18. The Last Dance

Klaus, still in Alaric's body, opened Alaric's wardrobe and looked at his clothes in distaste.

"Who is this guy, Safari Sam?" Klaus asked annoyed, picking two acceptable shirts, "Okay, bad or badder?" Klaus asked Katherine.

"The dark colors suit you better" Katherine replied.

"Oh, thank you, honey" Klaus said, "Okay, pop quiz, the dagger and white ash are in the Salvatore's possession, correct?".

"The dagger was used to kill Elijah" Katherine informed, "You'll find him in the basement of the house, but you won't be able to take the dagger out as the Bennet witch did a spell on it".

"Good, that dagger needs to stay exactly where it is" Klaus said, "The last thing I need to do is resurrect Elijah, oh that guy is a buzz kill".

"And don't forget you're on the outs with your girlfriend Jenna" Katherine reminded.

"Right, Elena's aunt, for, uh, all the lies about Isobel" Klaus remembered, "What else?".

"That's it" Katherine answered, not telling Klaus that the Connor witch he was going to use in the sacrifice is his long lost best friend, someone his been waiting for centuries.

Klaus walked over to Katherine and caressed her check, making Katherine jump in fear, "Oh, so jumpy".

"Please just kill me, I've told you everything that I know" Katherine pleaded.

"You see, I believe that you believe that" Klaus said, "But what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you? Hmm? Anything? Tell me".

"They were trying to see if Bonnie could find a way to kill an Original without a dagger" Katherine answered.

"Bonnie the best friend?" Klaus asked, Katherine nodded, "But there's something else your hiding, something bigger, spill it Katerina".

"I-I'm not" Katherine stuttered.

"But you are" Klaus said, forcing Katherine to look into his eyes, "Tell me what your hiding".

"The Connor witch you are going to use in the sacrifice, she is your best friend" Katherine replied, in a daze from Klaus's compulsion, "The girl your family has been waiting for a thousand years, she's finally back".

Klaus suddenly grabbed Katherine by the throat, "Don't lie to me!" Klaus yelled, "I will not tolerate any lies when it comes to Ariana!".

"I-I'm not" Katherine said, struggling in Klaus's grip, "You compelled me, I can't lie to you, she's really back, Ariana Connor is back as Aria Connor".

Klaus let go of Katherine and stepped back from her with a huge smile on his face.

"She's back" Klaus whispered happily, "She kept her promise, she came back to us, oh I can't wait to meet you my lovely Ari".

"Knock, knock" Liz said, knocking on Caroline's door.

"Mom?" Caroline asked confused, usually her Mom would be at work by now.

"Is Aria here?" Liz asked.

Caroline nodded, "Yeah, she stayed over last night".

Last night, both Damon and Caroline decided that Aria was in no state to be near Elena or John, so they decided Aria will stay with Caroline for a few days, Damon had told Caroline about his proposal and how Aria hadn't replied to it yet and he didn't want to force her to make a decision with everything she's been through, Caroline decided that before Aria moved in with Damon, which she was sure of was going to happen, maybe not now but soon, Aria needed to live with her for a while, which is why Aria was now staying at the Forbes.

"Is she going to be staying tonight also?" Liz asked.

"Yeah, she's going to be staying with us for a few days, her and Elena got into a huge fight, and I don't trust Elena near Aria anymore, so I bought her here, hope that isn't a problem" Caroline said.

"Absolutely not" Liz said, "This is Aria's home also, she can stay here as long as she wants".

"Thank you Mom" Caroline said, grateful that her Mom understood.

"Did you both see her?" Liz asked suddenly, a sad expression coming over her face.

"What?" Caroline asked confused.

"Did you and Aria see Amelia yesterday?" Liz clarified, shocking Caroline.

"How did you know?" Caroline asked confused.

"Bring Aria to the living room, it's time you both finally know".

Five minutes later, both Caroline and Aria entered the living room to see Liz sitting on the couch, surrounded by photos of her and Amelia.

"Your Mom told me she was a witch the day she first tapped into her magic" Liz said, seeing both the girls enter.

"You knew my Mom was a witch?" Aria asked shocked.

Liz nodded, "She told me, just like I know for a fact, you told Caroline".

