15. We're Planning A June Wedding

Damon, Aria, Caroline and Kol sat together in the Salvatore's living room.

"All right, professor, how do we get rid of the queen of hell?" Damon asked Alaric through his phone.

"Are you sure Katherine's in our world?" an extremely worried Alaric asked.

"Yeap" Aria confirmed, "When Cade stepped out of hell after the eleventh ring of the bell, other souls could do the same thing, just like Sebastian did, there's no way Katherine didn't jump at that chance to leave hell and reenter our world".

"Then why haven't we seen her yet?" Caroline asked, "I thought by now she'd be strutting around, making demands, or trying to get us all killed".

"She's probably bidding her time" Kol suggested.

"Or putting her own plan together" Damon suggested.

"Either way, you're gonna need a new weapon" Dorian said, in the armory with Alaric.

"So what have you guys come up with?" Caroline asked Alaric and Dorian.

"Cade was killed with a dagger that was made from his bones" Dorian reminded, "It was fused into glass by a white-hot flame, first things first, though, I don't suppose you know where Katherine's bones are?".

"Oh, who'd have ever thought she'd have done us a favor?" Damon said, "We've got every last one of Katherine's bones in the cave, underneath the old church, left over from a traveler barbecue she had when she tried to possess Aria".

"But how the hell do we make a weapon that has her fused bones into glass?" a confused Aria asked.

"How about putting the bone into a metal dagger?" Klaus suggested, also at the armory with Alaric and Dorian.

"That could work" Aria realised.

"Kol and I will go on bone-fetching duty" Damon stated.

"Dorian and I will research an alternative to fight her" Alaric said.

"See, if Katherine's back, that means hell still exists" Dorian realised, "We need to figure out a way to break her link to hell".

"Psychic dimensions like hell, and the one I accidentally created, they are tied to an individuals emotional trauma" Aria informed, "Cade created hell when he was burned alive at the stake, mine was created when I lost my mother at the witches house, maybe there's a way to not only destroy the link but to destroy the dimension itself, if we destroy hell, we more then likely destroy Katherine".

"Great, you guys are on Hail Mary miracle duty so how do the rest of us get Katherine to show herself?" a confused Caroline asked.

"That's easy" Kol said, "Katherine's biggest regret is not being able to end the Connor bloodline, she has a personal vendetta against Ri because she was the one Connor witch she could never kill, Ri's happiness brings Katherine immense anger, so if we want to bring Katherine out, we need to shove Ri's happiness in her face".

"Your point?" a confused Caroline asked.

"My point is that we shove the fact that while Katherine never got her happily ever after, the one person she probably despises the most after Nik, did" Kol replied, "We throw the wedding of the century, a wedding Katherine will never miss".

"I'm sorry, what?!"  a shocked Aria asked.

"Congratulations Ri, you and Damon are getting married!" Kol said, giving the tribrid a huge smile, while Damon and Aria looked at each other in shock, this was not how they wanted their wedding to be.

"So, have you started preparing the vows?" Kol asked Damon as the two vampires entered the cave together.

"Shut up, Kol" Damon said, walking infront of Kol, a torch in his hand.

"You do realise that Ri and Caroline are probably already rehearsing Ri's vows, right?" Kol asked.

"You are way too happy for the wedding of the women you love to another man" Damon commented.

Kol shrugged, "Everyone knew this was coming, granted no one thought it would be this last minute, but still, this was what the universe wanted".

Damon groaned in annoyance, "I hate the universe talk" he stated, making Kol chuckle, "And just so you know, me and Aria being together isn't because of the universe, the universe made us have completely different soulmates, whatever we have, is because of us, not some stupid universe crap".

Kol chuckled, "True".

"Mhmm" Damon said, as the duo arrived where Katherine's bones were, "Hey, did you know you can get ordained online? Did it this morning, you are looking at a bona fide justice of the peace", Damon opened the gate and groaned seeing Katherine's bones, "Rise and shine, kitty cat", Damon grabbed Katherine's skull and pretended it was speaking, "Hi, I'm Katherine, the bitch that will destroy your lives for all eternity!".

"Get some help" Kol said.

"You first" Damon retorted.

Kol rolled his eyes at his best friend, "Look, just grab what we need so we can get out of this disgusting place" he said, placing his bag on the concrete slab and proceeding to place Katherine's bones into the bag.

