Charity Event

Your POV
Sitting next to House at the poker table as he has a cigar in his mouth, talking about the difference in testes of our species with chimps and gorillas. A doctor from the ER comes in, telling Cuddy about a 6 year old patient with bloody diarrhea, but being hemodynamically stable. Glancing at House as he furrows his brows he asks questions.
House stands after a few questions and we make our way out of the party, he turns slightly before smirking as he sees me. "There's a beautiful woman following me, I wonder what she wants."
He looks at a random passerby and I shake my head. "I wanna know what you think is going on with the kid."
Getting into the elevator with him, his hand lands on my lower back before it slides down, pinching my ass. Smacking his arm he shrugs gently. "Too bad the dress has been wasted." Raising a brow at him as we get into the ER. Finding the parent with the kids and walking over.
"I'm Dr. (l/n), and this is Dr. House. We're going to run a couple of more tests."
"I thought Dr. Cuddy was supposed to be here?"
"She's at the charity party downstairs, based on the mojitos she's having, she might not be conscious in 3 hours."
Glancing at House as he watches the kids eyes bounce while he has him follow his light, and the kid struggling to reach out and grab his cane. Sharing a look as the parents look at us worriedly.
"What's wrong?"
"Your son's brain is losing control of his muscles. "
"Dr. Cuddy said it was just dehydration from the diarrhea."
"She's wrong."
House stands up and gets ready to walk away, before the father asks a question. "Is he going to be alright?"
"I don't know."
Following House to his office he grabs an old file from the bottom of his filing cabinet. "Is that? The Ester Doyle file?"
He nods slightly before we round up the other three, once they were in the office, House starts writing on the board.
"What do 6 year olds and 70 year olds have in common?"
"Weak immune systems."
"Could be listeria"
"Already checked for that. "
"Leukemia has a higher prevalence in both the young and old."
"So does asthma."
"No, no, no." House shakes his head.
"They can both get diabetes."
"No," House has a stronger voice this time. "The nearly dead and the newly bred have more in common with each other than with the people in the middle. It's weird, circle of life thing."
He writes on the board, adding kidney failure. "This kid doesn't have kidney failure."
"He will."
The other three start asking questions, the kids case being Cuddy's, the other one being 12 years old. Leaning on the nearby desk, as my shoes were starting to kill me House glances over before turning around to the other three.
"Go do a colonoscopy, and if you see any purple papules grab a slice."
Sending them off he turns to me, sitting down and motioning me to walk over to him. Picking up the edge of my dress, I give him my leg. undoing the strap of my shoe, he pulls it off. Smiling gently as I look down at him, my hand on his shoulder I give him the other leg, he does the same with that one. Rubbing this one slightly before he puts my dress down and stands up. Looking up at him he gives a small smile.
"I know your shoes bug you after a while. But you always look damn good."
"I thought I caught you drooling earlier."
He leans down and kisses me, his hands on my sides as he holds my hips. Pulling away and wiping the bit of lipstick that transferred I smile gently. His blue eyes watch me for a moment before he leans his head back.
"I'll go get changed before you lose your mind."
He gives a sigh before shaking his head.
"Have Cameron pin your dress in the back, I grabbed an extra pair of your shoes in case you needed them while we were working."
"You're going to torture yourself with me in this dress all night? Are you sure you wont be too distracted?"
He looks at me before glancing down. "Trying a new pain remedy."
Smiling gently before kissing him, I went to find my shoes. Smiling to myself as I find them and slip into them, a pair of socks being in the shoes as well. Finding some safety pins I was able to pin my dress up and still be able to walk without falling and dying.

House gets Wilson to come up from the party, having him look at the slides to see if it was lymphoma. After that House sends Cameron and Chase to check the kids heart. Cameron and Chase find a mass on one of his valves, causing House to run off to get a biopsy. He touches the right atrium before pulling the needle out and causing the kid to go into cardiac arrest. It took about 8 minutes before we could get him back, House going back into the procedure to get a biopsy, wanting to find out what's going on.
Grabbing his arm after the procedure was done, I grab his sleeves and pull them down. "What have i told you about wearing your sleeves up?"
He smirks slightly before glancing at Chase. "Honey, not in front of my friends."
Kissing his cheek slightly I walk off and head back to the office, feeling his eyes on me before i hear him. Getting back into the office, it wasn't long for Cuddy to come back up here and tell us we were off the case. House grabs a sample of whatever he got from Ian wanting to know how many okay pieces he could get for a test, pushing maybe 3 pieces.
The three run down to do the tests, finding nothing before we try and find any other ideas. When House doesn't have any he leaves. I follow him down to the kids room, watching as he stares at the kid, thinking. Cuddy shows up and puts her hand on my arm.
"Anything?"
Shaking my head she sighs gently. She goes inside and House leaves, following him again he goes to the office balcony. Leaning against the wall, I put my hand on his arm and his back. He turns to me slightly, pulling me to him as he sighs gently. Resting his chin on my forehead I look over at Wilson as he comes out of his office. He sees me with him and turns to leave before turning around again.
Telling us about his win House and I smile gently before House thinks of something. "The aces were hiding all along." Furrowing my brows at him, Wilson jumps the small wall and follows us as we find the team. He wants to run a test for something that we already tested for, thinking that the tumor slow played us. Chase looks at House as he stands there.
"are you sure?"
"Wait let me think about this," he pauses for a second. "Run the damn test."
This time the test turns red like it's supposed to, hearing a thump as House hits the wall, we look at him. "Start the treatment." He leans back as the three leave to get everything started, the kid should be fine. House holds my hand before kissing it.
"Come on." Following him he sits at the piano in the lobby and plays it until Wilson comes by. Doing one last game, House lights the cigar from earlier as they play. Listening to the bicker of old friends, Wilson is too big after his last win.
"Relative to its size, the barnacle has the largest penis of any animal."
