You sat on your bed that was inside the Butterfly Estate, taking a small bite from the sweet mochi that Mitsuri brought you. She purposely went looking for something to bring back for you after finishing her recent mission. Mitsuri gushed to herself about how cute you were while Sanemi, Rengoku, and Iguro sat next to you on your bed, quietly conversing to each other while watching you.

At this point, whoever wasn't assigned on a mission chose to spend their time with you.

They were all worried. It just wasn't a good sign that you were in and out of recovery so often. None of the Hashira could help the pessimistic thoughts protruding into their heads.

"Is ..she going to be okay?" Mitsuri sniffled, watching sweat roll down the side of your face. Your fever has been present for a few days now, and it wasn't looking good for you.

"It's still hard to tell and no matter what I give, I can't soothe the pain she is feeling." Shinobu said, flicking liquid inside a shot before sticking the needle into you, slowly injecting you with medication.

Everyone was silently looking at your pitiful figure. Useless was an understatement to how they all felt. "I believe Y/N-Chan will live! I can just feel it!" Rengoku smiled with determination. "Yes. If anybody can defy the odds, it's Y/N." Iguro said, smiling under his mask.

"She can do it."

The relief everyone felt when you opened your eyes was incredible. The Hashira's had to hold back on hugging you tightly as you were extremely weak.

"Yummy." You mumbled, holding out the mochi for Sanemi to taste, which he quickly did, embarrassed that the others saw him. But he just couldn't say no to you, especially after your dangerous close call.

"Thanks kid. It's good." Sanemi said, gently patting you on the head as he chewed on the treat.

"Mm." You hummed, gaining the others attention. "Mission?" You asked gently. Sanemi furrowed his eyebrows and turned to the other Hashiras, their expressions matching each other's.

How would they answer you? They didn't even know the answer themself. Sure, they don't want you to go, but Oyakata-Sama would have the last word.

"Not now. Just enjoy yourself, okay?" Iguro calmly answered, gently patting you head as you leaned into the touch, chewing on your delicious treat happily. Wouldn't things be great if they could just stay like this?

"Y/N-Sama! You haven't yet recovered, please don't run!!" Aoi yelled out worriedly as you skipped through the rock garden, visiting Giyuu who was cleaning his Nichirin Blade. You have been playing around the HQ without any responsibilities following you, of course everyone was worrying about you like an older sibling.

Giyuu smiled as he watched you, seeing you poking your head through plants trying to find something interesting. It really looked like you were just a normal kid.

"Y/N, try not to get your kimono dirty, Aoi will get mad at you." He said, trying to coax you away from the dirt, to which you did. "Okay." You said, peering over as you watched Giyuu clean his sword. It reminded you that you should also clean yours.

"Tomi?" You asked as Giyuu sat down on the stone wall surrounding the outside of his estate, you following him, still standing. Giyuu hummed out signaling for you to continue talking. "My N-nichin blade?" You asked, completely mispronouncing 'nichirin', which Giyuu thought was cute though His demeanor changed due to your small question.

Tomioka felt bitter. He hated how you were thinking about your slayer duties when you should be focused on being a kid right now. You were still recovering which meant you weren't assigned to any missions, but you just didn't understand. Majority of your whole life has been revolving around the idea of demons and being a demon slayer. It was hard to snap you out of that mindset at this point. That was just who you were now.

A little pout formed on your face. Everyone avoided talking to you about slayer things anymore as if it were taboo. It confused you. It made you feel like you did something wrong, like you were bad.

"Y/N..." Giyuu sighed as he saw tears form in your eyes along with the sad look your face held. He gently took hold of you by placing his hands under your arms, hoisting you up into his lap. "You don't need to worry about demon stuff right now, okay? We all want you to just take a break and have fun. You deserve it, okay?" Giyuu brushed a tear from your face as you sniffled and nodded.

"Good girl. I say we all go out for treats later, hm? How's that sound?" Giyuu smiles. Truthfully, Giyuu doesn't particularly enjoy going to busy places, but it was something good for you. Other children usually go out with their families for food, right? That shouldn't be an exception for you.  The Hashira are your family, after all.

"mm!" You hummed, agreeing.

Everything confused you since you were missing a huge part of life right now, demon slaying, but it strangely felt good. Odd, but good. Everyone was happy and spending time together with you, which made you happy.

It sometimes felt depressing walking by yourself on missions, even with birdie. You didn't enjoy being alone, and luckily ever since you wound up in the butterfly estate, you didn't have to be alone. There was always someone to go to.

"Bye-Bye Tomi." You waved as you skipped off to find another hashira.

Nighttime fell and you were with Iguro and Mitsuri, on your way to meet the rest of the Hashira for dinner and desert.

"Here's a scarf for you. It's a bit chilly tonight, so i'm sure you must be cold." Iguro muttered, stopping to bend down to tie a scarf around your tiny neck, looking away. "You are soo cute Y/N!!" Mitsuri hugged you, picking you up and continuing to walk.

Once you saw everyone, you gave a small cute wave , to which everyone warmly greeted you back. Then you all made your way to the dinner spot.

You stopped in your tracks, staring up at the restaurant as it glowed bright warm colors. It looked pretty, but you felt a bit uneasy. It was not hidden at all and attracted a lot of attention. It felt dangerous.

The other hashira noticed you lagging behind and saw the complicated look your face held. They knew you felt paranoid as you weren't used to just casually going out. It was a sad sight.

"It's okay." You looked up to see Muichiro looking down at you. It was always hard for Muichiro to understand others, sometimes including himself too. But when it came to you, he felt like he truly understood everything you felt. How you were feeling, your uneasiness, your worries, everything.

"I'll keep you safe. You'll have a good time." He said, patting your head and giving you a reassuring, calm look. Maybe if he visible looked calm, maybe that would make you feel better.

"Let's go." Muichiro took your hand, guiding you back to the rest of the hashira, entering the restaurant.

"Say ahh~, Y/N chan~" Shinobu happily said, holding up different treats for you to try. "Yummy..." You mumbled, contently chewing on the new mystery food that was presented to you. Apparently, your taste testing was entertaining to all of the Hashira, who were happily watching you experience new foods.

Before everyone gathered together to go out to eat, Sanemi and Shinobu warned the others about not having any alcohol at the restaurant. They explained how you told the story of your fathers excessive drinking habits, how he would beat you senseless after getting drunk. It just scared you. You were just a little kid, you assumed alcohol would turn anybody into some mean monster like your father.

Even though everyone had to stick with plain drinks, it didn't matter if it was for you. Everyone was still having a great time regardless.

"Another round of desserts.." The waiter mumbled, placing down a multitude of delicious looking treats, making your eyes shine as you leaned forward to get a better look. "Let's dig in!" Mitsuri called out, just as excited to eat as you.

"Did you have fun, Y/N-chan~~" Shinobu asked as everyone made their way back to the ubayashiki estate. You nodded, thinking about the fun you had. Rengoku pat your head. "We just want you to be happy, okay?"

Happy..

Was that possible for you?