"But Amelia Mom said you never asked her any questions, me and Aria assumed that meant that you didn't know what she was" Caroline said, ever since she was a baby, Caroline has always called Aria's Mom, Amelia Mom, it felt right to her.

"I didn't ask question about why she wanted to be buried in that witches house" Liz clarified, "But I always knew she was a witch, other then Lucas, I was the only person who knew".

"How did you know we saw her yesterday?" Aria asked.

"Last night, when Caroline brought you home, both of you didn't realise that I was also home, I heard you say that you lost you Mom once again" Liz informed, "That's when I realised, it finally happend, what Amelia wanted, it finally happened".

"I'm so confused right now" Caroline admitted, making Liz chuckle.

"I know, which is why I'm going to start from the beginning" Liz said, "The day your parents got murdered Aria, I was picking you and Caroline up from school, that's when Amelia called me in a panic, she told me to not bring you home, she told me that from now on you were my responsibility, she told me that there will be day when you will need your mother, the day your powers emerge you will need her, so she told me I needed to bury her at the old witches house, hearing Amelia, I knew something was wrong so I quickly dropped you and Caroline at Elena's, I just knew something had gone wrong, I just didn't know what, so I rushed to Amelia, when I got there the sight infront of me still haunts me to this day, Amelia and Lucas were dead in the middle of the living room, blood was everywhere, Aria do you know, they died holding each other's hand, even death couldn't do them apart, there love was that strong".

By now Liz, Caroline and Aria were sobbing, remembering that day was hard for all of them, that day changed all their lives forever.

"I was in shock, my best friend, my sister, my everything, she was dead, I didn't even realise Miranda had brought you back home Aria, I didn't realise you had entered the house, I realised it when you let out this painful scream, your scream still scares me to this day, it reminds me that not only did I fail my best friend, I also failed to protect my second daughter from seeing her parents dead, I know to this day that scene gives you nightmares, hell it still gives me nightmares" Liz cried, "After Amelia's death, I tried to adopt you Aria, but with Caroline's dad leaving us, the court gave you to Miranda, they thought I wouldn't be able to take care of you, that's when I decided that I would prove everyone wrong, I started working really hard, I wanted to become financially stable so I could bring you home, in doing so I ruined my relationship with Caroline, I'm sorry both of you, I'm really sorry for being such a horrible mother to you both".

"No, no, no" Aria and Caroline said, both of then kneeling infront of a sobbing Liz.

"You were trying to bring Aria back to us, I'm sorry I gave you so much crap, I didn't know why you were working so much and neglecting me" Caroline cried, "If I knew, I would have never given you so much crap, please forgive me Mom, I'm sorry for being such a horrible daughter, I'm sorry for not understanding".

"So what if you couldn't adopt me before?" Aria asked, "You can now, please let me stay with you, I lost my Mom twice, please don't let me lose you, I can't go back to the Gilbert's, they don't understand me, not like you and Caroline do, please don't send me back there".

Liz wiped Aria's tears, "This is your house, it's always been your house, you staying here would make me feel much less of failure, I never liked you in that house anyways".

Both Aria and Caroline chuckled, "Neither did Amelia Mom" Caroline informed, "She said she was outraged".

Liz chuckled, "Tell me everything, tell me what you guys talked about, I want to know".

Caroline and Aria both looked at each other and went on to tell Liz everything Amelia told them, at this moment the Forbes family was officially complete.

"Stefan did what now!?" Caroline yelled.

After Liz left for work, Caroline and Aria met up with Damon at the Grill for breakfast, before they had to go to school.

"He transferred the ownership of the Boarding House to Elena" Damon said annoyed, "That asshole didn't even ask me once for my opinion, it's my house too".

"Why did Stefan do that?" Aria asked confused.

"Well, when we were at the witches house yesterday, Isobel kidnapped Elena to take her to a safe house under her name, but that was a lie, because turns out Isobel was compelled by Klaus this whole time, she was supposed to deliver the moonstone and Katherine to him, and after she did that, she killed herself, right infront of Elena's eyes" Damon explained, "Anyways, Stefan figured the safe house idea was a pretty good, so he turned my house into the doppelganger's personal safe house".

"Isobel's dead?" Aria asked shocked, Damon nodded.

Aria didn't know how to feel about that, a part of her felt good, she felt like she deserved it, but the other part of her was sad, she was her Dad's only family left, she never got to know her, the real her, the one her Dad used to know.

