Why Am I Still Single?

“Do you want some tea?” Primrose offered as the two of them sat down on the living room of the second floor.

“Fruit tea?”

“Nuh, oolong tea.” Primrose

Savannah still accepted it.

“By the way, do you know that we were classmates back on Earth?” Savannah

“We were?” Primrose

“Yes, my name was Julianna.” Savannah

“......ok.” Primrose

“......you don’t remember me, do you?” Savannah

“Everyone looks the same to me.” Primrose

“.......” Savannah

Unbelievable. Just because everyone have black or brown hair and black irises, Primrose can’t differentiate who was who..? Is she that lazy?

“So why are you here?” Primrose inquired

“I’m just worried because I feel like our fates are very similar to the fates of the original characters in the novel [Tea and Roses].” Savannah

“Similar? I’m far from being gentle, graceful, and kind like the original Primrose Grace. And you’re not like the wicked and evil Savannah Larkin of the novel [Tea and Roses] either.” Primrose

“I’m still scared.” Savannah

“Is that the reason why you’re still not marrying Indigo Crimson?”

“Yes. He seems different from the Indigo Crimson of the novel [Tea and Roses], he seems to like me as me. But what if he still falls inlove with someone else at the end?” Savannah

“We already changed everything. You don’t have to be afraid anymore.” Primrose

“But what if you still ends up falling inlove with Indigo Crimson?” Savannah

“Are you crazy? Me falling for that stone-hearted guy? No thanks.” Primrose

“He’s not stone-hearted!” Savannah

“Does he even have a heart?” Primrose

“Of course! He’s way better than that idiotic Titus Saros!” Savannah

“At least Titus Saros smiles. Indigo Crimson’s facial capillaries are probably not getting enough supply of blood and oxygen.” Primrose

“There’s nothing wrong with that! He may look pale and he may not smile often, but he’s still super handsome!” Savannah

“Yeah sure. That’s his only redeeming trait afterall.” Primrose

“At least he’s not an idiot! Unlike Titus Saros!” Savannah

“Why do you keep calling him an idiot?” Primrose

“Because he is!” Savannah

“And what exactly did Indigo Crimson did that makes him Einstein?” Primrose

“He—He ahm....” Savannah

“Nothing. Because he’s an idiot too.” Primrose

“Hey don’t badmouth My fiancé!” Savannah

“Then stop saying such rubbish about Titus!” Primrose

The two of them glared at each other.

“So you like him.” They said at the same time

Then they continue to glare at each other.

“Tsk. If you like that troublesome guy that much, just go and marry him already.” Primrose said, obviously annoyed.

“You too. If you like that idiot that much, why don’t you just marry him already?” Savannah said back, equally annoyed.

“Unlike you who like Indigo Crimson, I’m not inlove with Titus Saros.” Primrose

“You’re lying.” Savannah

Primrose rolled her eyes, “Fine, I think he’s pretty cute.”

“I get that you’re worried because in the novel, he’s a massive playboy. But Titus Saros is different from what we expected. Yeah, he’s an idiot. But he’s seriously, madly inlove with you. Why else would he desperately look for you all these years? And did you know that he abandoned the crown just to be with you?” Savannah

“...he did that?” Primrose was surprised

“He did.” Savannah

“That idiot.” She said, but Primrose is smiling.

Savannah rolled her eyes, ‘Look at her smiling like that. She obviously likes him. She hates it when I called Titus an idiot, but she called him an idiot too.’

Primrose then cleared her throat, “The timeline of the novel will begin in a few months.”

“I know. That’s why I’m worried.” Savannah

“But I think there’s nothing for us to worry about.” Primrose

“Why are you so sure?” Savannah

“Titus and I already have children. And it’s impossible for me to like Indigo Crimson. So I won’t be like the original Heroine.” Primrose

Hearing her words, Savannah felt like a pang in her heart vanished. All these years, she was afraid that Primrose and Indigo would still fall inlove with each other, just like in the novel [Tea and Roses].

But that’s impossible now.

Primrose already have children with Titus Saros.

And Primrose doesn’t even see Indigo as a man she can like.

“I hope you and him will have a happy married life.” Primrose gave her blessings.

Savannah finally felt free. Maybe it’s time to give Indigo a chance. Maybe it’s time to give herself a chance.

