Jungkook's exhausted. He's spent his entire Sunday at BigHit working on endless choreos with the new groups, this after he spent his entire Saturday, finally moving into his new place. It was a pleasant surprise when Seokjin from the office showed up around 4 p.m. Taehyung following behind smiling sheepishly as they hauled in bags and bags of groceries. 

Staying long enough to help him unpack and if Taehyung helped him break in the balcony...well that's no ones business. but it is partially why he's so damn exhausted today. 

Finally finished, the young idol's are all exiting the studio when he sees someone slip inside. Doesn't even have to look up from the floor to know who it is. When those gorgeous leather shoes that aren't all the way on come into view. 

"Hey handsome" 

"You look drained Koo" Taehyung's eyes are soft when he steps into Jungkook's space pulling him in closer and pressing their lips together. Both of them can feel their bodies relax with the contact and the smiles on their faces cause their teeth to clink. 

"What are you doing here?" 

"Ah, had a meeting with Hoseok. You know the anniversary celebration of BangtanBomb is coming up. We wanted to hire live music for the party, he was just showing me some of the rookie idols. Give them some exposure." 

the man shrugs then, walking around the large studio and staring at Jungkook periodically through the mirror. 

Jungkook wonders if Taehyung knows how beautiful he looks when he isn't thinking of anything?

He's about to tell him, that is until "I'm sure this goes without saying, but you're going to be my date... right?" 

He raises a brow then, cheeky "so I don't deserve to be asked properly?" 

Taehyung rolls his eyes, coming close and pulling Jungkook closer by the hand. "Babe, I want to dance with you. Want to hold you close and show you off to everyone that'll be in attendance. Can I? Can I bring you there as mine?" 

Jungkook looks to the ceiling as if he's contemplating, knowing full well that he is without a doubt going to be his date, still he says "let me think about it" 

Taehyung sticks his tongue out then, pulling back when Jungkook tries to catch it between his teeth "you brat" 

He hadn't even bothered asking Taehyung what  he was doing when he followed Jungkook all the way home, thinks its strange how there's no real question within them anymore. It does scary things to his heart that he's not willing to speak on right now. 

Especially not when Taehyung's all over him the moment the door to his home is locked.

"Mr. Jeon, there you are!" the man speaks up then "you're the one I'm showing around, right?" 

He nods, Taehyung forced him to be the one scouting a place to hold the party. Lucky him. 

They make their way through three different venues before the man drops the small talk and says "so, you're Taehyung's new assistant?" 

"I wouldn't say new, it's been over a year now"

the man laughs, Jungkook can hear a hint of something in his tone "you're new. still it's nice to see you so excited and eager to do everything for him." 

"Who are you exactly?" 

"Ah, I'm Lin. I've known Taehyung since we were kids." 

Jungkook nods then, he doesn't have to tell this guy anything but then he says "It's nice to see he isn't one of those boss types, that just keep an assistant around to fuck" 

"Is there a reason for this conversation?" 

"Taehyung's built up his reputation, over a long period of time. I just don't want anyone or anything to deteriorate it." 

Jungkook smirks, who the hell does this guy think he is "noted" 

the rest of the tours are silent, finally resulting in a decision of the second one they saw. It has this lovely old architecture that Jungkook thinks Taehyung would love. Not to mention the soft water fountain in the middle of the ballroom. 

"Oh and Lin?" he says before they part ways, smug grin coming over his face 

"I may be Taehyung's assistant, but I'm his boyfriend first. and whether or not we fuck is none of your business. but don't worry I'll be sure to tell him about your concerns."

When he finally makes it back to the office, he can just tell Taehyung is in a good mood. There's music playing and he never plays music. The feeling of happiness that pools within at the sight of Taehyung doing a little dance in his office chair. 

Back to the door and just.. so different than Jungkook's ever seen him. 

"What's got you so happy?" he startles Taehyung and sees the way he jumps up. 

"Ha! Guess what?! I got JMB to give us back their investment." he smiles so happy "and they even agreed to sign an agreement for three years of investments in exchange for a monthly two page spread. Do you have any idea how large their investment sums are?! This is huge. HUGE!"

He's giggling and hugs onto Jungkook so tightly that he almost forgets the sour mood he was in. but of course Taehyung notices and pulls back immediately. "What's wrong? Did it not go well today?" 

Placing a string of soft pecks to Taehyung's lips makes his heart feel lighter before he speaks "the actual venue searching was fine. I found one that I think you'll love and I took a bunch of pictures for you. but.. the guy, Lin"

"no" Taehyung pouts "what happened?" 

"he just crossed some major lines, I don't even know how he knew anything of it. but he hinted at our relationship saying he's glad you aren't the type to keep around assistants just to fuck." 

Taehyung's jaw clenches and Jungkook can feel how angry he's getting "then he hinted at me possibly being bad for your reputation and it just bothered me. I don't want to be bad for you in anyway." 

The man in his arms laughs breathily, face burrowing into Jungkook's neck as he kisses it softly. Trailing the sweetest kisses up his neck, across his jawline and stopping just before their lips meet "You aren't bad for me, in anyway. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, got it? I'll put Lin in his place. No one is allowed to talk to you that way." 

Jungkook gives a tight lipped smile "I don't need you to put him in his place, just kiss me" the way he whispers sends chills throughout Taehyung's entire body

"gladly" then their lips are together and Taehyung feels himself being walked over to the small table in the kitchen area of their office, a startled noise leaving his throat when Jungkook hoists him on top of it and steps closer. 

"I've loved having you over the last few nights" Jungkook drawls as his teeth are nipping at Taehyung's barely exposed shoulder 

"mmm.. I love you" he says, smiling when Jungkook's eyes find his immediately 

"God, I'm never gonna get used to hearing those words leave your mouth." kisses him again feverishly, Taehyung's phone ringing from his office but he can't be bothered to move from this spot. Not when he feels so damn happy like this. 

"I love you, Jungkook, I love you." 

Their noses nuzzle slightly making them both giggle "I love you too, Taehyung. a whole lot."

||| guys, I am so sorry this took so long. I'd been stuck on which direction I wanted to go for the rest of the story and I didn't want to rush out an update and be unhappy with it. I'm happy again, and I think you will be too with the path we're going. I see probably another 9 or 10 chapters for this one.
