You smelled like roses.

The fresh blossoms in the spring, right before the sun sets and the breeze that whirls through the fields of you.

Fields of roses.

Oh what a sight to see, seeing you standing there.

Colby took her hand and lead her farther into the field. With a short swift motion, she was swept into his arms as he whispered sweet nothings into her ear.

Her cheeks bloomed like the crimson blossoms and dainty tulips in the field. Her teeth flashed him with a lovely glimmer as she took his hand into her hers.

Colby brushed back her hair before walking quickly towards the path down the pebbled trail. He was urgent and wanted to show her a piece of him that he never thought he would show anyone.

As they dashed with hurried steps, the trees rustling past them as their feet worked along the ground, they reached a quiet area.

In Kansas, Cole never thought he would come back to this spot. The spot where he found parts of himself develop the most. This spot where he would surround himself in his melancholy thoughts while the world of nature was spinning around him.

The girl beamed, awestruck at the scene in front of her. Her heart had leapt out of her chest as she gazed between the blue-eyed boy and the place he had wanted to share with her.

The sun was setting perfectly below the still, crystal clear pond. A cascade of beautiful hues were prominent in the sky. Its reflection sparkled across the body of water while a sundry amount of perennials were luscious and had bloomed around.

An area of soft, verdant colors were found below their feet. She felt as if she were living in a mystical fantasy world, like a secret area that was supposed to glisten while fairies danced around and praised the gods.

An exaggeration, yet not a lie. She could not of not compared this moment to one from a fairytale.

Colby shyly smiled, a small blush spreading his cheeks as he wavered his hand at the gorgeous spot.

"I wanted to show you this," He replies, "It's like... my heaven."

Her eyes gaze at him lovingly as she slowly caresses his cheek with her thumb.

"It's beautiful, Colbs," She whispers, drifting her gaze back to the scenery. "Thank you for bringing me here, I'm speechless..."

He secures his hand around her waist as he draws her body closer. "It's a spot that I come to for inspiration, to relax, to think, just... be. I never have shown this spot to anyone ever and well, baby, I want this to not be my heaven anymore..." Colby connects their eyes together as he gently cups her cheek. They connect foreheads, hearing the steady beats from their hearts.

"I want this place to be our heaven," He whispers, "Ours."

She smiles brightly, feeling touched by his words. She feels his sincerity coming from deep within and she could not help but fall deeper in love with him.

"Colby... if anything, you are already my heaven," She replies, faintly laughing.

He chuckles lightly, "I love you."

"I love you too."

Their lips close the gap between them as they kiss passionately in the fading light of day.

Their heaven is each other.

Theirs.