"It's pretty fitting though" Damon commented, "The woman that started this whole mess in my life is back to try and end it".

"I wouldn't say everything in your life was a mess" Kol said.

"What are you talking about?" Damon asked, "Look at the path that she sent me down, murder sprees, the cure, Silas, the other side, prison worlds, Gemini twins, heretics, and don't get me started on doppelgangers".

"You don't get to say anything about doppelgangers, you're a doppelganger yourself" Kol reminded.

"Ugh, don't remind me" Damon said, shaking his head in disgust.

Kol shook his head, "Oh before I forget, I bought you something" he said, pulling out a bottle of bourbon from his bag, making Damon look at him in confusion, "This is the only time we're going to have time for bachelor party, so Salvatore, welcome to your bachelor party".

A chuckling Damon took the bottle from Kol's hand and opened it and took a massive swig out of it, he then grabbed Katherine's skull, "Oh, you can celebrate with us, too" he said, pouring the bourbon on to Katherine's skull and making chugging sounds, he then turned to Kol, "Where's the exotic dancers?".

"You're a father of three, you don't get exotic dancers" Kol stated, taking the bottle from Damon's hand and taking a sip out of it.

Aria walked into the Salvatore's living room, on her phone, trying to contact either Damon or Kol to know where they were, when her eyes landed on a note placed on the side table.

For The Bride.

A small smile formed on Aria's face seeing the note, she figured this was something from Damon, she opened the note and read what was printed on it.

Something Old. Something New.
Something Borrowed.
Something Blue.

Aria looked at the note in slight confusion, not understanding why something old was circled, and what did Damon mean by something borrowed, not wanting to think too much about it, Aria placed the note back on the table and went to grab the small box that was hidden behind the note, but before she could open it, her attention was drawn towards the front door.

"Spoiler alert" Aria heard Kol say, as he and Damon entered the boarding house, with him supporting a drunk Damon, "I might have let your soon to be husband have too much to drink".

Aria looked at the scene infront of her in slight shock, "I don't remember the last time I saw Damon drunk".

"Well, today is your lucky day" Kol said, as Aria walked over to him and helped him with Damon.

"How much did you let him drink?" Aria asked, as her and Kol laid Damon on to the couch.

"I drank one whole bottle, but I lost count of how many bottles Damon drank" a sheepish Kol admitted.

Aria shook her head at the two vampires, "Why are you two drunk again?" she asked, "I thought you had gone to get Katherine's bones".

"Don't worry, we got her bones" Kol assured, "And I know this is a impromptu wedding, so I figured Damon deserved a impromptu bachelors party".

"Ria" Damon whispered, gaining Aria's attention, who immediately kneeled by the sofa and grabbed Damon's hand in hers.

"Hey, Damon" Aria whispered.

Damon opened his eyes and looked at his fiance, "Are you mad at me?".

Aria shook her head, "No, I'm not mad at you, it's okay to have fun sometimes, Damon".

Damon smiled at Aria, "I love you".

Aria smiled, "I love you too".

"I'm going to go to sleep now" Damon whispered, closing his eyes again.

Aria chuckled, "Okay, you do that".

"Well, now that Damon has celebrated his bachelors party, it's your turn next" Kol stated, as Aria stood up and faced the original vampire.

"Girls have bachelorettes parties, with their girlfriends, and my two friends are currently too busy planning my last minute wedding to have time for a bachelorette party" Aria retorted.

Kol put his arm around Aria's shoulder, "That's why you have me".

"Kol, you're not a girl" Aria teased.

"No" Kol agreed, "But I am your best guy friend".

"I think Nik and Jeremy might disagree with that" Aria said.

"Let them disagree, I don't care, we both know the truth" Kol said, making Aria chuckle, "Now come on, let me treat you to a Kol Mikaelson style party, it's your last night as a single girl, it's the least you deserve for having to put up with Damon Salvatore for the rest of eternity".

"I dare you to say that to his face" Aria teased.

"Oh, I will" Kol said, making Aria laugh, "Now come on, time to get drunk".

"I'm a horrible drunk though" Aria complained, as Kol grabbed her hand and both the vampires started walking towards the front door.

"I know" Kol laughed, "Tonight is going to be great, drunk Damon and Aria, a treat for everyone".

