CODE 58 Traitor
"Do you want to burn it?"
Innuit was surprised.
"What? What are you saying?"
Ben looked into his eyes, "This place has nothing to give anymore. We have to burn it,"
Ben got up and Innuit got up with him, "What do you mean? Wait—Are you actually serious right now?"
"I'm always serious,"
Innuit looked at him, "I'm not doing this, I think—"
"Shut up,"
"No, I—"
"No really, shut up," Ben closed his eyes. Innuit looked at him. Ben heard a loud noise from far away—Most probably it was wind blades. He opened his eyes and looked ahead, he could see a helicopter, "They are here to kill us," Ben said.
"Quick, to the village!" They both ran down the hill and the helicopter landed right in the middle of the village.
Everyone brought out their weapons and pointed them at the helicopter. A white man with a blonde beard walked out of the helicopter with another white man, "Well, Cooper, look what we have here,"
Ben came forward, "Who are you?"
"Oh, you know English. That makes our work easier. Could you ask your men to put away their weapons, pretty please?" He smiled.
Ben looked through the helicopter. They had gunpowder and explosives within. It won't be a long fight with these men. He raised his hands and everyone put their weapons down.
"Excellent,"
"Why are you here?"
"We've bought this island and I plan to make a resort here. So, you redskins gotta get out of here,"
"Hey, how dare you say that!" Innuit rushed towards them but Ben held his arm.
"Oh, this twat knows English too, Cooper. You said they don't know English, good thing we didn't' waste any money on a translator,"
"Where are we gonna live if you throw us out?" Innuit asked.
"Not my problem, go live on some island,"
"Mister, this tribe has been living here for centuries,"
"And well, now it just won't. I want this place empty by the next two weeks. We'll be starting the construction then,"
"Oh no, you don't tell us what to do," Innuit came forward, "Get the hell out of here, we are not going anywhere, do whatever you want,"
He took out a gun from his pocket and pressed it on Innuit's head, "We'll kill you and throw your stinky body in the ocean and no one will know, we're still being pretty decent with you,"
"Innuit, move away," Ben said. But Innuit placed a knife on his throat, "That doesn't sound very nice. How about," He smirked, "You're the one who is killed,"
"Innuit, stop it,"
"So, you're not gonna move, redskin—"
"The name's Innuit, and I'd prefer if you call me that rather than "redskin","
"Innuit," Ben pulled him away from the European man, "I'm sorry about him, he's just a kid,"
"And so are you," He laughed and looked around at other people, "You mind if we take some women from here?"
"You!" Innuit moved towards them but Ben held his arm, "They've got ammunitions, don't do something stupid," He whispered and Innuit clicked his tongue. The European man moved towards Si and looked at her, "Very beautiful,"
Innuit looked at Ben and Ben looked away. Everyone stared at Ben, why wasn't he doing anything? He touched Si's cheeks and leaned towards her, "We can keep her as a slave,"
Suddenly, his hand spilt from his arm and fell away. He shouted in pain as Innuit stared at him with the blood-covered knife in his hand.
"Innuit!"
"I don't give a fuck! If you disrespect the women of my tribe, you're having it from me! Because I swore to their protection,"
"UGH! COOPER!"
The other man took out a gun from his coat and aimed at the people, "KILL EVERYONE OF THEM!"
Shots were fired. Everyone ran in different directions. That was a massacre, the sand was red and so was the water that flowed into the ocean, some ran away, were caught and then killed. They got on their helicopter and threw bombs from above. All the trees caught fire and so did the huts. The village was burning right before Ben's eyes. Innuit grabbed his hands and ran through the burning woods as bombs fell from the sky. They reached the huge rock on the hill, beneath them was water.
"We're stuck!" Innuit said, "...What do we do now?"
"No, you are stuck,"
"What do you mean?" Innuit turned back and looked at him.
"You have to go," Ben pressed his shoulders, "Leave the island and swim 70kms to the East to Port Hudson, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States,"
"What are you talking about? What about you?"
"I will come there soon too,"
"But the tribe—"
"Everyone's dead, Innuit! Yes, I know it hurts but yeah, I can't feel anyone's energy anymore, everyone's dead and we will be too if we stay here. Try to understand, we lost everything, okay?
"...Okay," Innuit looked at the water.
"Also," Ben smiled, "I'm sorry," His body began glowing blue and so did Innuit's body. His hair took the colour of a burning flame,
"For what?"
"For selling the tribe," He pushed Innuit and Innuit's pupils dilated as he looked at Ben one last time. He went down the rock and landed into the water.
After being with someone for so long, it's hard to imagine what life would be without them.
I sold the island because I needed money to move forward with my plans. I wasn't on Earth for a vacation. I was on a mission, and I wasn't allowed to have feelings.
Ben looked up at the sky at the helicopter and raised his arms. His eyes began shining blue,
I'm sorry for lying to you, Innuit.
"Come up, Ben!" The European man shouted. Ben flew up and flew ear the helicopter. He closed his eyes and all the trees uprooted from the ground, rose into the air and fell into the ocean.
"Well, that made our job fairly easy. Thank you," They gave a suitcase to him, "Here's what you came for,"
Ben took the suitcase, "Thank you for the business,"
I'm never using my powers again,'
He flew all the way to Port Hudson and looked for Innuit.
And he found him but maybe it was too late. Well, guess five years are enough to forget someone from a childhood memory. Was that the reason he betrayed him again?
"You keep stabbing me on my back while shaking my hand, what the hell do you want?!"
"Ben!" Ben quickly opened his eyes as she felt the water on his face. The police officials had poured an entire bucket of water on his face. He had handcuffs around his wrist. "Get up already," He stood up inside the prison as the water rolled down his neck. His pink eyes had huge brown bags under them. He had a chain around his neck, connecting to his handcuffs.
They pulled him out of the prison as he walked towards the light. When he looked down the balcony of the court, he could see a huge crowd, everyone protesting to sentence him to death. He looked at them as he walked,
'How did I end up in this nightmare?'
Meanwhile, a man in white walked towards a huge office room, "Sir, Ben has his court hearing today,"
That man turned back. A blonde girl about nineteen stood beside him. He had white hair and wore a black masquerade, "Make sure he loses the case,"
"What do you want the verdict to be?"
"A death sentence,"
