Chapter Nine: Meetings
"My, don't you look tired? Guess that's what getting a half hour of sleep does to people."
Yoongi shot a glare in Taesung's direction, mumbling a string of curse words under his breath as he stood up and walked over to the bathroom. "Oh? Grumpy too."
"I'm fine." Yoongi huffed, shutting the bathroom door behind him and locking it before he turned on the shower. Okay maybe he was a bit tired. He sighed as he caught sight of his exhausted expression in the mirror. He rubbed his eyes before stripping his shirt off and looked in the mirror again.
A smile graced his lips as he traced his fingers softly over the blotchy red marks that Hoseok had left on his shoulder. He finished getting undressed sleepily, stepping into the shower and yawning.
He didn't mind a bit of fatigue if it meant he could spend time with the person he loved the most.
He rubbed shampoo into his hair, aware that his roots were coming in but not caring enough to bleach them again, knowing that when he debuted the company would just have their way with his hair anyway.
"Yoongi-Hyung? You've got like five minutes!" Yoongi nodded and shouted back a reply before rinsing the soap off of him, turning off the shower and stepping out. He wrapped a towel around his waist and frowned once he realized that he forgot to bring his clothes into the bathroom with him. Cursing softly, Yoongi bit his lip before he turned the doorknob and stuck his head out of the doorway.
"Taesung-Ssi?" He called, watching as Taesung looked in his direction; eyes widening. "I left my clothes on my bed, can you get them for me?"
Taesung smiled softly before nodding and standing up and walking over to Yoongi's bed.
His eyes darted to the elder's bare shoulder as he walked over, narrowing his eyes at the marks before handing Yoongi's clothes and going back to his bed.
"Go out with me today."
Yoongi frowned and froze in the middle of closing the door once more.
"Wait what?" He asked, Taesung shrugging in response. "First of all: no, second of all: we have schedules today anyway."
"After schedules." Taesung smiled. "Just as friends Hyung. I won't try anything I promise."
Yoongi eyed the younger warily, watching as he smiled cheekily and ran a hand through his raven hair.
"Fine." He huffed. "But if you try anything I'm leaving you got that?"
"Got it." Taesung nodded, then watching as the older finally closed the bathroom door to get changed. "Kind of."
--
"Ready?"
Yoongi nodded and sighed softly as he pulled up his mask and looked out the window. It was already getting dark, the stars shining as Yoongi pulled the sleeves of his sweater over his fingertips and Taesung unlocked their window once more.
They were still trainees after all. They'd get in trouble if anyone saw them leaving through the front door.
Taesung pulled the hood of his jacket over his head, tugging his mask up over his nose before hopping out of the window and landing on the grass below. They were both lucky that it wasn't too high up.
Yoongi followed soon after, brushing off his hands and standing up straight.
"Alright you got me out here. Where are we going?"
"There's a twenty-four hour café I know.." Taesung trailed off, "Unless you had any other ideas."
Yoongi shook his head, smiling softly at the suggestion of a café.
"No, the café sounds nice. Lead the way." The younger nodded, reaching out to grad the blonde's arm but retracting his hand once Yoongi shook him off.
The walk wasn't completely horrible. The cool night air was refreshing, the stars shining brightly as Yoongi began to be able to pick out familiar buildings. "I used to work there!" He gasped, smiling as he saw the familiar sign of the flower shop in the distance.
"You were a florist?" Taesung chuckled, Yoongi narrowing his eyes and laughing softly.
"Yeah? What about it?" He defended, Taesung putting his hands up in surrender and laughing.
"Nothing! You just didn't strike me as the type."
Yoongi nodded, biting lip as they walked closer to the store.
"Can I.." He trailed off for a moment. "Can I stop in there for a minute? Some of my friends work there."
Taesung seemed to think for a moment, checking the time on his phone before nodding. Yoongi smiled, pushing the door open and listening to the familiar jingle of the bell.
"Noona?" He called, hoping that Yuri was working.