"This is where you want to celebrate your bachelorette's?" an amused Kol asked Aria, as the two entered the Salvatore's crypt.

"Yeap" Aria replied.

"Why?" a confused Kol asked.

Aria shrugged, "I don't know, maybe cause I'm a former witch who is dead, this place feels right at home".

Kol chuckled, "You're one weird tribrid, Ria".

"Thank you" Aria said, taking a small bow, "Now come on, where's the alcohol?".

"Right here" Kol said, showing the bottle of bourbon that was in his hand to Aria, the tribrid took the bottle from Kol's hand and after opening it took a massive swig out of it, making Kol give her an impressed look, in return Aria simply shrugged and handed the bottle over to Kol, "Let's toast".

"To what?" a confused Aria asked.

"To you" Kol replied, he held his bottle up, "To Ri, the woman who became my best friend in another life and this life".

"Technically in the other life we were supposed be married" Aria reminded.

"But we started off as friends" Kol retorted.

Aria chuckled, "True" she then stared at the bottle in her hand for a moment, before turning to Kol, "I never really told you how much you mean to me".

"Ri, this is your night, not mine, you can tell me this some other time" Kol said.

Aria shook her head, "No, I need to say this now" she said, "Kol Mikaelson, you gave me a second life, whenever I fell, you picked me up, you loved my kids so much, you never made it seem like they weren't yours, I don't say this often, but you need to know that I love you, maybe not the way I love Damon, but you are very special to me, and whenever you need me, I promise, you'll find me by your side, just like you've always been my mine, and I also need you to know, just because me and Damon are now getting married, it doesn't mean your role in the triplets life has lessened, they are three extremely lucky kids who get to call two extremely incredible men their dads".

Kol looked at Aria, slightly emotional, deciding no words were going to be enough to express what he was feeling, Kol instead decided to pull Aria into a tight hug, who gladly hugged him, knowing he was feeling too overwhelmed for words right now.

Next morning, Aria entered the bridal room at the venue her and Damon were getting married at, which just so happens to the same place that holds the Miss Mystic Falls event each year.

Aria hanged her dress on the wall and took a deep breath, the closer they got to her and Damon's special moment, the more she felt her nerves take over, she knew this wedding was a way to get Katherine out of her hiding place, but a major part of her hoped Katherine doesn't show up tonight, and her and Damon manage to get married tonight without any hindrance.

Aria walked over to the dresser where Caroline and Rebekah had placed all her jewellery, including the small box Aria had received yesterday from Damon, a box she never got to open till now.

Aria grabbed the box in her hand, opening it, she saw a blue necklace that a silhouette of a woman was engraved on top of it, Aria picked it up and examined the necklace, but before she could take a closer look, she was interrupted.

"Mom!".

"Ari!".

"RiRi!".

Aria looked towards the entrance of the room and a huge smile formed on her face seeing Mia, Hope and Nova running towards her.

"Hey, girls" a smiling Aria greeted, kneeling on the ground and pulling the three girls into a hug, "You three look amazing in your matching flower girls outfits", Aria looked behind the girls and her smile widen seeing her sister standing there, looking at the scene with a smile on her face, "You got them ready early".

"Yeah I figured getting ready them first would give me more time to help you get ready" Caroline said.

Aria looked at the three girls in worry, the three girls who were now busy with the flower petals, "Care, are we sure the kids are going to be safe?".

"They're all going to be okay" Caroline assured, "Kai is here, he couldn't miss your and Damon's wedding and he did a protection spell around the six kids, no matter what they will be safe".

"Remind me to bake Kai some cupcakes" Aria said.

"He did say that was going to be his payment" Caroline said, making Aria laugh.

"Where are the boys?" a curious Aria asked.

"They're with the guys" Caroline informed, Aria nodded her head.

"Mom, can I help you get ready?" a very excited Mia asked.

Aria smiled, "I would love nothing more".

"We're going to make Ari look so pretty!" Hope said, jumping up and down.

"Yes we are" a suddenly emotionally Caroline said.

Aria turned to her sister, "Care, are you crying?".

"I can't help it" Caroline said, tears welling in her eyes, "I've been there since the beginning, I've seen you and Damon go through everything, from the first time you guys met, to your first kiss, to your first fight, to your first I love you, to the time you two became parents, and now I get to watch you two have your happily ever after, how can I not be emotional?".