"Well, what do we do now?" Caroline asked.

"Wait" Damon replied, "Bonnie and Stefan found the witches house as well, Bonnie has the witches by her side now, we have to assume they are ready to kill Klaus, we just need to wait for Klaus to come, somehow make sure he doesn't die, then he will save Aria and kill Elena and then us three will live happily ever after in the small town of Mystic Falls".

"Sounds like a plan" Caroline said, clicking her drink with Damon's.

Aria wanted to feel guilty for not caring about Elena's life, but she just couldn't bring herself to feel anything for the doppelganger, whenever she thought about her she felt nothing but hatred, Aria didn't know if she was overacting or not, all she knew was that her feelings regarding Elena have changed drastically, with the prophecy, her Mom's words, Liz's words, Kol and Damon's words, Caroline's hatred, Aria was finally realising how blinded she was before, she was finally realising how selfish Elena Gilbert really is.

Aria and Caroline entered the classroom to see Elena, Bonnie and Stefan already there, seeing them Aria quickly turned around to leave, not wanting to be in the same room as them, but Caroline stopped her.

"Nope" Caroline said, grabbing Aria's wrist, "You are not running, you don't run".

"But Care, I can't be near them" Aria whispered.

"Aria, I'm right here, I'm not going to let them near you, just relax" Caroline promised.

Aria sighed, she knew there was no point in arguing with Caroline, so without complaining any further her and Caroline sat in their seats, ignoring the looks the other three were giving them.

"Aria look" Caroline said excitedly, showing Aria the announcement paper for the 60s dance.

"Yes, finally something fun" Aria said, making Caroline laugh.

"Hello, class" Alaric, who was really Klaus, said, entering the room, "What are we learning today?".

Caroline and Aria looked at each other in confusion, Alaric was always prepared for class.

"With the decade dance tonight, we've been covering the 60s all week".

"Right, the 60s" Klaus said, his eyes landing on Aria who was throwing small paper balls at Caroline to annoy her.

Klaus froze, he couldn't believe his eyes, his best friend, his family's humanity was finally back, all he wanted to do was go and hug her, but he knew she didn't remember him, that was one of the annoying thing about Kol's spell, and he didn't want to overwhelm her on their first meeting.

Klaus cleared his throat and looked away from Aria, and started writing on the blackboard, "The 60s, I wish there was something good I could say about the 60s, but, actually they kind of sucked, except for the Beatles, of course they made it bearable, uh what else was there? The Cuban missile thing, the, uh--we walked on the moon, there was Watergate".

"Watergate was the 70s, Mr. Saltzman" Aria interrupted.

Klaus looked at Aria and smiled, "Right, it kind of mushes together up here, the 60s, 70s, thank you Aria".

Aria and Caroline entered the cafeteria, munching on their shared packed of chips.

"Your making Matt dress as JFK?" Aria asked amused.

"Yeap" Caroline replied, "It's a decade dance, we need to look good".

"Me and Damon are not dressing up as anyone, it will be a miracle if Damon wears anything that's not black" Aria said, making Caroline laugh.

"Yeah, what is it with your boyfriend's obsession with the color black" Caroline asked.

"Don't know" Aria replied, "But he looks extremely hot in it".

Hearing Aria, Caroline pretended to vomit, making Aria laugh and shove her playfully.

"Aria, Caroline".

Aria and Caroline turned around to see Bonnie and Elena walking towards them.

"Great" Caroline whispered, "They can't leave us alone for one day".

"Hey" Bonnie said, giving Aria and Caroline a small smile.

"Hey" Aria said, while Caroline just glared at the two girls.

Aria was mad at Bonnie, but not as much as she was with Elena, she had it in her to be civil to her.

"Aria, why did Damon come to the house today to take all your stuff?" Elena asked.

"Damon took my stuff?" Aria asked confused, having no idea about that.

"Shoot, I forgot to tell you Aria" Caroline said, slapping her forehead, "I told Damon to get your stuff and move it to my house, since you're going to be living with me now".

"You're moving in with Caroline?" Bonnie asked shocked.

"Yeah" Aria replied, "Liz and Caroline both want me to move in with them".

"So what?" Elena asked angry, "Our friendship ended just like that?".

