.

Stefan didn't say anything just smiled, "It's good to be home".

"Okay, it's settled, when she leaves, we grab her" Caroline said.

"Or we could just let her be, Care she knows I wasn't well, she was there, I don't think she doubts us" Aria said.

"Aria, she saw us stuck at the threshold, we might as well have flashed her our fangs" Caroline said.

"You're being dramatic" Aria said, "This collage is full of thousands of freshman's, out of all of those people, what's the chance of us randomly being roommates with a girl who knows about vampires?".

"What if it wasn't random?" Rebekah asked.

Before Aria could say anything, her phone started ringing, "It's Megan".

"Don't answer it" Caroline said.

Aria rolled her eyes at her sister, she ignored her and answered her phone, "Hey Megan".

"Aria, you have to help me" A panicked Megan said through the phone, alerting the three vampires, "He's chasing me".

"Who?" Aria asked confused, "Who's chasing you Megan?".

"Help me!" Megan yelled, "Oh, my god".

The three girls looked up at the building when they heard the windows rattling.

"Megan, the line's too long, we won't be able to make it inside" Aria lied, "Come out, we can help you".

"Aria, please help me!" Megan yelled.

"Megan? Can you hear me?" Caroline asked, grabbing Aria's phone, "Just get outside and we can help you".

As the three girls were walking towards the building, they let out a scream when a body fell behind them.

"Megan" Aria said, kneeling infront of the girl, she removed the hair from her neck, to reveal a bite mark.

"Who did this to her?" Caroline asked confused.

"That's a vampire bite" Rebekah said.

"We're not the only vampires here" Aria realised.

"Damon!" Kol yelled, entering the Salvatore house with Jeremy, "Damon, where the hell are you?!".

Jeremy and Kol entered the Salvatore's living room to see Damon standing infront of the fireplace.

"Are you deaf?" Kol asked, "I've been calling you, why did you leave us at the Grill?".

Damon turned around, "Hello, Jeremy, Kol".

"Why are you saying hello to us?" Jeremy asked confused.

"You never say hello to us, it's bloody weird, never do that again" Kol replied.

"My bad, I thought that's how people greeted each other" Damon said.

"Why are you talking so weird?" Kol asked.

"I'm being polite" Damon defended.

"But you're never polite" Jeremy said confused.

"Who the hell are you two talking to?".

Kol and Jeremy turned around in shock when they heard Damon's voice behind them.

"Jeremy, pinch me" Kol said, looking between the two Damon's in shock.

Jeremy didn't waste any time in pinching Kol.

"Ow!" Kol yelled, "Why did you pinch me?".

"You told me to" Jeremy replied, "By the way, are you seeing two Damon's right now, or am I tripping?".

"If you're tripping then so am I" Kol replied.

Damon looked behind Jeremy and Kol, and was shocked seeing a man with his face standing behind them.

"Who the hell are you?" Damon asked confused.

"We've actually met before Damon, my name is Damien, your ancestor" Damien replied, "I think it's time us three have a chat".

"You don't say" Damon said.

"What is happening?" Rebekah asked confused, as the coroners took Megan's body away.

"Our roommate was killed by a vampire Rebekah, that's what is happening" Aria replied.

"We don't know what she knew or who she told" Caroline said, "We should get out of here".

"Hey, girls, I'm Diane Freeman, head of campus security, are you okay?" Diane asked, walking over to the girls before they could leave.

"I think so" Aria replied.

"I understand Megan was your roommate" Diane said, "I'm so sorry you had to find her like this".

"Do they know what happened to her?" Rebekah asked.

"We found a note, apparently, she was struggling with severe depression" Diane replied.

"A note?" Aria asked confused.

"Your roommate took her own life" Diane clarified.

"You think this was a suicide?" Caroline asked shocked.

"We're convinced it was a suicide" Diane replied, "But we can't seem to find her cell phone, have you seen it?".

Rebekah and Aria looked at Caroline, knowing she had taken it, "No" Caroline said quickly.

"Okay" Diane said, "If it turns up, let us know?".

"Of course" Aria replied.

"What the bloody hell is going on?" Rebekah asked confused, after Diane had walked away.

"Doppelganger?" Kol asked shocked, "You're Damon's doppelganger?".