"Care, you're making me emotional" Aria laughed, tears welling in her eyes as well, she then walked over to her sister and pulled her into a tight hug, "I love you so much Care, and I'm so happy that I have you with me here today".

"There's no way else I'd rather be, Aria" Caroline whispered, hugging her sister back tightly, "Always be happy Aria".

Kol walked into the room where Damon was with Asher, Alec and Jayden, a small chuckle left his lips seeing Damon, Alec and Asher, standing infront of the mirror and setting their hair.

Kol looked towards Jayden, who was sitting on the couch, bored out of his mind.

"They've been sitting there hair for hours" an annoyed Jayden complained.

"Don't lie Jay" Asher said, "It's been minutes".

"Asher, Alec, your hair is fine, you three need to now go to the venue, Nik is waiting for you guys" Kol said.

Alec turned to Kol, "Are you sure my hair looks fine?" he asked, "I can't have bad hair on my own parents wedding".

Both Damon and Kol chuckled at Alec's words, "You don't have bad hair Alec, you're a Salvatore, your hair always looks amazing" Damon assured.

"You sure?" a skeptic Alec asked.

"Yes, he's sure" Kol said, "Now come on you three, off you go".

"See you at the alter, dad" Alec said, rushing out the room.

"Don't be late" Asher warned.

"Yeah, you can't keep Ari waiting" Jayden said.

"I won't" Damon assured the two boys, who after giving Damon a nod followed after Alec.

After the boys left, Kol turned to Damon, "Do you have--".

Before Kol could even finish his sentence, Damon opened the side of his jacket and showed Kol the dagger made out of Katherine's bones.

"Are you sure you want to be the one to hold on to that?" Kol asked.

Damon nodded his head, "It's my wedding, I get the honors of getting rid of her".

Kol walked behind Damon, "Nervous?".

Damon looked at Kol through the mirror, "Extremely" he said, "Is it bad if I admit I'm kind of hoping Katherine doesn't show up tonight?".

"Trust me, I think everyone present here is hoping she doesn't show up" Kol said, "We know this wedding is a trap of Katherine, but everyone also wants you and Ri to finally get the ending you two deserve".

Damon gave Kol a small smile, he then took a deep breath and fixed his suit, hoping this wedding becomes everything Aria has ever dreamed of.

Damon and Kol walked down the stairs and towards the alter, which was out in the open, Alec, Asher, Jayden walking infront of them, with Klaus waiting at the alter, having been tasked with officiating the wedding, and Elijah, Finn, Enzo, Kai also standing there as part of the groomsman, Kol being the best man.

"I think Elijah might have gone a bit overboard with the compelled guests" Kol whispered to Damon, while looking around and seeing so many strangers.

"Well, I mean, Kol, it had to look authentic" Damon pointed out, "Katherine knows Rebekah and Caroline will not let Ria have a small, intimate gathering".

"Something she would love though" Kol said.

"So would I, but neither of us can fight Caroline and Rebekah" Damon said.

"True" a chuckling Kol said, as the duo and the three boys arrived at the alter.

"Ready?" Finn asked Damon.

"As I'll ever be" a slightly nervous Damon said.

Klaus patted Damon's shoulder, "You've got this".

"Just remember, if you're vows are not good, Aria has the full right to run away" Kai said, making everyone shake his head at him, "What? I'm trying to help him".

"Mate, I'm not so sure that's helping anyone" Enzo said.

"Just be yourself Damon, because that's the man Aria fell for" Elijah said, making Damon give him a understanding nod.

"You girls will go infront of Aria, and then Ric will walk Aria down the aisle, and it will all be fine" a slightly panicked Caroline told the three girls.

"You're panicking" Aria pointed out, coming out of the bathroom with a robe on, her hair and make up done by Caroline.

"How are you not panicking?" Caroline asked.

"Because we're not all like you, Caroline".

Caroline and Aria looked towards the entrance and both smiled seeing Rebekah entering the room with Lizzie and Josie, "Am I late?".

"No" Aria said, shaking her head slightly while a smile formed on her face, "You're right on time".

"Mom, you ready?" a eager Mia asked.

Aria looked between Caroline and Rebekah, she then looked behind Caroline to see her mom standing there, someone only she could see.

"I'm ready" Aria said, feeling emotional while she looked at her equally emotional mother, "Everyone I love is here, I'm finally ready to get married to the love of my life".

