Chapter Three: Leaving
"Hyung please?"
"Yoongi, it might be hard to find someone to work.."
Yoongi pouted and leaned against the counter of the coffee shop, trying to convince Seokjin to say yes to his previous proposal.
"Jin-Hyung, I have to move into the dorms in a few days. I need some time with him before I go." He begged. Currently he was trying to convince Seokjin to give Hoseok the weekend off, seeing as he left for the dorms on Tuesday.
Seokjin sighed and wiped his hands on his apron, before nodding softly.
"I guess I can pull some strings, but only if you don't forget me when you become famous." He chuckled, a smile spreading across Yoongi's face as he nodded.
"Thank you so much! I could never forget you." Seokjin shrugged and handing the younger male the drink he ordered when he first walked into the shop.
"I'll hold those words to you." He smiled. Seokjin was happy for the blonde, seeing as he'd finally be able to achieve the dream he had had for awhile. He would miss seeing him around though. Although Yoongi could be temperamental sometimes, he completed the mix of personalities they had.
"I bet you will." Yoongi grinned, before noticing a new customer walk in and get in line behind him. "I should get going, but thank you so much."
"It's no problem, now go give your man some love." Seokjin laughed, Yoongi rolling his eyes as he began to walk towards the front door.
"Will do."
----------
"Don't you need to pack?"
"Probably, but we have more important things to do right now."
Hoseok raised an eyebrow as his boyfriend pulled him up off of the couch. Yoongi grabbed a hat and slipped on his shoes, waiting for Hoseok to do so as well. "I'm leaving soon," The blonde held back his frown when he noticed a glimpse of sadness wash over Hoseok's features at his words. "So I'd like to spend all of my free time left with you."
The younger smiled and intertwined his fingers with Yoongi's, savouring the way the older's slender fingers fit perfectly in between his. He realized how much he'd miss it.
The smallest moments with Yoongi were the best, and they were the ones Hoseok knew he would miss the most.
"Alright let's go." Yoongi's voice snapped Hoseok out of his thoughts, the brunette smiling and nodding as he followed his boyfriend out of the door.
"Wait. I'm pretty sure I have to work today." Hoseok frowned as they borded the elevator.
Yoongi smiled and shook his head, pressing the button that took them to the lobby.
"I already talked to Seokjin." He responded. "He pulled some strings, which means that you're all mine."
Without further warning, Hoseok pulled Yoongi's smaller frame into a hug. Surprised at first, Yoongi sighed and wrapped his arms around Hoseok, holding him tighter as he felt the younger lean down to bury his head in the crook of his boyfriend's neck.
"I love you so much."
Hoseok's words were muffled, but Yoongi heard them loud and clear.
"I love you too." Yoongi whispered, running his hand through the brunette's hair softly.
They stood like that for the rest of the elevator ride; silent "I'll miss you"'s understood through Hoseok's grip on the older's loose fitting T-shirt, and the way Yoongi's hand played with the locks atop the younger's head.
The elevator doors opened and the two held each other for a moment more before separating. "Shall we?" Yoongi asked, holding out his hand for Hoseok to hold.
"We shall." He smiled, taking Yoongi's hand in his and stepping out of the elevator and into the lobby.
They walked outside, sharing smiles and laughs as they walked to their destination hand in hand; forgetting for the moment that their time was limited.
"Where are we actually going?" Hoseok asked, Yoongi shrugging in response.
"I'm not sure." He laughed, "I just kind of wanted to walk and just... Be with you." Yoongi swung their hands and watched as Hoseok's smile widened, nodding and looking ahead of them once more.
"How about we go to the park? It's a nice day." Hoseok suggested, Yoongi thinking about it for a moment before nodding.
"That sounds nice." He hummed, blonde locks blowing in the soft breeze that had started up.
He liked blonde the best. It required the least maintenance.
Hoseok kicked a few pebbles that rolled across the sidewalk, humming softly to a tune he couldn't name as he ran he thumb softly against the back of Yoongi's hand.
"I'm know you already know this but," Hoseok sighed, making Yoongi look up at him. "I'm really going to miss you Yoongi."
The older looked down as he felt his eyes water, tears being the prime reason he had tried to avoid those words for so long. He blinked them back, looking back to Hoseok and nodding.
"I-I'm going to miss you too." He hated that his voice had to crack with emotion, watching as Hoseok's expression saddened.
He wrapped his arm around Yoongi's waist, pulling the shorter closer to him as they walked.
"Distance makes the heart grow fonder." Hoseok mumbled, Yoongi sighing and looking down once more.
"Said by someone stronger than me." He whispered.
He was glad Hoseok didn't hear him.
---------
"One chocolate, one strawberry."
Hoseok grabbed the ice creams that they had bought from the truck that had stopped at the park, walking over to where Yoongi sat on a bench and sitting beside him.
"One very sweet ice cream cone for an even sweeter person." He grinned, Yoongi rolling his eyes and sitting up.
"When will the cheesiness end?" He laughed, taking the strawberry ice cream from his boyfriend and smiling.
"How about.. Never?" Hoseok responded, making the older shake his head as licked a melting drop of ice cream dripping down the cone.
"I wouldn't expect any less." He answered, turning his position so that he could rest his feet on Hoseok's lap as he lay on the bench.
"And I'm fine with that."