"Damon is my doppelganger" Damien corrected.

"And Stefan is Silas's doppelganger?" Jeremy asked.

"Yes" Damien replied, "I'm surprised no one put the pieces together, I mean you guys knew that Elena is Amara's doppelganger, while Aria is Adriana's, and you and Stefan are mine and Silas's descendants, how did you not figure out that you are also doppelgangers?".

"Because it's bloody bizarre, that's why" Kol replied.

"If I hear the word doppelganger one more time I think I'm gonna actually have to learn how to spell it" Damon snapped.

"You don't believe me" Damien realised.

"You're right, I don't believe you" Damon said.

Damien sighed, "Damon, me and Adriana were the first ever soulmates, it was a gift from the universe who saw how much we loved each other, but when Adriana died, our love story was left incomplete, and the universe couldn't have that, so it retailed by creating versions of us that will complete their love story, but till now, no version of us has been able to complete their love story due to the doppelgangers of Silas and Amara".

"If the universe wanted your and Adriana's versions to reunite, then why create versions of Silas and Amara?" Jeremy asked confused.

"Adriana's death started a curse on both our bloodlines, the curse made it so versions of Silas and Amara were born every time a version of me or Adriana was born, not the universe" Damien explained.

"That doesn't make sense" Damon said, "You said, every time a version of you is born, a version of Adriana is born, a thousand years ago, Ariana was born, but there was no version of you there, and in 1864, when I was human, there was no version of Adriana, and in this time, when Aria was born, there is no version of you anywhere".

"That's where you are wrong Damon" Damien said, "After me and Adriana, the next soulmates that were born were Ariana and Dallas, I'm sorry Kol, but Ariana was never yours to begin with, if she had survived Tatia, she would have found her way to Dallas".

Both Jeremy and Damon glanced at Kol, who was looking down at the floor.

"Kol--".

"It's fine Damon" Kol assured, a small smile on his face, "Honestly, I'm not surprised by this, I know how deep yours and Ri's love goes, I'm not upset".

"You sure?" Damon asked.

"I'm sure" Kol assured, he then turned to Damien, "Ariana was killed by Tatia, a version of Amara, but what happened to Dallas?".

"Dallas was killed by his brother, Sean" Damien replied.

"Sean? Was he a version of Silas?" Jeremy asked, Damien nodded.

"Who were the soulmates after Ariana and Dallas?" Damon asked.

"Avery Connor and Damon Salvatore" Damien replied, shocking everyone in the room.

"What?" Damon asked shocked.

"You and Aria were never made for each other, your soulmate was Avery, you had met her once, you know" Damien replied.

"I think I would remember if I met a girl who looked like Aria" Damon snapped.

"When you met her, you didn't see her face, but you did feel something for her though" Damien said.

"I don't remember" Damon said.

"That's fine" Damien said, "You will remember eventually".

"What happened to Avery?" Jeremy asked.

"She was murdered, by Katherine Pierce" Damien replied, making Damon clutch his fists tightly.

"And Damon was forced to turn into a vampire by Stefan" Jeremy mumbled.

"I'm seeing the pattern here" Kol said.

"Who were the next soulmates?" Damon asked.

"Aria Connor and Dean Avery" Damien replied.

"There's human Damon walking around somewhere?" Kol asked shocked, Damien simply nodded.

"But if Aria was meant for Dean, then how did Aria and Damon turn into soulmates?" Jeremy asked confused.

"Before Aria could meet Dean, she met Damon, as soon as Damon and Aria had come in contact with each other, their soulmates changed" Damien replied, "The universe just wants true love to win, it doesn't care how".

"So wait, does that mean there's a human Stefan walking around as well?" Jeremy asked.

"Tom Avery, Dean's brother" Damien replied.

"Let's get these stories straight" Kol said, "The first soulmates were you and Adriana, who were screwed over by Silas and Amara, the second soulmates were Ariana and Dallas who were screwed over by Tatia and Sean, the third soulmates were Avery and Damon who were screwed over by Katherine and Stefan, and the fourth soulmates were meant to be Aria and Dean, and Elena and Tom were supposed to screw them over, but that plan changed because Aria and Damon met before Dean and Aria could".