The groom and groomsman were standing at the alter talking among themselves.

"Dad" Asher said, gaining Damon's attention, he then pointed towards the stairs, "Look".

Damon looked towards the stairs and immediately a smile formed on his face seeing Caroline and Rebekah coming down, with Mia, Hope, Nova, Lizzie and Josie infront of them, all wearing the same shade of gold.

"Damon" a stunned Kol whispered, his eyes landing behind Caroline and Rebekah.

Damon looked in the direction Kol was looking at and he froze seeing the love of his life standing there, her one arm looped around Alaric, while the other carried a flower bouquet, looking at him with a huge smile on her face.

Aria looked to Alaric, who gave her a encouraging nod, she then looked to her other side where her mother stood.

"I'm so proud of you" Amelia whispered, tears in her eyes, "Now go get married to the man you've always loved".

Aria nodded her head and with that, she let Alaric slowly lead her towards Damon, who hadn't moved his eyes from her for even one second, scared if he looked away, she would disappear, he was terrified all of this was a dream, a extremely beautiful dream.

Aria looked at Damon, and slightly shook her head, she knew what he was thinking, she was thinking the same thing, but the truth is, this wasn't a dream, it was their beautiful reality.

As Alaric and Aria reached Damon, Alaric placed Aria's hand into Damon's, "Take care of my daughter, Damon".

Damon nodded his head, "Always" he promised, holding on to Aria's hand tightly and helping her stand infront of her, but before he could praise her, his eyes landed on the familiar necklace around her neck, "Ria, where did you get that necklace from?".

Aria looked at Damon in confusion, "I thought you gave this to me".

"Ria, I didn't give you this, that necklace belong to Katherine" Damon revealed, remembering seeing Katherine wear that in 1864.

"Seems like she accepted the invitation to the wedding of the century" Klaus realised.

"She snuck into our house?" a shocked Aria asked.

"She's a villain, what do you expect?" Damon asked.

"Damon, you need to get this necklace off of me now!" a disgusted Aria said.

"No" Kol protested, "Keep that necklace on Ri, we need to show her that these petty tactics aren't going to work on us".

"What if she's already here?" Aria asked, looking around but finding no sign of Katherine anywhere.

"She probably is hiding somewhere" Finn said.

"But her eyes will be here" Elijah pointed out, "Niklaus, start the ceremony".

Klaus nodded his head, "Dearly beloved" he started the ceremony, "We are gathered here today to witness the joining of these two epic lovebirds in official matrimony, Damon has found the woman who has loved him through it all, who will love him through it all, but before we begin this beautiful ceremony, if anyone has any objection to this union, speak now otherwise you won't be allowed to speak later on", the group looked around but there was no objection anywhere, "Anyone?", the group waited another moment but no one came forward, internally both Damon and Aria breathed a sigh of relief, "Well, since no one is objecting to this ceremony, we will now continue with the wedding ceremony of Damon and Aria".

A shocked Aria looked at Klaus, "We're actually doing this?".

"We are" Klaus confirmed, "You ready?".

Aria looked at Damon, "Are you ready?" she asked.

"Since day one" Damon whispered.

Aria smiled, "Then I'm ready as well".

"Great" Klaus smiled, "So, do you Damon take this beautiful woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?".

Damon stared at Aria, immense love shown clearly in his eyes, "I do".

"And do you Aria, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you apart?" Klaus asked.

Aria nodded her head, "I do" she said, a huge smile on her face.

"The bride and groom have chosen to write their own vows" Klaus informed, making Damon and Aria look at each other.

"We did?" Aria whispered.

"Apparently" Damon whispered back, giving Klaus a glare.

"Just go with the flow" Klaus whispered, "It's not that hard".

"Aria" Damon started, "Since the moment I met you, I knew you are the first person I want to see every morning I wake up and the last person I see every night for the rest of eternity, I know I will not always be what you want me to be, I might forget to listen or forget to share, I might not always agree with you, I might be stubborn and I might be wrongheaded, but I will always love you, I will always strive to be the man you believe I can be".

Aria looked at Damon with tears in her eyes, "I remember meeting you for the first time, I remember looking into your eyes and just getting lost in it, I didn't know what our future held but despite that in that moment, you were the only thing I saw, and now so many years later, you are still the only thing I see, it's been a long journey for us, but I wouldn't change a thing, because if we didn't go through all that, I don't think we would be here today, I don't think we would be us, with our little family, I don't know what the future holds for us, but know that this very moment will stay with me till the very end".

