Sorry
"DENMARK?!" Norway yelled as the door to the pod shut, eliciting a few confused stares from the Londoners waiting in line. They had just seen a strange foreigner scream the name of a random Scandinavian country all whilst staring at the wild-haired man who had slid into the pod next to him. It was quite the spectacle.
"Norway-" Denmark began.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Norway yelled as the pod started to lift into the air.
"I can't stand being away from you when we just got back from being apart. I'm so sorry for what I did at the party. I'm sorry for calling you cold hearted. I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable, I can't control myself when I'm drunk. I really hope you can forgive me. I love you." Denmark spoke, his voice wavering as they moved higher and higher into the air. Norway froze, taking in the words like a sponge, his eyes zoned out on Denmark's face. Denmark cleared his throat at the uncomfortable silence, his eyes watering a bit in fear for Norway's response. He has spent the past couple hours flying to England and tracking the two down. If it wasn't for England, Denmark wouldn't have found them. England had been texting him their location every few minutes, and even came up with the plan to get Denmark on the ride with Norway. It was all quite sneaky.
It took Norway a few more seconds of zoned-out silence before he snapped out of it and opened his mouth to speak. "I-I'm sorry. I said things I didn't mean and I freaked out for no reason. I think the alcohol and the pounding music made everything a lot crazier than it should've been. I didn't mean any of it and I was acting childish. I ran away from a problem that would've been much easier to fix if I didn't overreact and I feel stupid. I love you too." Norway spoke. Denmark wiped his eyes and sniffled before wrapping Norway in a bear hug. Norway sat still, awkwardly letting Denmark hug him for a few seconds before clearing his throat. Norway wasn't a huge fan of hugs.
"Look. We're at the top." Norway stated as their pod reached the highest point of the ferris wheel. Denmark tore his eyes off Norway for the first time in a couple minutes to stare out of the pod overlooking the city. Norway stood up to look over the city and Denmark followed, wrapping an arm around Norways waist as they admired the Thames and the old buildings littered across the historic city.
"I'm really, really sorry." Norway muttered, resting his head against Denmark's shoulder apologetically. Even though he had already apologized, he felt like it wasn't enough. He hated seeing Denmark cry like that.
"I'm sorry too. Can we just forget that party ever happened? We were both tipsy and said things we didn't mean. Emotions were running wild after you know, Belarus, and I think we both just boiled over. Let's just forget about it. We both love each other and that's the only thing that matters. Let's just.. lay off the alcohol for a while." Denmark suggested, tightening his grip around Norway's waist and pulling him in closer. Norway chuckled at Denmark's suggestion and smiled, happy that the two were finally going to be able to enjoy themselves again. The past 24 hours had been hell.
A few seconds later the pod began moving again, and the two decided to sit back down, enjoying each other's company in silence. Neither of them had anything to say. Just being in the presence of each other was enough for them. When the pod finally reached the bottom and the two got off, they were immediately ushered over to England, who was waiting on the sidewalk with a smirk on his face. He was pretty proud of his plan.
"How was the riiiiiidde?" England asked in a sing-songy voice, smiling as the two approached him on the sidewalk.
"It was awful. Denmark and I decided never to see each other again. I'm moving back to Oslo and taking Iceland with me. It's all your fault." Norway said monotonously, eliciting a horrified shriek from England. Norway loved teasing him and seeing his overdramatic reactions, and he figured now was the perfect time to do it.
"WHAT?! WHAT HAPPENED? I THOUGHT I FIXED IT!" England yelled, recieving a few glares from the people waiting in line. Denmark and Norway immediately burst out laughing at his response and Denmark nudged Norway in the rib for being such a tease.
"I'm being sarcastic." Norway replied, a smirk on his face as he stared at the freaked-out Brit. Norway watched as England's face turned from despair and confusion to anger.
"I hate you." England responded, scowling as he realized he had been tricked.
"That's what you get for lying to me about texting America." Norway stated simply.
"It was for your own good!" England defended himself, throwing his arms up in the arm dramatically. The two Scandinavians laughed at his dramatic response and England furrowed his brow in frustration. He didn't seem to realize the Norwegian was just joking around.
"Thanks for the help England." Denmark thanked, ruffling the Brit's hair affectionately. England scowled and fixed his hair before looking down at his watch.
"It's getting late. If you'd like, we can go back to my house and have dinner before your flight back to Stockholm." England suggested, lightening up a bit as he looked at the two. Denmark and Norway looked at each other with concerned expressions, wondering who was making the so called "dinner". If it was England, they weren't sure they would make it back to Stockholm alive. England noticed the two having an eye conversation and let out an exasperated sigh.
"If you two really don't want me to make dinner we can order pizza." England suggested, rolling his eyes.
"Sounds great!" Denmark responded, smile on his face. Neither of the Scandinavians had the heart to tell England that they didn't want to get food poisoning by eating his cooking. Pizza sounded like a great idea.
"Let's go then." England said, gesturing towards the direction of his house. Denmark and Norway entwined their fingers and followed, peacefully enjoying each other's company as they followed the Brit back to his house. Everything was finally getting back to normal again.