"Correct" Damien said.

"Am I the only one struggling with all this information?" Jeremy asked.

"Nope" Kol replied, "I'm in the same boat".

"How do you know all this anyways?" Jeremy asked.

"Because while I was stone, I had the pleasure of watching everything happen" Damien replied, a bitter tone in his voice.

"Why tell us this?" Damon asked, "Why come here now?".

"Because I need your help" Damien said, "My brother Silas is back".

"Not possible, Aria turned him into stone" Kol said.

"Silas used the Bennett witch's death, to bring himself back" Damien said.

"Bonnie's dead?" Jeremy asked shocked.

"Expression killed her" Damien replied.

"Yes!" Kol yelled, "That's what she gets".

"How did Bonnie's death bring Silas back?" Damon asked confused.

"My brother knew Aria was capable of stopping him, so he manipulated Bonnie, into linking her life with his, so when she died, he would be awake again" Damien replied, "Let's just say my brother was done with sleeping for thousands of years".

"What do you want from us exactly?" Damon asked.

"Help me find Katherine before Silas does" Damien replied, "I cannot let Silas reunite with Adriana, she deserves better, but I can't stop him alone".

"What does Silas want from Katherine?" Kol asked.

"Katherine's blood is the cure, if my brother takes the cure, he will no longer be immortal, he will be a witch again" Damien replied, "And I can not let that happen, so Damon, will you help me or not?".

Damon looked at Damien, "Promise me one thing".

"What?" Damien asked.

"No matter what happens, doesn't matter if you have to die, or if I have to die for it, Aria doesn't get hurt" Damon replied.

Damien smiled, "That was the plan all along Damon, I assure you I will die myself then let either Aria or you die, after all, I'm kind of relying on you to break the curse on mine and Adriana's bloodline".

Damon nodded, "Then you have yourself a deal, I will help you stop Silas".

"We all will" Kol interjected, Jeremy nodded in agreement.

Aria, Caroline and Rebekah walked back to their dorm room, reaching the room, the girls were shocked seeing their door opened, the girls exchanged confused looks and slowly entered their dorm.

"Someone's been in here" Rebekah said.

"Megan's tablet is gone" Caroline realised.

"Along with the so called suicide note she wrote" Aria said, "Pass the phone Care, there has to be something on it that can help us figure Megan's mystery out".

"It just doesn't make any sense" Caroline said, handing Megan's phone to Aria, "First, the roommate we're not supposed to have might know about vampires and then happens to be killed by a vampire, and now the school's covering it up?".

"Are we sure it's the school that's covering it up and not the vampire who killed her?" Rebekah asked.

"That's the problem Rebekah, we don't know anything" Caroline replied.

"Uh, guys" Aria said, looking at the phone in shock, "I have a feeling a me and Megan might have a connection".

"What?" Rebekah asked confused.

Aria showed the photo she found on Megan's phone to Caroline and Rebekah, "That's Megan, with Grayson dad" Aria informed.

"And things just got weirder" Rebekah said.

"Hey" Damon greeted.

"Hey" Aria said, "Everything okay, you didn't answer my call at first".

"Everything's fine" Damon assured, sitting on his bed, and looking down at a photo of him and Aria, it was a photo of Damon and Aria, dancing at the Miss Mystic Fall pageant, Caroline had framed it for the couple, "I just miss you".

"I miss you to" Aria said, "So, so much".

"Do you wanna come home then?" Damon asked.

"I wish" Aria replied, "But I found something out tonight, and I need to figure it out, I can't just leave Rebekah and Caroline alone with it".

"I found some thing out to" Damon said.

"What did you find out?" Aria asked curiously.

"That I love you, more then anything in this world" Damon replied, laying down on his bed.

Aria smiled, "I thought you figured that out, long time ago" she said, also laying back on her bed.

"I realise it more and more everyday Ria" Damon said.

Aria chuckled, "If it's any consolation, I love you at lot, like a lot, a lot".

"You tired?" Damon asked, as Aria let out a yawn.

"Yeah" Aria replied, her eyes closing, "Don't hang up though".

"I'm right here" Damon assured.

"See you in my dreams Damon" Aria whispered, slowly falling asleep.

Damon smiled, "See you in my dreams Ria".