Klaus smiled at the couple infront of him, he then looked towards their daughter, "Mia, your turn".

An eager Mia stood up from her seat, Caroline handed her a small cushion that had two rings on it.

Mia then walked over to her parents, both of them gave her a smile and grabbed the rings from her.

"With this ring, I thee wed" Damon said, sliding the ring into Aria's ring finger, the same finger that already had her engagement ring on it.

Aria laughed, she then held Damon's hand in hers, "With this ring, I thee wed", Aria slid the ring into Damon's finger.

"With the power recently vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife" Klaus announced, "Damon, you may now kiss the bride".

Damon smiled, he then leaned forward and pulled a smiling Aria into a kiss while everyone threw flower petals at the happy couple.

At their reception party, Damon and Aria stood at the dance floor, having their first dance together.

"What's with the serious look?" Aria asked, her now husband, as the two lightly swayed on the dance floor.

"Just wondering, why send the necklace, but skip the wedding?" a confused Damon asked.

Aria shrugged, "I have no idea, when it comes to Katherine, I've realised you can never be sure of anything".

Damon nodded his head in agreement, he then stared at his now wife, "Are you happy?".

Aria looked at Damon, "Very" she whispered.

Damon smiled at Aria, he than span her around and pulled her back into his arms, as Aria let out a laugh.

"I love you, Damon Salvatore" Aria whispered.

"And I love you, Aria Salvatore" Damon whispered back.

"Aria Salvatore" Aria smiled, "That sounds really nice".

"It sounds the best" Damon said, pulling Aria into a kiss.

After having their first dance together, Damon and Aria went over and sat on the table with everyone else, the group went on to laugh and talk the night away.

"Mom!" a panicked Mia yelled, rushing over to her mother.

"What's wrong bunny?" a suddenly concerned Aria asked.

"Alec ruined my dress" Mia cried.

"It was an accident!" Alec yelled, all the way from the children's table.

Aria looked at her daughters dress and sighed seeing the drink stain on it, "Alright, come on, let's quickly get that cleaned before it stains".

"Aria, you sit, I'll take her" Caroline offered.

"No, it's okay, I've got this" Aria assured, she turned to Damon, "Be back soon".

"I'll be waiting" Damon said, kissing Aria's hand.

Aria smiled at her husband, before standing up and going inside the building with her daughter.

"Everybody, can I please have your attention!" Kai said into the microphone, gaining everyone's attention.

"What is he doing now?" Damon asked Kol.

Kol shrugged, "I have no idea".

"Since Kol, the best man, hasn't given his speech, I'm taking over" Kai informed.

"I'm waiting for Ri to come back" Kol defended, annoyed that Kai was taking over his job.

"Well you wait for her, I'm starting my speech now" Kai stated.

"Without the bride being present?" an amused Klaus asked.

Kai waved his hand, "I'll repeat everything when she comes back" he said, making everyone chuckle, "So Damon, are you ready to hear the best speech ever known to man kind?".

Damon chuckled, "Go for it".

Kai opened his mouth to start his speech, but before he could, Matt's mother, Kelly Donovan walked over to him and snatched the mike from his hand.

"I'll take it from here gorgeous" Kelly said, confusing everyone present, all wondering why was she here, Kelly looked towards Damon, "Damon, remember the time you and I made out? It was super hot".

"Please tell me she's joking" Elijah told Damon.

"She's not" Caroline said, shuddering in disgust remembering the time she had seen Kelly and Damon together.

"Don't give me that look" Damon said, seeing the looks everyone was sending his way, "Me and Ria weren't together then, and we had a fight, I was fragile".

"And you made out with that?" a disgusted Kol asked, not liking Kelly one bit.

"Please tell me we're not getting a drunken toast from this random women" an annoyed Rebekah.

"She's not a random women, she's Kelly Donovan, Matt's mother" Caroline informed everyone.

"You made out with the busboy's mother?!" Kol asked Damon.

"Can we please stop talking about my past hookups on my wedding day?!" an annoyed Damon said.

"We didn't start this, mate" Enzo pointed out.

