"Hello, Jimmy?" Slaine was on his phone. Evelyn looked at Asselyum and Valorie laying on Slaine's bed. He narrowed his eyes as he looked at Asselyum. His eyes glowed electric blue as his vision permeated under her rubber skin and peeked into her computer.

"Evelyn," Slaine said and Evelyn quickly turned towards him.
"I called Jimmy and others. They'll be here in a few hours," Slaine walked towards Asselyum and sat beside her.

"This looks serious. I wonder if Axel can fix it,"
"It's s nothing serious. She just needs new batteries," Evelyn said.
"How can you say that?" Slaine chuckled. Evelyn looked away.

"And why did you refuse help to them? That is so unkind–"
"You're too stupid, dad. Every world has problems, doesn't mean they just come running to the past for help. They need to learn to be independent,"

"It must've had a great cause to compel them into coming all the way here,"
Evelyn looked away,

Evelyn looked into Slaine's eyes, "Are you sure you are not doing it for Asselyum?"
Slaine was left speechless,
"Because if you are then don't mind it but it's pretty pathetic,"

"Evelyn, go to your room,"
"Why? What have I done wrong?"
"I said go to your room!"
"You dodging my question only solidifies my argument. Because I am using logic, unlike you!"
"Mind your manners, Evelyn."

"You can't deny it, dad. You are being stupid. I don't want then here at our house. It is OUR house, not just yours. So we both decide who we want here, not just you,"
"Hello? You're just eleven, my lad. Just go to your room,"

"May I ask why you still like this robot? I mean, if you are that hungry for love, then choose a fucking human!"
"I'm allowed to like who I want, I don't need your approval for that, I am the adult here. Now go to your room!"

"Suit yourself,"
Evelyn grabbed his board and walked out of the house while Slaine just yelled his name from inside the house.

He cruised at maximum speed on the busy footpath. His hair was pulled back by the wind until he finally slowed down near a construction zone since the road was broken.

He held his skateboard by its tail and walked over the broken rocks to the other side. He turned towards an old pipeline covered with mould. He stared at it for a while and slowly water began leaking from those pipes. He brought his hands forward and the water pressure turned stronger and stronger until the pipes burst open.

He jumped back and looked at his hands. They were trembling. He dropped his skateboard and grabbed his palms tightly.

"What was that?" His eyes widened.
"Yo kid in orange!" He heard and looked back. A few older boys stood there in roller skates.

Slaine heard a knock at his door and opened it, thinking it was Evelyn, "So you're back–"
But it was Lupin and Jimmy. Jimmy wore a pair of glasses and Lupin wore a plain white shirt and blue shorts.

"Yo!"
"Hey guys," Slaine greeted them.

"Axel took a train from Philadelphia so he'll be here a while later," Jimmy said.
"That's fine," Slaine said.
"Oh wow," Lupin stood in Slaine's bedroom and looked at Asselyum and Valorie.

"Looks like we need Axel," Jimmy said.
"Where did you find them?" Lupin asked.
"Valorie came to me, but then fainted right after asking for help,"
"So, we don't know why they are here?"

"Something really bad must've happened," Slaine said. Lupin tripped and fell on Valorie, "Are you okay?"
"Yes," Lupin slowly got up but suddenly paused, "... He... He has a pulse,"

"...What the fuck?"

One of them grabbed Evelyn's collar but he slapped his hand, "Don't touch me. Your hands have near 4.56 trillion bacteria that can potentially kill me,"
His friends laughed, "Yo, this kid got your nuts, Tom!"

"Fucking brat!" He grabbed his collar and raised him in the air. He smirked, "How's the view from up there?"
"My visual perspective of the world has changed, I'm looking at you from a different angle and guess what," Evelyn said, "You still look ugly,"

"You fucking dick!" He slammed him on the road and Evelyn heard the crack of his shoulder.
"Suck that, asshole!"
Evelyn slowly got up as he held his shoulder. The pain was excruciating.

They grabbed his collar again, "So, you wanna go down again,"
"You're hurting me, please stop. I feel like there's some problem in my acromion bone,"
"Well, what do you say boys? The princess is hurt~"
"I'm not joking, put me down,"

"What if I don't?"
"Then," Evelyn narrowed his eyes "I'll do it myself," He took his board and slapped it on his face.
"Bastard!"

Evelyn picked up his board and ran,
"GET HIM!"
They ran after him.

"So, Evelyn will be back tomorrow?" Jimmy asked with a Redbull can in his hand. Slaine stood with his back on the wall and his arms crossed while Lupin was inside his bedroom, examining Valorie.
"He is back already," Slaine said.

