colby sat on the couch as his little girl played with some of her barbies on the floor next to him. he would look ever so often to make sure she's okay.

"daddy?" he looked down at her as she tugged on his pant leg.

"yes princess?" he leaned more forward from his position on the couch.

"i wanna watch tv with you." she said excitedly. he smiled at her before picking her up and placing her next to him. she put her thumb in her mouth as colby scrolled through the channels.

"what do you want to watch?" he looked down at her, her body nearly sinking in his shirt from how small she was.

"uhm! spongebob!" she exclaimed. he started to look through them trying to find what she wanted.

once he found it he rested his back on the couch and watched the tv with her. she would occasionally ask about the show or tell him things.

"isn't that cool." she asked looking up at him, her legs bouncing.

"very cool, baby." he kissed her head and rubbed his thumb over her small arm as his laid across her body.

they both stared at the door when they heard the keys jingle making bailey grow excited. "mommy!" she yelled getting up. colby grabbed her arm quickly just in case.

"hold on bailey." he chuckled. she stopped and waited for him. he stared at the door as it opened to see you walking in. he let go of bailey as she ran up to you.

"hi baby!" you exclaimed kneeling down to hug your little girl as she ran over. you moved a piece of hair out of her face, "how was daycare today?"

"really fun! there are twins there." she said. you smiled at her before kissing her head.

"hey, colbs." you said walking over to him kissing his lips after having a small hug. his arms were still draped around you as you looked up.

"hi baby. how was work." he asked as you walked away to put your stuff on the table.

"awful i tell you! people are such assholes." you sighed. "by the way did you-"

"she took her bath." he said opening the fridge.

"what about feed-"

"i made her mac n cheese." he closed the fridge door, getting the water bottle.

"and you let her take her-"

"y/n." he smiled at you. you just sighed.

"i'm sorry, i just get nervous. obviously i trust you.. just a mothers instinct." you chuckled getting up and walking over to him. you walked to the other side and rubbed his back, leaning against he counter staring at him. he looked down at you and leaned in kissing your lips quite harshly making your hand move up to his jaw.

"kissing bad." you heard a small voice say. you and colby both laughed before disconnecting lips and looking down at bailey.

"you wont say that when you find a boyfriend." you smiled picking her up and placing her on your hip. "isn't that right, daddy?"

"woah woah? boyfriend. you better not have any boyfriend." he said walking closer to her and tickling her. she  started to squeal and laugh before he kissed her head and then yours.

"why don't you girls go get some sleep, i'll be up there in a few." he said running his hand through your hair.

"will do sir!" you heard bailey say as you placed her on the floor. she ran up the stairs making you look back at colby.

"i'll help you clean-" you said grabbing a cloth before he wrapped his arms around you stealing it back.

"i want you upstairs in bed, y/l/n." he kissed you cheek pushing you away.

"what's with all these nicknames?" you laughed.

"maybe i want another bailey roaming around." he winked.

"jesus christ, colby." you started to laugh before walking upstairs.
