harsh words that colby has never said.

never thought he would say.

and never purposely said.

you sat outside of a house party you went to, sitting on a small porch swing. you rocked back and forth, slowly. the cold breeze hitting you and making tears slowly leave your eyes.

maybe going to a party wasn't so good, since all you could think about was the memories of going with colby and being goofs. you wiped away your tears, and sat more forward in the swing. rubbing your thumb over your intertwined hands.

"hey." you hard a familiar voice, soon to recognize it to be colbys.

"hi." you looked up, wiping away any accessible tears. you rub your hands on your thighs before looking back at him.

"can i..?" he pointed to the spot next to you.

"why?" is all you asked. you ignored his question making him put his hand down and sit here anyways. his face dropped.

"i thought we lost the spark." he confessed.

"you thought we lost our spark, but every wonder what i was thinking?" you asked, in a whisper like tone.

"you know i didn't mean anything, like at all what i said." he said, using the same tone. you shook your head and bowed it lower.

"doesn't matter, you still said it." you ran your hands through your hair before looking at him as he shook his head to get his hair also in place.

"i'm really sorry." he looked at you. "i don't want to try again, i don't want to date cause i know you wouldn't want it.. but can we at least stay as close as we were last time?"

you stared at him before looking down at your phone, the bright screen lighting up showing a message pop up. "my rides here." you got up and walked away from him making him drop his head after closing his eyes.

"unblock my number?" he yelled as you started to walk away. you didn't look back nor did you answer. you got in the car and didn't even bother to look at him sitting there staring at the car drive away.
