Fire

Rubble

Running, stumbling, crying, gasping

For air that was not there.

Crashing, flooding, moving out

Inhumanly fast.

Sobbing, hoping, knowing, fearing

For my life.

Thunder

Rain

Flame

Debris

Scrambling to safety, 

Screaming to be free,

Giving up,

Falling to knees.

A captain goes down with their ship...
