Arrested

Your POV

"Hello?"

"Hi, I'm looking for a Miss, (l/n)."

"It's Doctor actually."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"What is this call about?"

"We have a Dr. House here in holding, he keeps asking for you."

"You have him where?"

"In the Princeton Jail."

"I'm on my way."

Getting up from the office chair at the hospital, grabbing my jacket I walk into the adjoining office just as Cuddy walks in.

"Where's House?"

"I'm going to go get him."

"From where?"

"The idiot got himself a 24 hour hold, pretty sure it was from that cop he pissed off."

Cuddy shakes her head as she fills the rest on the case. A morbidly obese patient that was found in a burning building barely alive, with lower cholesterol that she has. Walking down the hall I knock on Wilson's door before opening it. He raises a brow for a moment before looking at me.

"You better find a new best friend, I'm going to kill yours."

He sits for a second as I turn around and start making my way to the elevator before he follows. His dress shoes smacking the tile quickly as he catches up.

"Wait, wait, what's going on?"

"House got himself arrested."

turning to look at him, my (e/c) eyes filled with anger. He takes a slight step back.

"Do you know how?"

"Probably that cop that he made a fool of in the clinic a couple weeks ago."

Shaking his head he pinches the bridge of his nose. "What's his bail?"

"15 thousand."

He sighs as he nods. "I'll get the money, consider it an early wedding present. If you don't kill him before that."

Nodding I make my way to the jail, Wilson meeting me a bit later as I sit outside, fuming. Putting his hand on my shoulder I look up at him. Giving a slight nod we walk inside.

"You're the fiancé I've heard so much about."

Crossing my arms at the cop he smirks slightly. "Shame really, I can't imagine what you see in him."

"He has his moments."

Going to get House Wilson puts his hand on my back as he tries to calm me enough so I won't kill House. At least the investigation would be short. Hearing the limp in his walk I look up to see him being uncuffed as he's getting his belongings back.

He walks over to me as I hold his cane, smacking him with it in the leg. He fumbles for a second, barely catching himself before sighing gently. His blue eyes look at me for a moment before Wilson speaks, taking his focus.

Walking out of the building I get stopped by the cop. Ignoring him he follows me towards the car.

"I'm Detective Tritter."

"Don't care."

"You're just like him, that explains a bit."

Shaking my head as I walk away I hear him continue to follow.

"Makes sense you're just as miserable as he is."

"Why? Because I'm engaged to him?"

"That could be a cause."

"So what then? Haven't gotten that far?"

He smirks as he looks up at me. Walking off I lean against the car and watch as Wilson and House come out of the building. Wilson looking at me before patting his shoulder. Going to his own car as House walks over to me.

"I-."

"Get in the car."

Getting in the car I start it and head off towards the hospital.

"Can I at least-"

"No."

"But-."

"What did I just say?"

He sighs gently for a moment before letting it go. Following him into the hospital we go into the office. Putting my things down I sigh gently.

"All he wants is an apology."

"I know, I have nothing to be sorry for."

"You put a thermometer into his rectum, and then left him there for hours. I think you have a little bit to be sorry for."

"It says more about his relationship to his mother than it does to me."

"House, for the love of all things scientific. Let me put it into perspective for you: if you go to jail for this and the warrant on the apartment, where I'd imagine they'd find your stashes. So I really think you should apologize to him before you don't get to marry me, and before I shove your own cane up your ass and make you my own personal Muppet."

He looks at me for a second before he nods gently. Looking at him, I hear the door open. Wilson standing there as he heard all of it from down the hall. He looks at us for a moment before raising a brow.

"Does he not have anything to respond with?"

"Apparently not."

House nods gently. "Call him, tell him to come to Cuddy's office."

"You call him yourself."

He nods gently before going to the phone, calling him and setting a meeting for later in the day. Wilson leaves the office, probably to tell Cuddy as I looked at him. Looking up from his desk at me, I put my hands on my hips.

"I'm sorry."

"How can you be so stupid?"

He shakes his head, his eyes down. Walking over to him, he leans back in his chair as he looks up at me. Sitting on his lap, I put my hand on his cheek as I look at him.

"You can't be doing this anymore. You're both jerks, you keep trying to out jerk each other, it wont work. You'll just bring everyone with you."

Putting his arms around me he nods gently. "I know, I know."

"If you do anything like this again, you can end up in jail, or worse. What if we're married, and have kids? Then what?"

"I don't know."

The phone rings and I answer, it being Cuddy with the detective finally there in her office. Getting up, House follows.

"You better sell this apology, I'll kick your ass and you'll have to give Wilson your bail money back. It was an early wedding gift."

He nods gently before following me to Cuddy's office. Swallowing slightly as we get into the elevator, hoping House would be able to make this work, even if he doesn't mean it.
