you and colby were laying in bed, he was trying hard to reach over you to grab his phone from your hand. you both laughing historically from how late at night it was.

"y/n come onn!" he smiled. you gave it back once he was half way on top of you. he shut his phone off looking at you, kissing you before rolling back over on his side.

"i'm going to sleep." you mumbled while getting all cozy under the covers, snuggled up to colby. he wrapped his arms around you turning off the light, you both falling fast asleep.

you awoke from a loud bang in your kitchen. colby decided he wanted to sleep at your house today cause the trap house was having a party.

colby jolted up when you pushed his arm. "w-what? what's wrong?" you stared at the closed door of your room.

"i.. i heard a bang and i don't know." you looked at colby, as he gave you a confused face. you saw him move the covers from his body, swinging his feet to the side of the bed. "colby don-"

he put his hand on you showing it was okay. you gripped his arm tighter. "y/n, it'll be okay. stay here." he got up and walked slowly to the door, making you sit up straighter and watch him.

he cracked the door open and peeked out. when he saw nothing he just opened it slowly and walked out into the dark. you got a bit anxious, so you jumped up and walked out slowly towards colby. you touched his arm making him jump and look at you, before putting his hand on the side of your face.

"i said stay in the bedroom." he said a bit sternly.

"i'm too scared." you shivered. he pulled you closer looking over the railing of your stairs.

"listen to me, i need you to go grab your phone and call the cops. i don't want to scare you but someone's in the house with us." colby looked over the railing again before forcefully pulling you back. "now, y/n."

you walked into the bedroom making no noise grabbing you're phone and sitting in the corner of the room calling the police.

"911 what's your emergency?" the person said.

"there is a robber in my house. we don't know if he has a weapon or not but you need to come fast please." you stuttered.

"let me put you in contact with your nearby Police." it took her about 2 seconds before you heard another voice saying it was the police of your city.

you repeated whatever you said before to the person on the phone.

"we're on our way, may we stay on the phone with you?" she asked.

"yes. please." you kinda cried out quietly.

"where are you now?"

"my boyfriend is out there and i'm in my room sitting in the corner."

"go get your boyfriend and stay in your bedroom. tell him to bring any weapon he may have." you nodded even though she couldn't see, putting the phone down and walking towards the door. you walked out not seeing colby anywhere which got you a bit scared. you looked around before seeing him come out of another room making your heart feel better.

"what are you doing?" colby asked calmly but scared at the same time, you could see it. you saw him with a bat in his hand just in case.

"she said-" you got cut off by steps in the living room since you had wood floors. colby put you behind him, his arm around you. "we have to go in the bedroom."

"okay. go go." he followed you into the bedroom, fast. you grabbed the phone, both you and colby went into the closet hiding in the corner after closing the door. you started to cry from how scared you were which made colby turn around towards you.

he put his hand on your thigh rubbing it lightly, his other hand pulling your head towards him so he could kiss your head.

"you're okay. i'll protect you." colby moved his hand to yours and held it tightly. you nodded resting your head on his shoulder.

after a few minutes of you calming down, breathing calmly now.. you heard footsteps coming up the stairs startling you. and again, your breathing became heavier. you gripped onto colby's arms making him turn around and wrap his arm around you.

"police. you can come out now." you heard a radio go off after the voice. colby opening the closet door and getting up first before helping you. you ended the call with the lady since they were here. colby still had you behind him just incase.

you both walked out see a police officer standing there looking around with a flashlight. he saw you and walked over putting the light in your faces. colby put a hand out to hide it from his eyes.

"y/n y/l/n?" the guy asked. you nodded and walked more in front of colby. the police officer put down the flashlight and nodded at you. "is this your home?" you nodded not being able to speak.

"you are cleared now. the suspect has left but we will try our hardest to get him, i recommend not staying here if you have another place." he said looking around then at colby. he gave him an awkward stare of some sort which you felt colby grip your waist tighter.

"i'll just go to my boyfriends. thank you." you said. you smiled feeling the tense air. he nodded and looked at you.

"would you like a ride to his house?"

"no thank you."

"have a nice day then." he smiled and walked down the stairs where everyone else was. you walked back into the room putting stuff into a small book bag and getting ready to sleep at colby's.

"what was that?" you asked as you put your perfume and hair brush from the bathroom in your bag. "that weird.. awkward tense thing that happened." you sounded a bit strict only because you were nervous still.

"i don't now. he gave me a wrong look so i gave him one back."

"colbyyy." you zip your bag up shutting the light off and grabbing his hand. he smiled a bit before you dragged him down the stairs.

"such a weird day." you said while starting the car. colby just hummed in response before he fell asleep in the passenger seat while you drove to his and roommates house.