“Thank you Vanessa, no, Primrose Grace.” Savannah

When Primrose and Savannah went downstairs, they saw Titus and Indigo sitting together with Drustan.

And Drustan looks uncomfortable... no, more like scared.

“So how exactly did you became friends with Lady Primrose Grace?” Titus asked seriously

“Well.. ahm... W-we were both on the run five years ago.. A-and ahm I told her about my hometown.” Drustan explained

“So you’re the one who help her settle down on this town?” Indigo concluded

“S-something like that..” Drustan answered nervously, with cold sweat running on his back. He felt as if the two men are ferocious beasts, ready to pounce with one wrong answer from him.

“T-teacher, why do you look so scared?” Niclaud asked innocently

“I didn’t know you’re a scaredy-cat Teacher.” Nikola added

“......” Drustan felt attacked.

“Your children are adorable.” Savannah commented and it caught everyone’s attention.

“Primrose!” Titus excitedly greeted

“Lady Savannah.” Indigo greeted upon seeing her

“Mommy!” the twins

“Help.” Drustan pleaded to Primrose.. He wanted to escape. But he’s too scared.

Primrose ignored everyone and asked the twins, “Do you want something to eat?”

“I want Tiramisu b-but I think Carrot Cake is g-good too.” Niclaud

“Then let’s have Carrot Cake today Mommy!” Nikola

“Then Carrot Cake it is.” Primrose nodded, she then looked at everyone and asked, “Aren’t you leaving?”

“Don’t you know how to be hospitable? You didn’t offered us tea. And now, you’re even kicking us out.” Indigo said sharply.

“Take a hint, will you? It means you’re not welcome here.” Primrose said back with an equal hostility on her tone of voice.

“T-then we’ll take our leave. Sorry for disturbing.” Titus said

Primrose looked at Titus, “No, sit down. I’m talking to Indigo Crimson. You can stay.”

Titus sat back down obediently.

Indigo glared at Titus. ‘This spineless idiot.’

“Then I guess we’ll take our leave now.” Savannah said as she drag Indigo by the collar, “We’ll come back tomorrow as customers. I hope we’ll be welcome here then.”

Primrose nodded her head.

“Bye pretty Missy! Bye fairy godfather!” the twins waved at their receding figure.

“Bye kids.” Indigo smiled at the twins, which is a rare sight for everyone else, as he let Savannah dragged him out.

Then the two were gone.

“Do you want Iced Coffee?” Primrose asked Titus

“Y-yes.” Titus smiled bashfully. He can’t believe Primrose is being so nice to him.

“Daddy is whipped.” Nikola whispered to his twin brother.

“I t-think so.” Niclaud nod in agreement.

“Love is in the air huh?” Drustan commented as he watched Primrose placed a glass of Iced Coffee in front of the happy Titus.

“How about you Teacher? When will you go find yourself a girlfriend?” Nikola asked curiously

Hearing this question, Drustan suddenly turned sad.

“Why am I still single? Am I ugly? Am I useless? Am I too poor? Am I not handsome enough?!” Drustan asked pitifully

“Do you really want my honest opinion?” Primrose asked back with her usual poker face

“.....no.” Drustan

“T-teacher don’t be sad. It’s not that bad.” Niclaud consoled.

“Claud is right. When you feel like you’re ugly, useless and poor, don’t wallow in despair, Teacher. At least you have sound judgment.” Nikola adviced like a wise man.

“T-that’s right.” Niclaud agreed

“........” Drustan was speechless. Was that supposed to cheer him up?

“Besides, they say opposite attracts. Good for you teacher! Someday you might meet someone good-looking, intelligent and kind.” Nikola added

“H-he’s right Teacher.” Niclaud readily agreed

“.......” Drustan was at a lost for words.. So are you saying I’m the opposite of good-looking, intelligent and kind?

“The kids are correct. Don’t lose hope. Just live honestly and always do your best.” Primrose

“Always? What if it’s pointless?” Drustan

“Always do your best even if it’s pointless. Don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is not disgraceful.” Primrose

Drustan felt touched by her words. Failure is not disgraceful! So it's alright that he still haven't succeeded in finding a girl!

“What’s disgraceful is you’re still naive enough to believe that.” Primrose suddenly added

“.........” Drustan was speechless

The twins definitely got their poison-tongue from this woman!

Drustan is questioning his past self. Why did he even befriended this wicked woman? He’s regretting his decision now huhu.
