colby sat on the bench, helmet in his hand as he stared up at the ceiling. one of his friends walked over bumping his shoulder.

"she'll be okay dude." he rubbed his shoulder in a friendly matter looking at him.

"but what if she's not. what if i just didn't go see her at the hospital because of the game." colby said looking at his friend, aaron.

he patted colbys shoulder, "then win this game for her." he got up and started to hype up the rest of the football team. colby stares at the locker for a second before shaking his head and getting up, putting his helmet on.

after awhile of getting ready and yelling of the coaches to get them hype, they were on the field face to face with their rival school.

the dude threw the ball to colby which he caught and threw to the outfielder. he caught it and got at these 20 yards which made the football players jump up in happiness.

after awhile of playing colby got a anxious and nervous feeling. he sat on the bench running his hand through his damp hair.

"colby," he heard. he looked up to see his coach looking at him.

"yes?" he stood up looking at him.

"it's y/n isn't it?" he asked. colbys face dropped and but his lip looking down.

"i didn't wanna miss this game.. but what if something happens and i don't know." colby quietly said before sitting back down.

"look son," coach said, sitting next to him. "i know how stressful this is on you, but listen. football is your sport, this team it's your family. you push through the stress don't you?"

"always." colbys eyes we're still focused on the ground.

"then make sure you show y/n that she's apart of this family.. win for her." the coach put his hand on colbys back patting it before getting up.

colbys eyebrows furrowed, "wait coach", he said getting up.

the coach turned around in a quick matter, walking closer to him. "call this play." colby smiled looking at the board the coach was playing.

the coach smiled, "that's my boy."

2 hours later the game was over and it was 21-24. the rival team was winning by 3 points. colby has 1 minute on the clock.

the team huddled around each other. "okay, aaron i need you to pull up your game, and tony your on the bench get benny back here" colby said. "this goes out to y/n alright guys, this game is for her. so, on 3 we yell ready?"

"ready." everyone yelled.

"1. 2. 3." they put their hands in a pile and threw them up yelling 'y/s/n'.

they got to their positions and colby let out a shaky breathe, praying he had this. they were 40 yards away from the touchdown.

they blew the whistle and before they could go a flag was thrown. colby stood up form being tackled around pushing the guy.

one of his team mates walked over getting in between the two before colby got any ideas. "for y/n colby. for y/n." he said before taking his hand away from his chest.

colby shook his head off and tried to shake the stress out of him before getting back in position. they started again and soon colby got the ball. not having any time or space to throw it, he ran.

you could hear the crowd jumping up form their seats, yelling and screaming colbys name as he busted through everyone in his way.

he dodged almost every dude before everyone in the stance erupted in screams as his foot landed on the touchdown.

the score moving to a 27-24. colby fell to the ground taking his helmet off and laying on his back in a pile of tears.

"colby. colby. colby!" is all he heard as he got up. his team mates congratulated him by bumping their bodies with him and grabbing his head.

the rival team huffed in ignorance and some smacked their helmets on the ground. colby smiled and blew a kiss up to the sky.

they all ran out the friend high fiving everyone that was in the path. colby stopped mid tracks when he saw your mom standing there. he smiled and walked over giving her the biggest hug while crying into her shoulder.

"are you coming over after?" she asked. colby was a little sus at first but just decided maybe it'd be best.

"if you're okay with it, i'll meet you there."

"of course, colby." she smiled before he walked off. all the girls staring at him in awe saying hi. he just nodded and smiled.

after doing everything, and changing into some sweats and a white shirt, he drove to your house. soon to be there in a few minutes since she didn't live far.

he walked up to the house and knocked on the door smiling when your dad answered. he smiled and shook his hand before walking in.

he said hi to your mom before talking.

"oh colby, i have something for you." she said with a smile making him follow her. she walked up to your room and stood there before opening it and letting him walk in.

he was confused looking around before he spotted you standing there. you smiled as his eyes widened and he ran up to you.

his arms wrapped around your tightly, his eyes started to water. he picked you up holding you tighter.

when he let go he kissed you you holding your face. when he let go he started to cry harder.

"oh my god." he whispered. you smiled up at him. "y/n i was so scared.."

"i heard you won the game for me." you said holding his face in your hands.

"i didn't wanna not see you for a game and then lose it. everything i do is for you." he kissed you again.

"i love you." you said wiping the tears from his eyes.

"i love you more."
