CODE 61 Origin

The River God, a story about a slave in Egypt.
What is Egypt? Is that a place on Earth? I was sitting on my seat while Clanthido was controlling the ship. My research papers lay beside me, I looked ahead and saw multicoloured rings of a huge planet, shining in the deep blue sky. I looked down at my research papers; mummies. I found certain bodies wrapped up in a special cloth that preserved the fossils of those bones in the excavation site at Dujxik, Kelgester. The River God described them as mummies, but how could the same fossils be found at two different planet billions of lightyears apart? Was I ignoring certain facts?

I was surely missing the parts of the puzzles...Wait did—

"Ameradite," I heard my name and turned towards Clanthido.
"We are here," He nodded. I looked ahead and I could see a blue planet, revolving around a huge ball of fire, with a small dull ball revolving around it. "Is that the Earth?"
"It seems so. Prepare to land,"

I kept my books aside and we both put on our safety belts. He pressed his hands on a lever, "I don't know if we'll land safely, given the Earth's atmosphere, but, I do not regret anything,"
"Stop talking as if it's the last time we are seeing each other. We have a moron to find,"
He smiled, "Yes,"

The lever went up and we went vertical. The spaceship was standing upright, and we were sitting upright. I could see the blue planet, my feet floating above it, my heart was racing. Clanthido hit a button and spaceship slowly began moving down. It's speed seem to become faster and faster. We were falling. We were falling. We were falling.

"WE ARE FALLING!" I shrieked.
"Calm down, it's just gravity," Clanthido said. I knew he was as afraid as me because this wasn't supposed to be happening. The moment we reached the atmosphere, the spaceship caught fire.

"Clanthido!" I shouted.
"Stay calm," He moved his fingers over the buttons and many holograms kept popping up.
"It's hotter than I thought it would be, but don't worry, the fire won't come inside, pull that lever, we'll spread the wings" He guided me.
I pulled the lever he told me to but it didn't move, cold sweat left my body, "It's...It's jammed!"

"PULL HARDER!" He shouted as he pulled along with me. It didn't move an inch, he decided to give up on it and went back to his controls, "Lemme try to land us inside water so that the damage ain't that bad,"
"You mean we are gonna crash no matter what?"

He looked at me, "I won't let you die,"
This made me more scared. Suddenly, something hit us and the spaceship left its artificial gravity.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" I shouted as I held on to my chair, we were floating inside the spaceship and I felt a force pulling me back, towards the back.
"I DON'T KNOW!" He said and looked at the monitors which were all blinking red, "We hit some country's security system so they sent a missile at us, I'll just erase the spaceship's presence so that no one else can detect us,"

We were not on a friendly planet. I wonder if they did the same to Xelveyni and he died. I was getting all sorts of negative thoughts. Every bad possibility came to my mind.

"WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Tears left my eyes. I wanted to see Xelveyni. Our memories flashed inside my head, we were holding hands. His blue eyes were sparkling. We were swimming in the ocean, his eyes had a rainbow reflecting on them.

"I promise I'll see you again"

"When will you be free?"
"This will be my last,"

I started screaming and shouting, "I DON'T WANNA DIE YET!"
Clanthido looked worried and deep on thought, we were approaching certain mountain ranges. The door behind us broke apart and flew away.

I was shouting but he was calm.

"Clanthido?" I looked at him and he left his arms from the chair. He flew away into the sky, "CLANTHIDO!"
His eyes turned black and his human skin began shining purple. He made a black ball, centred in front of his chest, the area around us began collapsing. The mountains turned into sand and everything began crumbling down until everything was sand and the spaceship just submerged into the sand gently. An entire range of mountains was nothing but pain desert.

Dark matter had never failed to surprise me. What could Clanthido not do? Eat an entire black hole for breakfast, create black holes and now this. Act opposite to the gravitational forces between the atoms and just collapse them. It hadn't been seconds since we were here and we had already taken down a mountain range.

Was this some sort of omen?

I pressed my feet on the barren land, on the crushed bones of every animal that lived there on that mountain. I turned towards him and he smiled at me as his eyes turned back to blue, human eyes. We both looked human, our ship was hidden in the sand. We both stood alone in the massive stretch of land that had nothing but sand from our feet till the horizon. It was hot, but not as hot as Kelgester.

We walked on the sand like two ants in a bag of barely. I could only hear our footsteps. Were we really on Earth? Cause I could see no sign of life anywhere. Heck, there was no water. Only sand, sky and a warm, golden ball shining on our head. As night turned it, it was cold. We had to sit down to preserve our heat energy. Clanthido lit a fire with his dark energy. It was a black fire but it was warm. The desert just didn't seem to end, don't tell me it was all this barren planet held. The sand was shimmering under the moon, the sand beneath us seemed like brushed hair on matted soil, I could see the entire galaxy in the sky.

"The sky here is so different," Clanthido said and I nodded. I tried to find our galaxy, but I just couldn't tell.
"Clanthido," I had my fear taking control over me.
"Yes?"
"Don't tell me we are too late,"

"...What do you mean?"
"Maybe, we didn't really leap over time, maybe it was just our brain playing with us so we actually spent two thousand billion lightyears travelling here and now, everything is gone. We are nowhere, Clanthido"

He looked at the sky and I looked at him. I knew it seemed weird, how could we alive after two thousand billion lightyears? Maybe with time being a subjective parameter, what wasn't possible in the space?
"You want me to check if we actually live here?"
I had known Clanthido since childhood, in the human context, fifty years or so. But I still couldn't tell what was going in his head.

"How...Will you do that?" I asked him.
"I can just," His eyes grew purple, "Degravitate the entire desert and see what's beneath it. If we find the remains of civilisation beneath us, we will know that we are late. Then, there's no point in wasting our time here, we can just leave. What do you say?"

"You are crazy," I shook my head but as always, he just gave me a brief smile, "It's just my genius,"
His body began shining purple and he held me in his arms, we rose in the air and all the sand rose beneath us and chased us towards the sky. We were flying with an entire desert chasing us.

With him, everything seemed possible.
With him, I felt safe.
With him, I was a bit crazy too.

Until he stopped abruptly. I looked at him, "What happened?" He asked.
"I feel a strange presence. I can feel someone like us, a breathing organism, it's a male," He closed his eyes, "Barely alive, he is somewhere in this sand,"
"...What? That is strange..."

"It's not the strange part,"
"Then, what is it?"
"The origin of the organism. He is you,"
