Chapter Six: Proud
"It's nice to meet you Yoongi! I'm Kang Mina, your choreographer/dance teacher."
Yoongi smiled and gave a small bow before sticking his hand out to shake. "You can choose between calling me Noona or sunsengnim, I don't mind which one you pick."
Yoongi nodded, shaking her hand.
"It's nice to meet you too Mina... Noona." He responded, the choreographer chuckling softly.
"Cute." She giggled before clapping her hands. "Now! Although we're not sure if you're going to go solo or be placed in a group, but whatever may happen its important to have some dance experience." She paused and looked at the younger male. "Do you have any experience prior to your lessons here?"
Yoongi thought for a moment, biting at his bottom lip softly.
"My boy-" His eyes widened and he cleared his throat to cover up his words. "My friend works as an assistant dance instructor, and he'll take me to the studio every now and then to show me a thing or two but... I can't say I'm fantastic."
Mina raised an eyebrow before smirking.
"Your boyfriend?" She asked, a knowing look in her eyes that had Yoongi realizing that he was caught.
He really needed to start getting better at this whole secret thing.
"I don't care if you have one Yoongi." She smiled, sticking her hands in the pockets of her sweatpants. "All I'm saying is once you do debut, you're going to have to keep that under wraps." Yoongi nodded, sighing as he rocked back and forth on his heels.
"I understand. I'm just not used to him being a secret yet you know?" He asked, Mina nodding. "But anyway, yeah. My boyfriend is a dance instructor and likes to bring me to the studio, I wrote and produced a song for him to dance to for his final university project."
Mina's eye widened.
"All by yourself?" She asked, obviously shocked as Yoongi nodded. "No wonder you made it past auditions! BigHit would be insane if they passed up a talent like you."
She patted Yoongi's shoulder lightly, the younger male nodding and laughing softly.
"I guess."
"Okay enough chatter." Mina grinned, walking into the middle of the studio and turning to face Yoongi. "Because you don't have much experience in dancing we're just going to have to whip you into shape won't we?"
Yoongi sighed and nodded, pulling his hair up into his SnapBack.
"That sounds intense."
Mina nodded, grinning back at the younger.
"It is. But you know what they say; no pain no gain."
--
"You look tired, want me to call back later so that you can rest?"
Yoongi shook his head, fixing his headphones, smiling as he watched Hoseok's concerned expression through his phone screen.
"No it's alright." He reassured, "It's just that I had my first dance lesson today so naturally I'll be kind of tired from that."
Hoseok smirked.
"Dancing hm? I bet you looked hot."
Yoongi scoffed, not being able to hide the laugh that escaped his lips after he did so.
"I mean if me being sweaty and looking like I'm about to die is hot then, yeah I was fucking sizzling babe." The blonde answered sarcastically, his boyfriend rolling his eyes from the other side of the screen.
"You always look hot." Hoseok shrugged, as if it was common knowledge.
"Nah." Yoongi smiled, secretly adoring the compliments being sent his way.
"Yeah." Hoseok countered, brushing a few pieces of hair off of his forehead as he looked into his boyfriend's tired eyes. "Really though, you should get some res-"
"Yoongi-Hyung you don't know awkward until you're choreographer walks in on you and your boyfriend making out." Mark's words interrupted Hoseok as he burst into the room, Yoongi laughing at the younger male's confused expression through the screen.
He unplugged his headphones and sighed.
"Hoseok, this is my roommate. Mark." Mark's eyes widened and he looked towards the screen of Yoongi's phone, smiling and waving.
"Oh so you're Hoseok! I swear Yoongi-Hyung will keep me up at night talking about you." He laughed, Yoongi turning pink and shaking his head furiously.
"That's a lie!" He exclaimed, Mark laughing and walking over to his bed.
"So you don't talk about me?" Hoseok pouted, obviously looking to get Yoongi even more flustered than he already was.
"Busted." Mark chuckled from where he where he was lying, rolling over and wiggling his eyebrows at the older.
"W-Well I do but.." Yoongi mumbled, Hoseok laughing from the other end.
"I'm just teasing you!" He grinned, Yoongi huffing and fanning his face, only making both Mark and Hoseok laugh even harder. "You know I love you!" Yoongi rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile as he heard his boyfriend coo those words.
"Yeah yeah." He giggled. "I love you too."
"I know." Hoseok smiled cheekily. "Now really, get some rest okay? Same schedule tomorrow, better get the energy for it."
"Alright, I'll make you proud." Yoongi sighed, Hoseok smiling fondly at him through the screen.
"You always do."
--
"Alright! Good job you guys!"
Hoseok beamed as he hi-fived all of the students in his dance class, chuckling as he watched some of them need to jump up to reach my hand. "You're almost becoming even better than me! I might have to let you teach the class soon."
A few of the kids giggled before skipping off to look for their parents, a few staying behind to sit beside the dancer on the floor.
"Hoseok-Hyung?" One of them asked, Hoseok smiling once he saw who it was.
"Yes?"
"Where's that guy who you love? He hasn't been here in awhile." Hoseok sighed, remembering the day the two twins in his class caught Yoongi kissing him goodbye.
"He's just working really hard right now and can't come over at the moment. It's okay though, he promised that he'd come around again eventually." He answered and ruffled the kid's hair.
The young boy nodded.
"But don't you miss him? When my dad is out working I miss him."
Hoseok nodded, smiling softly down at the boy beside him.
"Of course I do."
