Thomas' P.O.V
I smiled at James then we got on the topic about jobs, "So do you work James?"
"Yeah! At the old Milkshake Parlor down the street from my house. Did you know that there's a legend about that place?"
"No."
"Well the legend is about a lonely millionaire, he went to the Parlor to buy a vanilla milkshake. He met the love of his life there, and they were together for a while, until he got his lover pregnant and lost him after the pregnancy. The only thing he had left were his two children, they were twins one a boy and another a girl. He was so distraught about the death of his lover that he is said to have gone crazy, so crazy that he made up this imaginary girlfriend to replace him. He wanted to believe so badly that his lover came back to him, he imagined that his lover was still alive until his own death." James started tearing up, "Isn't that sad?"
"Yeah, that's dark."
"I'm sorry I'm such a cry baby."
I hugged him and he buried his face into my chest. "It's okay." I reassured him. I pet his curly black hair, and he stares at me with his adorable eyes, "That's why I work there cause there's a possibility that it could be true and I want more information on it, just working at the place makes me feel like it's true. I feel something in the air something mysterious and special. The main moral of the story is that love can be physically be taken away from you but not mentally, in your heart there's always hoped."
I smiled down at him, I didn't say anything cause what was there to say? It seemed like a good time for silence, so I held him and let him cry. He soon stopped, I wiped the rest of his tears away, and he was ready to talk to me, "So do you have a job?" James asked, "Yeah, I'm an early graduate of college and sometimes I volunteer to substitute as a teacher."
"That sounds interesting." he said.