"What friendship Elena?" Caroline snapped, "You kept Aria in your shadows, that isn't friendship, it's toxicness, now Aria is emerging from your shadow, it's time you realise you can't control her anymore".

"Caroline--".

"Aria, hey, there you are" Dana said, walking over to the foursome, "Okay, this is gonna sound freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight".

"Tell that hot guy, that she has a boyfriend" Caroline said, "A very protective and possessive boyfriend".

"You could at least meet him, he'll be at the dance tonight, look for him, his name is Klaus".

The four girls looked at each other in shock,

"I'm sorry, what did you just say?" Elena asked.

"His name's Klaus, I know the name's stupid, but I swear he's hot".

"Where is he? Is he here?" Bonnie asked, looking around for anyone suspicious.

"I don't know".

"She's compelled Bonnie, she's not going to tell you anything" Caroline said.

"But Aria, he wants to know if you'll save him the last dance, how cute is that?".

"So we go to the dance and find him" Damon said, talking to Caroline and Aria.

After Klaus's little stunt, the four girls went to the Boarding House, Aria and Caroline wanting to talk to Damon, while Bonnie and Elena wanting to talk to Stefan, being in the same room, the tension was extremely think between the two groups, with Stefan, Bonnie and Elena wanting to kill Klaus, and Aria, Damon and Caroline wanting to talk to him.

"Really?" Stefan asked his brother, "How are we gonna do that? We don't even know what he looks like".

"Correction Stefan, you guys don't know what Klaus looks like" Caroline said, "But my powerful best friend and now sister, she knows exactly how Klaus looks like".

Aria had to stop herself from laughing, Caroline never left an opportunity to taunt the trio.

"And you're not going to tell us?" Stefan asked.

"No" Aria answered truthfully, "Klaus isn't going to hurt me, his not my problem, his yours".

"You don't know that Aria" Elena snapped, as Alaric/Klaus walked through the door, Damon having called him, "You had one dream about Klaus and now you are willing to risk your old relationships for him?".

"Seriously Elena?" Aria snapped, standing up furious, "You want to talk about old relationships? Mine and Klaus's relationship is the oldest, I knew him a thousand year ago, and let me ask you three something, if I tell you what Klaus looks like, would that stop you guys from attacking him? I know you guys don't understand my connection the Originals, I never excepted you guys to, but you know what I did except for you guys to do, was trust me, trust my judgement, specially you Elena, what happened to not judging me and always trusting me? The thing is I can tell you everything I know about my past, but it wouldn't matter because for you guys Elena is always first, and I get it, Stefan you love her, Bonnie she's your best friend, but what about me, what am I? Stefan, Elena wasn't there for you when you didn't have control over you bloodlust, she ran away from you, but I stayed! Bonnie, Elena wasn't the one who called you everyday when Grams died, you never answered my phone but I never stopped calling, Elena did!".

Aria took a deep breath, all the yelling in the past few days have been taking a toll on her, "I'm tired of being your guy's second choice, I deserve better, I deserve better then being second, I'm not second, specially not to Elena".

After going off at everyone, Aria ran upstairs to Damon's room, leaving everyone around her speechless.

If Klaus wanted to kill Elena before, now he wanted to give her the most gruesome death there was, he hated doppelgangers with a passion, he hated how they always hurt Aria.

"Ric" Damon said, breaking Klaus's chain of thoughts, "Put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight, it's time me and Klaus finally meet and discuss how Elena is dying and Aria is living".

Klaus smirked hearing Damon, he just realised how easy it was going to be to kill the doppelganger.

Damon entered his room to see Aria going through the 60s clothes they had, Caroline having gone home to get dressed.

"Oh good, your here" Aria said, "Now you can help me pick out a dress, you guys have so many, it's so hard to choose".

"I could help you" Damon said, speeding right infront of Aria, "Or I could do something else".

"Like what?" Aria whispered, looking into Damon's eyes.

"This" Damon said, smashing his lips on to Aria's.

"I missed this" Aria admitted, after breaking the kiss.

"I know, I missed it too" Damon said, attaching his forehead with Aria's, "The last few days have been really hectic, but at the end of the day we still have each other, that's what matters the most".

"God, I can never get used to cheesy Damon" Aria said, rubbing her nose with Damon's.

