"Every damn year" I huff under my breath as I looked in the mirror as I finished off my black lipstick. I adjusted my jacket before huffing again

"Ready?" Kat asked from my bedroom door, I lived on my own with my two dogs.

Today was the first show of Sam and Colby's tour. 

I was going for Sam's sake not Colby's. He was my best friend for over 10 years but then his girlfriend came into the pitcher and ever since then i've kept my distance.Mainly because she told me that if I didn't keep away she would break Colby's heart, and honestly that's the worse thing, I love Colby, as more than a best friend. but I would rather see him happy than heart broken.

"Coming" I smiled as I grabbed my keys before saying goodbye to the dogs.

"You ready?" Kat asked me as she got into the passengers side to my jeep.

"Of course." I winked at her as I pulled out of my drive way and headed to the arena.

20 minutes later

"Hey guys!" Sam smiled as we jumped out of the car and over to him
"Sup Sam" I smiled

"Look, before you get annoyed..." Sam began 

"She is here?" I said knowing it was bound to happen, but what can I do, I don't start unless she does.

"But we have a plan" Sam smiled as Kat laughed evilly

"Oh god what?" I rolled my eyes

"Colby likes you" Sam said

"No he doesn't" I said.

"Yes. Yes he does" Kat answered "And we are going to make him jealous, make him break up with his girlfriend and then get with you." Sam told me

 "Right okay?" I said sarcasticallyThey both looked at me

"Come on. Who are we going to make him jealous of me and who?" I asked

"Single man, reveal yourself" Sam said before Jake appeared.

"Currently he is the only single boy in the house close enough to Colby to make him jealous" Kat explained

"Look, one kiss in front of Colby without the evil bitch and bush bash bosh, you two are finally together" Sam said. He had always known that i've had a crush on Colby, i'm glad to have him really

."Fine, say we do this and it doesn't work, then what?" I asked

"Then plan B" Kat winked

"Which is..." I asked

"Well hopefully we won't need to use it" Sam smiled

"Let's get this over and done with" I sighed 

"Step 1. Let's make you both look like you have just had a heated make out sesh" Kat smiled

She walked over to me and messed up my hair slightly smudging my lipstick. Then using that lipstick she smudged on her finger to wipe on Jake's lips. Finishing off with messing up Jake's hair.

"Colby come on!" There she was. Lucy

."Coming babe" Colby yelled after her.

"Okay, step two Jake, purposely go and bump into Colby and act nervous when talking to him. go! go! go! go!" Sam whispered

"What about me?" I asked

"Sort yourself out, me and Kat need to hide" Sam explained. 

I grabbed my mirror from my bag and sorted things out

"Are you kidding me dude" I heard from the corner of the room. 

I looked up to see Jake and Colby arguing.

"Shit" I said to myself before running over there.before

 I reached them Colby through a punch and Jake, colliding with his jaw.

"Colby!" I yelled "Y/n" he said as I looked up at him

 "Calm down" I yelled as I pulled him away and over to talk to him in priavte

"Since when have you and Jake been a thing?" he asked

"What? What do you mean?" I asked

"Your the only girl I know that where's matt black lipstick everyday, and I know that its the same lipstick on Jake's mouth" he yelled 

"What's it to you?" I yelled back

"I just don't think he is the right guy for you" he told me

 "What do you mean by that Colby?" I asked

"Look, I know Jake, he treats girls right, he is loyal but he isn't the guy for you" he told me 

"I don't see why that should matter to you" I said as I began to walk away.

"Y/n" he said making me turn around"It matters to me. More than you know" He said

"Well, tell me" I said getting closer to his face.

 I had too look up at him because of the height difference

"Because... because..." he began 

"Colby!!" Lucy yelled. 

Colby rolled his eyes before looking over to see Lucy standing there with her arms crossed and her foot tapping against the floor.

 "What the hell do you think you are doing?" she asked

"Talking to y/n, what does it look like?" he asked

"It looks to me that you want to have sex with her" she yelled

 "How does that look like that?" Colby yelled back

"I warned you" she hissed at me 

"Don't" I said 

"Don't what?" Colby asked

"Colby!" Lucy yelled "We are over, I never cared about you, never loved you, I used you for your money and I think you are a dick" she said 

"What?" he asked looking hurt.

"You took it too far" I said as I walked out to face her

"Oh yeah, I took it too far? You were basically sleeping with my boyfriend in the middle of this room" she said

"Ex-boyfriend" I corrected

She rolled her eyes at me

"You don't deserve Colby, unlike you he is loyal, he is kind, he is sexy and above all else he cares about others" I said getting closer and closer to her face

"Do yourself a favour and leave before I do something I won't regret but end up going to jail with charged assault" I said.

She slowly backed up before walking away and leaving the arena.

"Thank god she is gone" Someone said making others in the place laugh

"Y/n?" Colby said

 "Colby I am so sorry" I said 

"What for?" he asked

"That?" I laughed

"Nah, it was kind of hot, no, it was hot" he said getting closer to me

"Colby?" I asked

"What did she mean by 'warned'?" he asked

"She told me to stay away from you or she would break your heart" I told him

"I'm confused?" he asked

"Even though I love you I would rather see you with someone else then be sad" I said. 

Shocked at what I just said my eyes went wide.

 I looked around to see Sam, Jake and Kat looking at me also shocked but with smiles on there faces

"You love me?" Colby asked

"Shit, you weren't meant to find that out" I laughed

"Good, because I love you too" he smiled

"Really?" I asked

 "Really" he said before pulling me into a kiss

"Thank god plan B wasn't needed" I heard Sam yell

This was the best day of my life.