"Well, I've known Damon Salvatore for years, but I can honestly say I'm not sure what all the fuss is about" Kelly continued, "And then there's little Mrs. Perfect, who currently isn't present here, too bad both her mother's dead, maybe if she wasn't born her biological mother will still be alive".

"Alright bitter old woman, that's enough" Kai snapped, trying to snatch the mike from Kelly's hands but failing as she pushed him away from her.

"No!" Kelly yelled, she then turned to Damon, "Why does a monster like you get a happy ending? What you did to Vicki? Shame on you, she didn't hurt anyone ever, she might have turned her life around, but you didn't give her the chance, then again, I never had a chance, either, no, this town made up its mind about me long time ago, you all looked right through me for years, treated me like a joke, sent me packing without a second thought, maybe if you hadn't forgotten all about me, you would have known that I had a bad fall two years ago, and you never knew I was dead, no, the only one who gave a damn about me was Katherine, she saw how I was suffering in hel--".

Before Kelly could finish her sentence, a furious Damon walked over to her and wrapped his had around her throat, "Where is she?" he asked.

But instead of replying, Kelly started puking out black blood, immediately causing Damon to let go of her, once she was done puking, she looked at Damon, "I have no idea, I was busy creating a gas leak inside".

"Oh my god" a shocked Caroline whispered, "Aria and Mia are inside".

"You really think you could play Katherine Pierce?" Kelly taunted.

Damon shook his head at Kelly, before rushing towards the building to save his wife and daughter, everyone else quickly rushing after him as well, all hoping and praying that nothing happens to either Aria or Mia.

An extremely worried Damon ran towards the building, however before he could reach, a huge blast happened, the impact of the blast threw Damon on to the ground.

"No!" Damon yelled, standing back up and trying to rush into the burning building but Elijah and Klaus quickly held him back, while Finn and Enzo held Kol back, and Caroline was held by Rebekah and Kai, "Let go! My wife and daughter are in there!".

"Damon, you will die!" an equally worried Klaus yelled.

Damon looked at Klaus, "I will anyways die without her!".

"We need to extinguish the fire" Elijah stated, trying to keep a calm head, "We can't go in there, we won't be able to save them like this".

Inside the building, Aria was hugging Mia close to her, both mother and daughter coughing because of the fire.

"Mom" a scared Mia cried.

"It's okay bunny" Aria whispered, trying her best to stay strong for her daughter, she looked around and realised in her fear Mia had accidentally created a protective circle around them, "Whatever you're doing with your magic, you need to keep doing it, okay?".

Mia nodded her head, "Okay, mom".

"Aria, you need to keep moving!", Aria looked infront of her and saw her mother standing near the flames, "If you don't move both you and Mia will die".

"Mom, I don't understand what's happening" a panicked Aria said, "How is Mia protecting us right now?".

"She's siphoning from you" Amelia informed, glancing at Aria and Mia's intertwined hands.

"That's not possible mom, I have no magic in me anymore" Aria pointed out.

"You're a Connor witch Aria, you will always have magic in you" Amelia said, "How else do you think it's possible for you to see me? Let Mia siphon you, tell my granddaughter to use her incredible magic to save my daughter".

"No" Aria said, shaking her head, "If she siphons from me, I'll lose you, won't I?".

"Baby, I know it's hard but the truth is, I've been dead a long time, Aria" Amelia said, "I shouldn't be here, it's time for you to let me go".

"I can't mom" Aria sobbed, "I can't lose you again".

"I will always be here" Amelia assured, tears falling down her face, "You might not see me but I will always be there for you, and one day, when all of this is over, we will see each other again, but right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, you have to fight Aria, you have to live, for yourself, for Damon, for your kids, for your parents, if you don't fight today, then it's not only you who will die, you'll be killing your daughter along with you, save her Aria, your story might be ending but hers is yet to start, show her how to use her magic, show her how to do the spell to save both of you".

Aria looked down at her daughter and then back at her mother, as much as she wanted her mother to stay with her, she couldn't risk the life of her daughter, "I love you mom" she whispered.

"And I love you baby" Amelia cried, knowing her daughter had made her decision, "Never forget Aria, both your parents are extremely proud of you".

"I won't" Aria sobbed, after giving her mother one last glance, Aria used her free hand to wipe her tears, she then turned to Mia, "Bunny, I need you to follow my instructions, okay? Do exactly what I do".