"He only comes out when I'm with you, the most extraordinary girl I know" Damon said, kissing Aria's nose.

"I love you" Aria whispered, hugging Damon.

"And I love you" Damon said, "No matter what happens tonight, just remember that".

"I'd be an idiot to forget it" Aria said, tightening her hold on Damon.

Though they won't admit it, both Damon and Aria were scared of what was going to happen at the end of the night, they just hoped whatever happens tonight, they wouldn't lose each other.

Aria and Damon entered the dance hand in hand, with Aria wear a pink swirl hippy dress, paired with a matching headband, and white long boots, while Damon was in his usual black shirt and black pants.

"Aria!" Caroline yelled, running up to her best friend with Matt right behind her, "You look so hot".

"Thank you Jackie O" Aria said, referring to Caroline's outfit, "You looking amazing Care, better be careful Matt, your girl is a guy magnet tonight".

Both Caroline and Matt laughed at Aria.

"No one's getting through to her, except me" Matt said, kissing Caroline.

"I see you've dressed up for this" Caroline said sarcastically to Damon.

"Oh I'm so glad you noticed Blondie, could you tell I made an effort?" Damon asked sarcastically.

"Dick" Caroline mumbled.

"Barbie" Damon retorted, knowing how much Caroline hated that name.

Aria laughed at her best friend and boyfriend's antics.

"Thanks for being here everybody" Dana said into the microphone, making everybody cheer loudly, "We have a special shout out tonight, this is for Elena and Aria, from Klaus", suddenly to the one I love started playing.

"This dude better not be making a move on my girl" Damon mumbled, "One Original is all I can handle".

"If it's any consolation, this witch, only has eyes for you" Aria whispered into Damon's ear.

"You better" Damon joked, with a tinge of seriousness, "Now come on, it's a party Ria, let's dance".

Damon grabbed Aria's wrist and pulled her to the dance floor, Caroline and Matt following behind.

After messing around for a bit on the dance floor, Damon and Aria made their way over to Alaric.

"Special dedication, huh? This guy's a little twisted" Alaric said.

"As long as he doesn't make a move on Aria, I could care less what he does" Damon said simply.

"Do you guys think he remembers me?" Aria asked suddenly, "I mean, we are hoping he would know how to save my life, but we are forgetting it's been a thousand years, what if his forgotten about me?".

"He would never" Alaric said quickly, "I mean, who would forget their humanity? Who would forget the one person who makes them feel human?".

"Ric's right" Damon said, "And if he has forgotten you, we can always undagger Elijah who we know for sure wants to save you, he knows where Kol's elixir is".

"You have really thought this through, haven't you?" Aria asked.

"Of course I have" Damon replied, "I'm not taking any chances Ria, not when its about you".

Aria smiled and pecked Damon's lips, "Thank you vampy".

"You're welcome witchy" Damon replied.

Klaus observed Aria and Damon and he could immediately see the immense love they shared, Klaus thought no one could love Ariana as much as his brother, but here the case was completely different, Klaus just wondered what will happen to their love when Kol arrives.

"Aria!" Stefan yelled, running over to Aria, who had somehow managed to lose both Caroline and Damon, "Aria I know you don't want anything to do with me, but it's Bonnie".

"What happened to Bonnie?" Aria asked suddenly worried.

"Aria, where are you taking me?" Bonnie asked the Connor witch, who was holding on to her wrist and dragging her out of the party.

"You are sacrificing yourself for Elena?" Aria asked furious.

Bonnie sighed, "Who told you?".

"Jeremy told Stefan, who told me" Aria answered, "Bonnie what your doing, that is not an option".

"It's our only option to save Elena's life" Bonnie said.

"What about your life?!" Aria yelled, "Bonnie, your life can not mean this less, do you think when Elena finds out she's going to let you go through this? This can not be the only option, there's always another option Bonnie, you want to save Elena, let me just talk to Klaus once, we can figure this out, just don't go on a suicidal mission".

"I didn't think you cared Aria" Bonnie snapped.

"Of course I care!" Aria yelled, "You and Elena betrayed me, I didn't betray you, Bonnie no matter what happens with me and Elena, I still consider you my friend, and I can't let you die to save someone else's life".

"That someone else is my best friend Aria" Bonnie said.