"Oh cool! Where is he?" Jimmy looked around.
"He went out,"
"That's weird. He never leaves you alone when he is home,"

Slaine shrugged his shoulders, "He's growing up,"

"CAUGHT HIM!" One of them said and the other two surrounded Evelyn.
"UGH!" He groaned as Tom grabbed his hair, "Asshole, you made us run a good marathon back there,"
"Running is good for your metabolism,"
"Aw fuck you!"

"What do you mean he is growing up?" Jimmy asked.
"He's beginning to turn really...verbally violent. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong..."

Evelyn received a punch on his face. He was held back by one of the boys while Tom and his other pal, Mike, were punching him.

"Ben is so poised and controlled in temper but Evelyn?"
"Well, it is a different reality for a reason. Plus Ben is like 400 years old,"

"I don't know, I think I am just making Evelyn more of a... social outcast. He still doesn't have a single friend." Slaine said.
"Aw, I guess he's just an introvert, you know," Jimmy said.

Evelyn's vision got hazy. He wanted to throw some punches too but he was held back. And now, he was too tired to fight.
"Come on, it's no fun if you don't fight back, buddy. Yo, leave him."

And he left his arms. Evelyn fell on the floor, breathless, wet with sweat. He saw shoes before him and looked up. Their eyes looked down at him,
"Come on, hit me! Be a man!" Tom kicked his face and he slid away on the pavement.

"Is he being bullied?" Slaine asked.
Jimmy laughed, "Nah if he was, he would've told you. He shares everything with you."

"Look at that disgusting dusty blonde!" Tom grabbed his hair while Evelyn struggled for breath.
"Wonder whose the uglier one, your mom or your dad?"

"I don't have a mom," Evelyn said, "Never had one,"
"Yo, this brat's adopted or some shit?"
They laughed, "Can't help it if your dad's a faggot!"

Evelyn grabbed his neck while the other two boys held him back.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL MY DAD?!"
"FUCK OFF, YOU FUCKING DISGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT!"
Evelyn punched him.

"Well, I think I should get a maid. We need a woman in the house, you know, a motherly figure to him who can understand him better than me. Someone experienced," Slaine said.
"Or just get a girlfriend bruh," Jimmy finished his drink, "You can't stay single forever, can you?"

"Yeah but... I don't think Evelyn would like it," Slaine whispered.
"Oh, believe me, if you are happy, he'll be double happy,"

"I DON'T NEED A MOM! You have a mom, don't you? You don't seem any better than me if anything you're pretty pathetic," Evelyn smirked and Tom grabbed his collar.

"Mike..." Tom looked into Evelyn's eyes,
"Get me my cigarette,"

"Maybe, I don't know..." Slaine said.
"Hey, give him some time. He is different so it's s hard for him to adjust,"
Slaine looked down as if lost in thought.

"Yo, I can arrange a blind date for you. Or do you have someone in mind?" Jimmy asked.
"No, I don't,"
"Fine then, this Sunday, I'll get some girls from my college. Enjoy your life man. Evelyn will be fine!" Jimmy pressed his hand on Slaine's shoulder.

Lupin came out of Slaine's room, "Valorie is half-human," He said as he removed his white surgical gloves.
"...What the fuck?" Jimmy said.
"You keep giving us one blow after the other," Slaine said.

"Yeah, that sounds kinda gay," Jimmy said.
"Shut up, Jimmy. Stop being blonde for a moment, will ya?"

Evelyn laid in the dirt, with soaked jeans and mud around his neck. He looked at the bridge overhead. He could hear dogs barking at a distance and card moving, it was late night already.

His memories had flashes again and again. The burn marks on his arms from the cigarette were beginning to turn blue. He got up slowly with an aching shoulder and picked up ed his board.

Slaine sat in the living room, at the dining table and looked into a magazine. He heard the door opening and looked at the clock, it was eleven.

He heard fast footsteps and got up, "Evelyn," He turned towards the staircase.
"I'm home," Evelyn shouted from upstairs.
"Come down, we need to talk,"
"Fuck off, dad. Leave me alone,"

"EVELYN BENJAMIN! COME DOWN RIGHT NOW!"
"No!"
"You fuckin..."

Slaine turned back, "FINE THEN, DO WHATEVER YOU WANT! I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!"

Evelyn lay on his bed and covered his face with a pillow. Then, he looked at his window. His brown eyes glowed under the moonlight. He gently closed his eyes.

"I want to scream"