"Okay, mom" Mia whispered, moving closer to her mother, her grip on Aria's hand tightening.

"Repeat after me, phesmatos motus incendiaros" Aria said.

"Phesmatos motus incendiaros" Mia repeated after her mother.

"Live the happiest life you can Aria" Amelia said, saying her final goodbyes to her daughter, "Promise me that you'll always be happy".

"I promise" Aria cried, as Mia repeated the words her mother taught her, "I'll see you again someday mom".

"Someday" Amelia whispered, slowly disappearing infront of Aria's hands.

Aria let out a sob seeing her mother disappear, she then took a deep breath and gathered herself before repeating the words with Mia.

"Phesmatos motus incendiaros".

While chanting both Aria and Mia took small steps forward, their chanting stopping the fire from reaching them.

"Phesmatos motus incendiaros!".

The mother and daughter duo reached the fireplace where this fire had started while they were chanting, Aria held Mia's hand up and then yanked it forward, all while neither of them had stopped chanting, causing the fire to go back into the fireplace.

Outside, the groups eyes landed towards the chimney where they saw flames of fire erupt out of.

Damon then looked back at the building just in time to see Aria and Mia come out, both of them unharmed.

"Dad!" Mia yelled, running over to Damon, who immediately kneeled down and pulled his daughter into a tight hug.

"Are you okay? Please tell me you're okay" a worried Damon asked his daughter.

"I'm fine dad" Mia assured, her panicked dad, while hugging Damon, Mia's eyes landed behind him at Kol, who was in a equally panicked state as Damon, so after breaking the hug with Damon, Mia rushed over to Kol who immediately picked her up in his arms.

"I'm so glad you're okay" Kol whispered, holding Mia close to him.

Damon looked at Aria, "Please tell me you're okay" he said, taking a step towards her.

Aria didn't say anything, she just walked over to Damon and hugged him, tightly.

Damon hugged Aria, with his one hand around her waist and the other running through her hair, "I thought I was going to lose you".

"You're not going to lose me anytime soon" Aria assured, hiding her face in Damon's neck, who placed a kiss on the side of head, breathing a sigh of relief realising both Aria and Mia were perfectly fine.

After Aria assuring him many times she was fine, both Damon and Aria decided to go interrogate Kelly about the whereabouts of Katherine.

"What did Katherine promise you?" Damon asked, shoving Kelly on to a chair.

"Nothing" Kelly replied.

"Then why the hell did you agree to help her?" a confused Aria asked.

"You don't get it" Kelly said, "She promised me nothing--oblivion, emptiness, anything is better than endless torture in hell, and all I had to do was keep you idiots distracted until the fire started".

"What is Katherine planning?!" Damon asked, getting angrier and angrier each second.

"You don't have to bully me, she wanted me to let you know" Kelly informed, "She's gonna burn down Mystic Falls, with hellfire, tonight".

"Damon, I think she's talking about the Maxwell bell" Aria realised, she then looked at Kelly, "But if Katherine rings the bell, it won't create hellfire, that can only happen if someone with Maxwell blood rings the bell, Peter or Matt won't do that".

"Oh, then it's a good thing Matt wasn't an only child" Kelly informed.

"Except Vicki's dead as a doornail" Damon pointed out.

"She was" Kelly confirmed, "Until my son opened up a portal to hell and let some people out".

"Vicki's out and she's gonna ring the bell" Aria realised.

"Yeap" Kelly confirmed, letting out a chuckle.

A weak Aria took a step back, suddenly not feeling very well, her hand went up to her nose, when she brought it back her eye sight, she realised her fingers were coated in blood.

Aria opened her mouth to call for Damon, but before she could, a bell ringing caught the attention of the trio.

"There's Vicki" Kelly smirked, "Right on time".

"Ahh!" Aria yelled, grabbing her head in pain.

"Ria?" a worried Damon called out, rushing over to Aria.

"Damon" Aria cried out, feeling immense pain in her head, "Somethings wrong".

Damon's attention went towards Kelly who vomited out more black blood and fell to the floor, officially dead.

"Damon" Aria whispered, her eyes closing, just as she was about to fall to the floor, Damon grabbed her and slowly kneeled on the ground with her.

"Ria?!" a panicked Damon yelled, tapping Aria's checks, "Ria, wake up! Dammit Ria, wake up!".