"Then what am I?" Aria asked, "Am I not your best friend?".

"Of course you are, but Aria I have the power to save Elena and I'm going to use it" Bonnie said, "If I don't use it and something happens, that would kill me more".

"No" Aria said, shaking her head, "I can't let you do this Bon, you have so much to live for, do you think if Grams was alive, she would have wanted you to throw life away like this?".

"Just answer one question" Bonnie said, "If the situation was reversed, would you do it for me?".

"No Bonnie!" Aria yelled, shocking Bonnie, "You don't throw life away like this, if the situation was reversed, I would make sure we both live, sacrificing yourself doesn't make you a hero Bon, life is a beautiful thing, you can't give up on yours before it has even begun".

"You Aria Connor, are an amazing friend" Bonnie cried, "And I'm glad I got to know you".

"No Bon" Aria cried, "I can't lose you, I can't lose another person I care about".

"I'm really sorry Aria" Bonnie said, walking away from Aria.

Aria watched Bonnie walk away from her, Aria wiped her tears and decided that no matter what she wasn't going to let Bonnie die because of Elena.

Aria was walking in the school corridors, looking for Elena when a panicked Alaric came up to her.

"Aria".

"Ric, what's wrong?" Aria asked confused.

"He has Jeremy" Alaric said.

"What?" Aria asked confused.

"Yeah, Klaus has Jeremy, come on, we need to find Bonnie and Elena".

Aria nodded and followed Alaric to find the rest.

Alaric and Aria had managed to find Elena and Bonnie, and now they were running down the corridor trying to find Klaus and Jeremy.

"Ric, where are you taking us?" Aria asked confused.

"Just a little further" Alaric replied.

"Wait" Elena whispered, looking around in confusion, "Something's not right".

"Where's Jeremy?" Bonnie asked impatiently.

Suddenly Alaric stopped and started laughing, "I just had to get away from that dance, the 60s, ugh", Alaric faced the three confused girls, "Not my decade, I mean, whose call was that, anyway? I much prefer the 20s, you know, the style, the parties, the jazz".

"Alaric, are you on vervain?" Elena asked.

"Now, why would you ask me that question, Elena?" Alaric asked.

The three girls looked at Alaric in confusion, they had no idea what was happening to him.

"He's being compelled" Elena said.

"Nope, try again" Alaric mocked.

"What's going on?" Bonnie asked, standing infront of Elena and Aria.

Alaric sighed, "Okay, I'll give you a hint, I am not Alaric".

"Oh my god" Aria said, finally realising who was infront of them, "Klaus".

"Surprise" Klaus said, cheerfully, "I always knew you were the smart one Ari, god you have no idea how good it is to see you again, we both have a lot of catching up to do".

"No, it's not possible" Elena whispered, while Aria looked at Klaus in shock.

"Just relax Elena, I'm not here to hurt you, though I do want to rip your heart out and feed it to you for hurting my best friend, but that will have to wait" Klaus said, "You're not on my hit list tonight", Klaus looked at Bonnie, "But you are", Klaus lunged at Bonnie, who used her magic to shove him into the lockers.

"Bonnie wait!" Aria yelled, standing between Klaus and Bonnie, "Both of you wait, no one has to die, just listen to me please".

"Now, did I mention that I know a witch?" Klaus mocked, ignoring Aria, "You're gonna have to hit me a lot harder than that".

Klaus lunged at Bonnie again but she shoved him into the glass wall.

Klaus laughed, "By all means, fire away".

"Bonnie wait, his trying to provoke you, please don't get provoked" Aria pleaded.

"I'm sorry" Bonnie whispered, putting two of her fingers on Aria's forehead and suddenly Aria fell to the ground unconscious.

Klaus glared at Bonnie, "You shouldn't have done that".

"Come on Ria wake up" Aria heard.

"Aria, you better open you eyes or I will kill you myself".

"Geez Care, thanks for such amazing words" Aria groaned, slowly opening her eyes, "God, I can't believe she rendered me unconscious".

"I still don't know why you want to save a person who doesn't want to be saved" Damon complained.

"Cause she's not like them, she doesn't have it in her to turn her back on people" Caroline said, glaring at Aria.

"I don't know if your proud of me or angry at me" Aria said.

"Take a guess" Caroline snapped, "What were you thinking standing between Klaus and Bonnie? You could of gotten seriously hurt".

