you start to gather your things from your locker for next mod, kinda in a rush as you were already late. you grabbed your binders closing the locker quickly, struggling to walk fast and put your binders together. you weren't looking when you walked into someone.

papers scattered the floor along with one of your binders. "oh shit, i'm sorry y/n." you heard a familiar voice say. you looked up while the person kneeled down to help you.

you saw colby's hair before you both stood up and he gave you back your papers.

"oh.. uhm." you realized you were staring, before moving your hair. "thank you."

"yeah no problem. i was just going to ask you if you wanted to go ice skating with some of my friends and i?" he asked. his eyes quickly went wide, "i mean i don't want you to think it's like a date , it's like ya know friends wise unless you want it to be a date-"

you giggled. "i would love to go. date or not, sounds fun."

"okay.. cool. i'll uh, see you after school?"

you nodded. you both went opposite ways to your next mod class.

"so who's coming along?" you asked colby as you got into his truck.

"well, we have the twins.. sam, jake and some other guys. not a lot though." he shrugged. you just nodded and put your seat belt on, listening to the faded music on the radio.

when you got there you jumped out grabbing the skates colby is letting you barrow. they were his moms but they don't fit her anymore.

you walk into the girls locker room and change into the skates, and put on two hoodies. (a/n: i love hoodies oh my god, i have so many.) you walk out to see colby talking to sam and ethan making you walk over. sam and ethan say hi before walking away making kissy sounds and laughing. colby just scuffs and looks at you.

"you look warm." he smiles his warm smile at you.

"i am."

he holds out his hand so you can take it and walks to the ice rink. he walks slowly onto the ice before helping you on it.

"i haven't done this is years, so i'm not good." you chuckle.

"i'll teach you." he smiles again, making you blush a little. he grips both of your hands before skating backwards in front of you. he starts to do step by step with you, making you a little confident in skating.

"there you go." he chuckles. you start to get the hang of it, and colby slowly lets you go. when you thought you had it you fell, but colby caught you which made you look up at him. he helped you up and you stared at each other for what seemed like forever, before hearing some of his friends start yelling. you blushed at them before hiding your face into colby's shoulder and laughing.

"i think i'll get this." you said moving a bit away from him. you started to ice skate which made colby clap and skate around you. you slipped a little bit making colby grab your hand.

"that was fun. but my hands are solid ice right now." you chuckled.

"here." he grabbed your hands with his and rubbed them together. you looked up at him as he was concentrated on your hands, making you smile.

"thanks." you quietly said, looking at him. you both smiled before your felt colby's body get pushed into yours. you both grabbed onto each other, your faces closer than ever.

"pay back?" you chuckled. he just laughed, looking at his friends staring at you both.
you placed your hands on his face making him shiver. "still cold?"

"very." he said. he pulled your closer before grabbing your waist and kissing you. you closed your eyes after a second of shock, feeling warmth take over your body. your wrapped your arms around his neck pulling his body closer to yours. once you both let go you just smiled and looked at his friends cheering.

"some good friends." you smiled at them.

"yeah." he giggled a bit before picking you up, surprising you, and walking you out to the car. "i'll see you guys tomorrow!" he yelled to his friends. he jumped in the car seeing that you had already passed out on the passenger side. he smiled, putting your seat belt on before driving you home. his warm hand slid into yours... you sleepily holding onto it.