Sure enough, Yuri's head popped out of the back room, her eyes widening as she watched Yoongi pull down his mask as take a few steps into the store.
"Yoongi?" She gasped, running over and tackling him into a hug. "Oh my gosh what are you doing here?" She asked, pulling away and ruffling his hair. "And who's this?" Yuri looked over Yoongi's shoulder to the other who was shuffling his feet.
"That's Taesung. He's a fellow trainee." He answered, gesturing for Taesung to come closer. "We just decided to go out for a walk and happen to end up here so I decided to come in and say hi." He looked around. "I thought Taehyung worked nights as well?"
"He does." Yuri nodded. "But I sent him out to get me another coffee to get me through the last hours of my shift, which I kind feel bad about now because he's been going on about how much he misses you."
"When he gets back tell him I'll make sure to visit him okay?" He asked Yuri nodding, and leaning in to hug the younger male once more.
"Well I won't keep you too. Have a good night and make sure to text me when you can Yoongi-Ah!" She smiled once she pulled away once more, pinching his cheek and making Yoongi squirm.
They bid their goodbyes, Yuri wishing them both luck with their future before they left.
"She seems nice." Taesung commented as they kept walking, Yoongi nodding and smiling fondly.
"Yeah, Yuri's like the sister I never had." He sighed, eyes widening at the café Taesung stopped in front of. "This café?" He asked, the younger nodding and raising an eyebrow.
"Yes this one." He answered, a questioning tone to his words. "Is there a problem with it?"
Yoongi shook his head and pushed the door open.
"No, it's just this is the one my boyfriend works at." He replied, not missing the frown that flickered across Taesung's lips at his words.
"Welcome!" He heard Jungkook's voice call, looking up and seeing that the younger's back was turned to them as he cleaned something in the kitchen.
"You always get stuck with the night shifts don't you Jungkook-Ah?" He called, pulling down his mask as Jungkook turned around at lightning speed upon hearing Yoongi's voice.
"Hyung?" He grinned, running out from behind the counter and pulling Yoongi into a hug once he realized that it really was his Hyung. "Are you sneaking out again? Hoseok-Hyung told me about your little rendezvous with him last night."
Yoongi blushed slightly, looking down.
"Staying at the dorm is boring okay?" He laughed, gesturing to Taesung. "This is my roommate, Taesung."
Jungkook smiled brightly, shaking Taesung's hand.
"I'll get you both drinks on the house. Yoongi I assume your usual?" Yoongi nodded. "Taesung? What will you have?"
"Americano." The trainee smiled before sitting down, Yoongi sitting across from him. Jungkook nodded and left to make the drinks. "You know everyone don't you?" Taesung laughed, pulling his hood and mask down.
Yoongi shrugged, smiling softly and looking over to Jungkook.
"I guess.." He laughed, frowning as Taesung leaned forward and brushed a few pieces of hair out of his eyes. "Hey." He warned. "Remember what I told you."
Taesung shrugged and propped his head up on his hand, looking at Yoongi and smiling.
"Whoops."
Jungkook froze as he watched the exchange between the two, frowning as Yoongi didn't swat him away like he usually would when people other than Hoseok engaged in skinship with him (in reality it was because Yoongi was too tired to bother, but Jungkook didn't know that). He shrugged it off and brought them their drinks, eyeing Taesung warily as he set down his cup.
"Have you ever tried an americano?" He heard Taesung ask as he was walking away, looking over his shoulder and watching him set his cup down after taking as sip before lifting it to Yoongi's lips. "Try it."
Jungkook's eyes narrowed, tapping his fingers along the surface of the front counter and worrying his bottom lip.
He trusted Yoongi, he really did. He just didn't know if quite trusted Taesung. Hell, he had just met the guy and was already getting bad vibes from him.
It's fine. He told himself, his frown only deepening once watched Taesung wipe away some of the foam that got on Yoongi's nose from his drink.
"You better watch it Taesung." He whispered, walking into kitchen and leaving the two alone.