"I couldn't let Bonnie kill herself for Elena" Aria whispered, "So tell me, did my spell on Bonnie work?".

Caroline and Damon looked at each other and smiled.

"Today, you have proven that me and Damon were right, you really are strong" Caroline said.

"The protection spell you did on Bonnie, saved her Ria" Damon informed, making Aria smile.

Aria and Damon entered the Boarding House to tell Elena and Stefan about Bonnie being alive, thanks to Aria.

"What did you do with her?" Elena asked Damon, as he was the one who had taken Bonnie's body.

"Will you please calm her down?" Damon told his brother.

"Don't talk like I'm not standing right in front of you" Elena snapped.

"Elena, calm down" Aria snapped.

"You knew Aria!" Elena yelled, "You knew that if she harnessed all that power, she would die, and you let her die!".

"I let Bonnie die?!" Aria yelled furious, "Did you forget the part where I literally stood infront of Klaus and Bonnie, while you stood to the side and let Bonnie kill herself for you, but see Elena, that's difference between me and you, I don't let the people I care about sacrifice themselves, so guess what, I saved my friend, no thanks to you".

"What?" Stefan asked confused.

"Klaus wouldn't have stopped until Bonnie was dead, so Bonnie had to die" Damon explained, "But Aria being Aria, no matter how much she wants to know Klaus, she couldn't let Bonnie die, before meeting up with you, she had told me and Caroline her plan".

"I did a spell" Aria explained, "I did a spell that would make Klaus believe that Bonnie died, without Bonnie really dying, right now Bonnie's with Jeremy at the witches house, next time you go blaming me Elena, just remember, I'm not you, I will never let the people I care about die because of me, so screw you and your accusations".

"Get out" Damon ordered, seeing Elena enter his room.

"I need to speak to Aria" Elena said.

"No, what you need to do is get out" Damon spat, "You are not welcome in my room".

"What are you doing here?" Aria asked Elena, coming out of Damon's bathroom, with only Damon's shirt on.

"I understand why you did, what you did" Elena told Aria, confusing her, "Klaus was fooled and Bonnie's alive".

"Let me stop you right there, I know your here because you think I'm going to now help you kill Klaus, but your wrong" Aria said, confusing Elena, "I didn't save Bonnie to fool Klaus, I saved Bonnie cause she is my friend".

"If Aria was in my place, would you let Bonnie die for her?" Elena asked Damon, Aria frowned, why was Elena asking this question?

"Yes" Damon replied simply, "But here's the thing Elena, Aria isn't in your place, she's never going to be in your place".

Elena looked between Aria and Damon, she realised they really were done with her, so with a sigh she left the room.

"You know, you can't put my life above everybody else's Damon" Aria said, after Elena had left.

"Let me be clear about something" Damon said, "Today, I let you save Bonnie because you weren't putting yourself in danger, but if it ever comes down to you or the witch, or even Elena, I will always choose you, I will gladly push Bonnie and Elena to their deaths, if it meant that you were alive, and if that makes me selfish, then so be it, I am selfish", Damon walked over to Aria, "Listen to me loud and clear Aria, you have me wrapped around your finger and after making me fall so deeply for you, you are not allowed to leave me, am I clear?".

Aria smiled, "Clear".

"Good" Damon whispered, his eyes flickering from Aria's eyes to her lips, "Now, how about some fun".

Before Aria could realise what was happening, Damon picked her up and placed her on his bed, and smashed his lips on to hers.

After her fun with Damon, Aria went downstairs to the basement, she knew even though she had saved Bonnie today, she wouldn't stop from sacrificing herself for Elena, now there was only one person who could help her now.

Aria kneeled down, next to a daggered Elijah, she let Kol, Damon, Caroline and her Mom's voices run in her head, she was strong, she was powerful, she could easily overwrite a spell if she really wanted to.

Aria took a deep breath, she hovered her hand over the dagger and started chanting, after a while, Aria took a deep breath and went to grab the dagger, last time someone tried grabbing the dagger, they ended up dead, Aria really hopes the same thing doesn't happen to her.

Aria breathed a sigh of relief when she was able to touch the dagger without getting hurt, it worked, her spell worked, with a smile, Aria finally took the dagger out of Elijah.
