"jake come on! it's pouring out!" i yelled. he just hit my arm. we starting to run down the street holding out grocery bag over our heads.

the rain was pouring down quickly and hard. we were half way there when i saw lights of a car behind us, me looking i tripped over something and fell onto the soaked water.

i grabbed my bag that was now everywhere on the ground.

"oh my god i'm so sorry.." i heard a voice say. i looked up to see the most gorgeous girl i've seen in awhile. i realized i was staring when i heard jake grab me.

"come on dude." he tried to tug me but it didn't work.

"why are you out here alone?" i just blurted that out. maybe this isn't my business oh god.

"i wanted time to myself." she sighed. the rain was still as hard as earlier, our faces drenched.

"in the rain?" i asked. she just nodded before grabbing her phone and looking at the time. "do you want to come to my apartment? i have an extra ro-"

"colby!" i heard jake yell, cutting me off.

"what?" i asked kinda growling. he nodded towards his phone making me walk over and see that sam texted him. i looked at the girl that was looking around rubbing her arm.

"so?" i walked back over. she looked at me, "i guess so."

i smiled at her before taking my hand out so she can take it and we could stand under a tree until sam got here. she took it and we all kinda sprinted under a tree. i looked at her small frame compared to me and quickly set down my bag, pulling my leather jacket off and putting it around her.

"i hope you don't have a boyfriend." i chucked as i finished putting my jacket over her shoulder. she wrapped it more around her and smiled up at me.

"i don't." i was about to say something when i heard a car pull up and someone yell to get in. we all got in, jake sitting in front while the girl and i sat in the back.

"why were you guys out? it's literally 2 AM." sam said turning a corner.

"not like we are doing rituals at 3 AM." jake taunted him. we all snickered as he just slapped jakes knee.

"my apartment isn't that fancy so don't judge." i told her as i was unlocking the door. i opened the door and let her in first, then shutting and locking the door.

she quickly turned around, and i knew she was nervous. i mean why wouldn't you be? you're in a strangers house and they asked you if you'd like to sleep here.

she walked around looking up and down the place. she has set my jacket on the chair that was pushed into my island.

"this is gorgeous. what do you mean not fancy?" she chuckled. i saw her smile which made me smiled bigger than anything.

"well let me show you your room." i smiled, waving her over. she followed behind as i walked to the opposite side of my room. "here ya go." i smiled. she smiled too and walked in looking around.

"i'll grab you some clothes?" i questioned her. she looked at me and smiled.

"do you also have a phone charger."she showed me her phone. i nodded leaving the door way and went to go grab her things.

when i came backs she was still standing there, "are you still admiring the room."

"oh-" she turned around. "no i just didn't want to sit on the bed wet." i nodded at her before putting stuff on the bed.

"thank you."

"yeah of course," i looked at her waiting for her to say her name

"y/n."

"goodnight y/n."

"goodnight."

later that night.

i heard a scream come from my apartment. i quickly sat up in bed before getting up and checking on y/n.

i saw her with her head in her hands from the small crack of the door opening. i opened the door seeing her scramble in her bed looking at me.

"it's just me. it's me." i walked over and got on her bed in front of her. "you okay?"

"nightmares.. i'm sorry i didnt-" she started to talk when i cut her off.

"don't worry. i'm just wondering if your okay." she nodded but looked down, "can you stay here tonight?"

i nodded and got off the bed and into the other side to lay down next to her. i got comfy and felt her body move closer to mine so i could rub her arm lightly, wanting her to sleep peacefully.

i heard small and quiet snores escape her lips before moving in a more comfortable spot to also go to bed.
